I've brought over a dozen commercial fleet and personal vehicles to Jon over the last 8 years. I've tried other shops in the area and the knowledge, timely service, and honest diagnosis has been unmatched. They speak with love and care about the community's need to have reliable transportation. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If your not bringing your vehicles to Monterey Transmission to be serviced, I am sorry for your loss.

Repaired my daughters transmission and it runs great. My truck developed some issues and I thought it was a failure with the transmission, Monterey Transmission performed a diagnostic and let me know there were no issues with the transmission, it was an engine camshaft phaser, you do not find honesty like this very much anymore! I highly recommend Monterey Transmission!

I would like to thank Monterey Transmissions & Total Car Care for fix my GMC Yukon XL transmission at an affordable price after the dealership told me I would need a new transmission. I purchased this vehicle only 4 months ago, before I had issues with the transmission. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem. Drop off Monday and got it back Wednesday. I have been going to Monterey for past 4-5 years for all of my car’s repair and needs. In our area there are a dime a dozen guys who call themselves auto mechanics, but they don’t provide the kind of customer service and care that Monterey does.

If you want an honest place to take your vehicle. THIS IS A "TRUE" & "HONEST" shop. After getting a $4000 quote from a (4letter words) mechanic. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and so glad Monterrey Transmission (John.the owner) and his staff were the answer. Cant thank you enough for your integrity and honesty. The $4000 quoted by the other rip off shop was a simple fix. $200.

Transmission went out in my 2012 Nissan Altima. I thought for sure my car was done, thanks to the guys at Monterey transmission I'm back in the road in 4 days! The staff is knowledgeable and experienced. The staff thoroughly explained the process and the costs and I was comfortable making a decision about a very expensive repair. I recommend Monterrey transmissions to anybody who has a transmission problem.

Went in for what I thought was a transmission problem. Talked with me and checked the vehicle out. Found other area that needed the work done that caused my problems. My 2nd nice surprise was the price. If it went back to the dealer Labor would of been 2 or 3 times the price. The price of the parts would of been a "Stupid" price. I miss my old repair shop back home in Pa.but after 10 years here in Stuart, I can finally say I found my replacement that will treat me as good or better.

John's shop came highly recommended when I had reverse and torque issues suddenly one afternoon. Took it in expecting my 2007 Lincoln Mark LT needed major transmission repair. John called me up and said someone (in this case my toddler) had engaged the 4 wheel drive by turning a knob while car was in park. No charge. Yes, Christmas came early that Monday morning. Then, I understood why this shop came so highly recommended by my friend, Pop.
