Mom's Place Restaurant reviews
17This was one of the best Haitian restaurant I ever been to. The fish was delicious and well seasoned. I will definitely be back. You missing out on life if you don’t eat at mom’s restaurant.
Went for breakfast in Saturdays around 7.30 am, after been waiting for 20 minutes. They told us they don't have early service on the weekends
Good tasting food. Loved their shrimp omelette and French toast. Very good server, respectful and all very attentive keeping with the coffee and drinks refills. Definitely would go again to try other options in the menu. I spend more because I wanted to try a few things in the menu, but they really had good prices. That meatloaf and burgers sounded like a great option for me to try next time.
My first time here. The staff was very pleasant and my food was homestyle delicious. I will definitely be returning. The meals are also budget friendly so you can eat out on the regular.
Food was excellent. Server was friendly and very courteous to all our needs. Very clean inside which is a plus for me.
Stock diner food. 4 or 5* service every time, with 2* food. Yes its cheap and fast, but as a breakfast joint, it's not hard nor expensive to make your own gravy
Fantastic place, old school feel and quality food. Prices were decent and the food tasted delicious. It is cash only, but there is an ATM on site. I loved that the register was such an old design you don't see much anymore. Would love to come back and try more dishes.
A treasure in Tampa, you should go for sure. But bring cash, they don't take debit / credit cards. They do have a ATM machine though, avoid surcharge bring cash! Great food and service you won't be disappointed!
Day try to move people quickly so you can be seated The food was great and great service and reasonable price, cash only
Service was quick. Coffee was hot. Food was great, especially for the price. Great place to snag a quick, yet better than average, breakfast.
Steak & eggs. Cooked the way I like. The grits could have more salt I understand some people can't have salt.i just added some great service. Enjoyed myself.
This place is delicious. The chicken gyro and Greek salad were tasty. The Philly Cheesesteak was rich and meaty. The fries were hot and crispy. The pancakes were buttery and silky smooth. The Boston Cream Pie was creamy and chocolatey. They accept only cash for payment, so be ready for that.
I felt like I was in my grandmother's kitchen in a very good way.
I loved the food and the service was top notch.
Everything was homemade and you could taste it.
Came here on a Sunday a few weeks ago to order liver and onions, scrambled eggs, and a vegetable soup. For "desert" I wanted just one slice of french toast. They offer an order of two slices for $4.95. I asked a server if they could do just one slice for $2.50. She refused. She then called a manager and she refused also. The manager kept blabbering something about how their prices are already low and that to make a french toast you need to have eggs and that they are using Texas toast, etc. It was like talking to a wall. I did not want her to cut prices on a french toast. I simply wanted one slice. She said that they could give me one piece, but I would still have to pay for two. Every diner in the area - First Watch, Trip's Diner, etc. - have no problem doing a one-piece order. This place was completely inflexible. My total for lunch would have been around $20 plus tip. Instead, I got up and went to a different diner that had no problem giving me just one slice of french toast for an appropriate price.
This is home cooking in a friendly environment. Big portions and low prices. Great for a fast and filling breakfast or lunch.
Biscuits and gravy, bland, with heavy flower taste.
Service was great, very accommodating offered to give me something different.
