Momma Bear Beach Bonfires, Santa Rosa Beach FL

Our family made the best memories and had the best experience with Momma Bear Bonfires during our Rosemary Beach vacation. Mike was fantastic with prompt communication months in advance to set everything up and made everything seamless! We’re already planning our next trip and bonfire over the holidays!

I had called to book a bonfire on the beach and while on the phone I was hung up on. I immediately called back and after a few rings it would go to voice-mail. I tried a few times over the course of an hour and eventually left a message on the voice-mail and even sent them a message on the website. I never heard back from them.

Edit. They are making false claims. This is a very real account and that was a very real experience. Nice try

One more edit. I posted this review last year and the company just now replied. Not onlying lying but also rude to any other reviews that left a negative review. Spend your money else where!

Momma Bear Beach Bonfires is the best! We have used them for the last three years we’ve been to the beach. Mike is great to work with. He listened to what I needed and provided everything. His bonfire preparation made my husband’s 70th birthday a great success. Thanks mama bear beach bonfires.

Thank you Momma Bear Beach Bonfire for helping me provide my family the gift of a beach bonfire! The set up was perfect and even added a s’mores set up for us. We all had a great evening and will be making it a yearly tradition. Also we got to see a pony on the beach!

With the cold weather during Christmas holiday, the bonfire was the highlight of our short trip. Our family of 5 enjoyed the excellent setups and arrangements Mike provided. Highly recommend this company!

Always an outstanding experience. Kyle does a great job setting up the bonfire, chairs, tiki torches, etc. He tends the fire when needed and is respectful of the participants. We have used Momma Bear several times and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.

We had an awesome experience with Mama Bear Bonfires. Great communication. Upfront with all information we needed, and were there early and had our set up perfect. Even considered which direction the wind was blowing so we didn’t have smoke in our faces.

Mike was helpful and communicative throughout the booking process and leading up to our event. He kept the bonfire going for our entire event, and made sure to check in on us throughout the evening to see if there was anything we needed. He even helped me lug our wagon up the steps at the end of the night. Mike went above and beyond and I can’t wait to book my next bonfire with Momma Bear!

We have used Kyle and Momma Bear Beachfires numerous times. This is a family business and they treat you like family. Their prices and flexibility and friendliness are the best. I wouldn’t use anyone else!

We had the best time at the beach because Mike made our experience so memorable. He was attentive, but gave us space. He moved us to a great location when a large party descended near our fire location. I cannot recommend Momma Bear Beach Bonfires enough. Mike is awesome and will go above and beyond to make everything perfect!

We used Momma Bear Bonfires for my daughter's birthday bonfire at Grayton Beach. The communication leading up to the event was excellent. Our "fire guy" MIke was outstanding - the set-up was beautiful and ready when we arrived, he had a cart and helped us carry our (many) personal items to set-up, he attended to everything that we needed and more. The set-up included s'mores, a table, Bose speaker, tiki torches and chairs.

I would HIGHLY recommend booking Momma Bear for a bonfire - they do a fantastic job and more importantly are great people to work with! Thank you for creating a memorable night!

We received a little bonfire on the beach with mama bear beach bonfires. They did not disappoint. The man that set it all up was so nice and even let us stay a little past our reservation time to continue catching crabs.amazing first time experience

Not sure if this business has changed hands or what, but I would say my experience was quite terrible with Momma Bear Beach Bonfires. I know it is hard to decipher real reviews online, but decided I needed to highlight my experience since I choose them because of all the great reviews (which I now see some were created by the current owner). It started great.got an immediate call to confirm and work out all the details. It then started to go downhill from there.

1. I was trying to check into the photographer option. I was told it was $300. Then I find out the owner would take the pictures. Thinking this was odd, as most of the other companies I looked at had actual photographers take photos. Sounded a little fishy, but asked for some samples of past photos. Nothing was ever sent. When I asked if they had photographers they worked with, I was sent two links for $1500 sessions. When I went back to ask about the other option, the price jumped to $450 for photos.

2. The day of the event, a huge storm is coming our way. I text and don't get a response. I walk the beach to ensure we are good to cancel the event and a poor employee is there. It is his first day and has to call someone else to confirm. I then get a text telling me it will most likely pass to the north (as I am literally watching it lightning down the beach). I then listen to the owner go back and forth with another company on the beach.where the competitor literally tells my guy "to do the right thing" I guess he was trying to take all the money for the event and not refund me anything. I then get confirmation we can cancel and reschedule. Well I find out a rescheduling fee is another $105 dollars on top of what I already paid.

3. I then ask for a refund. I was told to look back at one of my previous texts which states the permitting fee is non-refundable. Okay, not great, but I understand. So I am refunded everything but $155. I had done some other research and see the county charges only $105 for the permit. I am confused why I am not getting back another $50, and am told the additional $50 is for the work they did to secure the permit. (So I was mislead and then charged $50 for somebody to buy a permit online, with nothing to show).

4. The worst part of all of this, is when I inquire about the additional $50.knowing the real county permit fee is only $105, I am told I am begging for my $50 and that if I am concerned about $50 that the event was out of my price range and the owner suggests I not come to that area.

So - If you want to roll the dice on the weather and be out $155 with nothing to show.maybe this is right for you. However, I would recommend a more respectful and trustworthy option.

I had a big girls trip planned and we wanted to plan a fun experience. We decided that a bonfire would be a fun; unique experience. We were not disappointed! It was so beautiful and worth every Penny. Kyle does a great setup and was very communicative! He was there to keep the fire going, answer all our questions about 30A, but gave us our space to have fun! I would highly recommend using Momma Bear Beach Bonfires for your beach bonfire!

Best beach bonfire company on 30A! We really enjoyed working with Kyle and his team; great communication, excellent service and terrific bonfire set-up (permit, wood, tiki torches, table etc). Highly recommend. Will definitely book again with Momma Bear Beach Bonfires!

To start off Kyle was very nice. My issue is that our package included speakers but they died literally 5mins after we arrived. I contacted Kyle and heard nothing back and after a little over 30mins he arrived with firewood and no speakers. He left and retuned about 15mins later with new speakers that were lower than my phone speakers, so we just used our phones for music. After that he never returned and didn't respond to my message. We ended up leaving early because honestly the vibe was off with the music so low. I would definitely recommend a beach bonfire but maybe with a different company.
