Monroe County Public Library, Key West FL

Unfortunately, the library allows unaccompanied minors. The children in the youth section got into a physical altercation and there were no adults or staff present. When staff finally arrived the acted as of ths was an accepted and normal behavior. Safety and security is a huge issue.

Very helpful staff. Computers available for free use to card holders. They even deliver books to certain places, such as the Senior Living Center. You can go online and order any book. They will text or email info. They also hold differing tours, classes, ect. You can usually find parking on the premises behind the library building. The parking can be accessed by the side street. There are two large Handicap accessible parking spots, also, in that back area. (if helpful, please "like" Thanks!)

Blaugh! This library is filled with a bunch of bums. Can’t belive I come to this area to do research and this is what I get! Reeks of dry urine, sponge and feces combined. I had to go into my Covid stash to get a mask. It’s a homeless hangout. I couldn’t stay there.

Excellent for children, there are books in English and other languages including bilingual books in Spanish/
English, HCreole/English. Additionally, there are always worthwhile, enriching year round programs for children.
