Monkey's Uncle Tavern, Jacksonville Beach FL

Fresh, Bright, and Lively. Gone are the days of the old dark hideout Monkey's Uncle.
Mr. Carter and his staff have taken a time tested and successful neighborhood haunt and made it BETTER! Hate that it's no longer down the street from my house, but love the new vibrant look. Still the best wings, gator, and fish bites in town!

This place is wonderful. All age groups are welcome as well as families. The food is wonderful the burgers are incredible as well as the fresh fried shrimp and the meatloaf dinner is outstanding!
Bar staff are attentive and do a great job whether it be the bartender or the waitresses. They have a stage which they use for karaoke, not sure if they have bands but if they do what a great addition to the casual bustling ambience.
I had a mushroom Swiss burger that was phenomenal with the Fried Boom Boom shrimp. Both were delicious. On another visit had the meatloaf (better than moms) trust me. A great place after the beach or for a late dinner as kitchen is open until 1 am. This will become a regular stop for me. It’s inexpensive and very good. You have nothing to lose by trying it! Go have a beer and the Boom Boom Shrimp!

Its ok, its a smokers bar, so be aware. Nothing really outstanding or problematic, average beach bar with many locals.

Food was cold, Fries, meat, cheese not melted. Roll was stale. Aweful. Used to be great, hope they get the old chef back. Please!

Good beer available, great bands. They still seem to be working on their live band announcements. Would be much more convenient to know who is playing ahead of time

Music was too loud, drink prices are outrageous! The company was great, of course, and the patrons are fun.
