Monticciolo Family & Sedation Dentistry reviews
15Very nice staff and the dentist I am working with is awesome. I am glad I chose to come here for my dentistry.
Dr. Lake and Donald are the best team in any dental office that I have ever used. They are so caring and perform the best dental work anywhere. I would reccomend them and Monticciolo Family & Sedation Denistry to anyone who wants the best. Tamara C.
Been a patient here for years. Always have Karen clean my teeth. And she is excellent, wonderful person highly recommended.
UNPROFESSIONAL! I was cancelled on twice- waited 9 months for a cleaning after being forced to reschedule due to their lack of staffing. Then they call me 2 days before my appointment and told me I'd have to pay out of pocket because they decided to drop my insurance. They took it for my original appointment and would not honor their commitment. DO NOT trust this place- they're looking for out of pocket payments!
Financing was easy, and although the dentist is new to the practice, she was excellent! State of the art technology and overall good experience.
Absolutely horrible business. Wasted two weeks to get a crown done but upon arrival they weren’t accepting any of my Endodontics X-rays, referral etc… my dentist prior to going to the Endodontics they already had done a full set of X-rays so why was I going to do it again. It’s only been 3 weeks. I know why because this place wanted more money. Don’t go to this place!
Very caring and helpful, definitely recommend for nervous and scaredy cats, thank all of you for being kind
Cari K you're the best-
The best hygienist and cleaning I have ever received from Karen since I have been treated by Monticciolo Dentistry. I take her recommendations very seriously for continued oral care.
Today was my first visit and found the Staff to very professional and friendly. Looking forward in becoming part of the Monticciolo family.
Dr. V and Kelly were the absolute best! Thoroughly explained what was wrong, and how they were going to fix it, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way through both visits. You’re very funny and personable as well. Would highly recommend.
Kathryn did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. Dr
Kystelle Duvert, DDS is the best. Very experienced, knowledgeable and caring with her patients.
All of the staff is very friendly. Feels like home! Highly recommend!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and made my first visit less stressful as well as my cleaning which was much overdue! Thank you to the staff and doctor for a good experience! I had a crown redone and all went well! Follow up cleaning went well and Kathryn was awesome!
I went here because I thought I’d cracked my bridge and wanted it taken care of right away. The dentist I had been going to (and love) had staffing issues and it just got too crazy for me. So, I decided to go here, since my sister does and loves the hygienist.
First red flag…. Instead of just ex-raying the bridge, they did my whole mouth. It was a bit odd, but I didn’t think much of it at the time, since I was thinking this will probably be my new dentist.
Then I was told by Dr. Ruppel that it wasn’t a crack, that it was just a stain that was caused by build up from a previous dentist. I have never had any work done to that bridge since it was put in.
Then he said I needed cleanings every 4 months. Ok. Fine.
So I go to check out, no available cleanings until next year. Then I was told (very rudely) that I couldn’t make the appointment to have to bridge replaced until I paid for it. Now I’m thinking this place might be a bit shady since every dentist I’ve ever been to makes you pay the day of the appointment. And if I’d died before my appointment, (sh happens), they just made almost $3000 for doing nothing.
So, I went to see my previous dentist (staffing issues are resolved), and yes, I had cracked the bridge, and no, nobody had ever done a build up on it. I also had some decay under it, so thankfully I didn’t wait to get it done, (which I would have if I’d believed it was just cosmetic) or I could have had some serious issues that would have cost a small fortune.
So, for $800 less, I now have a shiny new bridge and am back at my previous dentist…. For good!
I have a friend that does billing for a dentist and she told me the reason why she thinks Dr. Ruppel said it wasn’t a crack is because he either didn’t know (scary thought) or because insurance companies often don’t cover cosmetic work, so it’s more money in their pockets. And that could also be why he had my whole mouth unnecessarily ex rayed…. $$$$
Yep! Shady af!
There are some really great dental offices in Seminole, so I recommend skipping this one and going to a better one.
This office is the worst! I made my 2nd cleaning, 6 Mos later they called and said they were short on hygienist and couldn't see me, I made another appt.and they cancelled it! Bad
Update 8/29/23. I had 2 bad experiences before this one, so I think it is fair to also talk about the good one. Today, I had appt for a root canal and everything was way bette than I was expecting as i had lost some confidence from my 2 previous experiences. Today they make me feels secure and provider was nice, they show me they can care about my nervousness and procedure was completely in a smooth way. So I am increasing the start rates.
I waited 4 month to get impressions of a crown, when I showed up for my appointment they said I was not on schedule and that “someone” called me 3 days before to cancel that appt. When I told the lady that I never received that call she says “oh well, we are been having problems of people canceling patients appt without documentation”. Then she said your Dr does not work here anymore maybe he/she canceled all her patients before leaving (my second Dr by the way). But wait, there is more…Then I asked why I received a $5 dollar bill when my insurance pays 100% of my cleaning; she said “actually the system says you owe $84”.
They don’t have a stable provider, seems they don’t care about making or canceling appointments in a proper way and they have no clue on how to work EOB’s and billing, they only have 1 hygienist so you have to wait 8-12 month for a cleaning. And for the record, this hygienist is the only good reason to go to that office.
