We have stayed there since the kids were small but it needs to be updated and things need to be fixed. The toilets rock and needs alot of painting. Room was really clean no bugs but needs alot of work. They say they have a pool but it has been covered with concrete. No Pool needs to be removed off of site.

Place has roaches, bed sheets disgusting. Toilet wasn’t cleaned. Awful experience
After paying for the room with my card. Front desk clerk told me I need to pay a $20 cash deposit. Didn’t pay it laughed in his face.

We’ve stayed in worse stayed in better, for one night not bad for the price. Friendly and helpful desk clerk.

There were roaches in our room, and my brothers car was broken into and gas was stolen. When asked to see the video they refused. The beds feel like sleeping on plywood, and there was obvious drug activity on the premises. When I was checking out I had a hard time getting my deposit back because the lady checking us in didn’t put a record of taking one. She said I had to give a deposit because I was paying in cash. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Easy to get to. Very clean floor, towels and linens. The young lady who was working on Monday morning deserves a raise and gets my praise. I could not open my door from inside my room. I called the desk and she came immediately to help. Door opened fine from the outside. Not only did she get it open, she returned with tools and fixed it. Well done young lady.

I have traveled all over the world, and the Motel 6 in Macclenny, FL is among the finest hotels I have ever stayed in.

This hotel very clean and for the most part kept up for the most part. The room was very clean. As mentioned in other reviews the beds were very hard and front desk representative said they are new beds so they bought cheap hard mattresses. My room door lock didn't work properly. I had to use deadbolt and safety latch to keep door closed. I dealt with it since I could see in crack of door that dead bolt work and safety latch worked. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance to hotel. The area seams pretty safe nice city. I'm a truck driver yes they have truck parking on the street between this hotel and Wendy's but unless you're in day cab you can't drive around Wendy's but there is a driveway I pulled down in front of Wendy's then backed on the street next to the hotel.

I have had an amazing experience staying here and was pleasantly surprised. This is my first time staying at a Motel 6. I received a room on the 2nd floor. It is absolutely spotless, just extremely clean, and it also has a great color palette/atmosphere. Not a single trace of cigarette smoke either so that's a plus. The internet is absurdly fast. Likely even faster than the internet in my own home. Water pressure is great. Everything here is fantastic. Right next door to Wendys also if you want to grab a quick meal to eat, you can walk right over in less than a minute.

My room looked as if I'd stepped into some kind of podunk town drug party room. It was just so plain and the furniture was ugly. The air conditioner is an old model, quite loud, and the bed was just the absolute worst ever! The blankets/sheets looked as if they were dirty.not stained.just a few random specs of dirt and hairs.like perhaps from air travel or dropping them on the floor before making the bed. The blankets were thin, yet super stiff and heavy. The pillow were flat and the bed was just about as hard as sleeping on the floor. I called over to the Hampton across the street to try getting a room there but they were at capacity. Must be the only reason anyone would stay at this Motel! I didn't even care if I wouldn't get a refund. I would've gone over to the Hampton right away! I was absolutely exhausted but couldn't sleep for hours!

Clean and friendly. Like someone actually did an in-depth cleaning. Not easy to find these days. Will stay again. Pets are free, at least. Made me feel all warm and cozy at home, I even fealt comfortable enough to put my pajamas on. Kudos to you. Got to love small town Florida.

End of April 2022. Room 120. Failed to check shower function when checking in. Big mistake. After returning from dinner, time to take a shower before bed. I don't expect luxuries at Motel 6 but I do expect cold AND hot running water in the shower. First touch of shower handle and I knew something was wrong. Cold water temp and pressure were fine. The best I could get out of hot was a tepid week stream, barely strong enough to get shampoo out of hair.
I went to front desk before I took a shower in hopes of getting another room and her reply was a suggestion to turn the handle a certain way. I explained that does not work. She said I could get refunded but I would have to leave. Too late for that. I suggested room 122 which appeared unoccupied but was told that room was not available or unusable. Full price for a half functioning shower. Lesson learned: Always check shower function before committing to stay.

Facilities were great, but the management needs to get it together and stop making up policies as they go. We were told to pay a pet deposit of 40$ on the room, we were told it was refundable, when we went to check out we were informed for the first time that stay that our dogs weren't allowed on the beds and that we wouldn't get our deposit back because of pet hair. I'm sorry but unless I'm mistaken (and I'd better not be), you are required to clean the bedding and floors between visitors. Why then, are we being charged for damages or extra cleaning for basic housekeeping? This is ridiculous. Motel 6 sells itself as pet friendly and none of the things demanded of us are in the company policy. There might have been location specific policy posted in the office, but I wouldn't know. The office door is kept locked at all hours and they do not post anything about this on the night window.
The people that operate this franchise are afraid of/hate dogs and are punishing guests who come here believing it is a safe harbor as they travel with pets. Will never give these d bags my money again. Red roof inn is ACTUALLY pet friendly. Go there.

Generally not a huge fan of motel 6 but this one is far better than most and it's head and shoulders above the other bargain motels in town. Stay here a few times a year when In town on business.

Please call corporate if you're having any problems with this location. We need to hold these managers to their franchise's policies.

The facilities were great here, besides the fact that the last day we were there we couldn't get into our room. Not sure what happened with the door but the key card no longer worked.

The management at this location is terrible. I've seen so many reviews at this point about "pet deposits" which is absolutely against Motel 6's policy. (They only charge pet deposits for Studio 6 which this location is not)

We were staying at this location for two days and decided on the 2nd day to pay for another day just so we could sleep a little bit before traveling again.

The manager was in the office (which they kept locked for the whole time we were there, didn't provide a list of their policies whatsoever) and she was the rudest person I've ever dealt with at a Motel 6.

She called us out about our dogs, implying we never disclosed them, and that we'd need to pay a pet deposit IN CASH? Obviously I declined that. I'm sorry but I've been scammed enough.

We were then told when we were checking out that if our dogs stayed on the bed at all, we wouldn't be getting our deposit back for "extra cleaning. " Last I checked they had to clean the sheets between visits so not really sure how that's extra cleaning.

I feel we had ours refunded but that was only because we called corporate and let the overnight worker at the location know that we did so.

Be careful with this location, politely remind them of their company's policies. It's time for us consumers to take back the market and for scummy franchise owners to be held accountable for their actions.

I gave it a 5 review. It's really nice place to stay and I felt safe. Had a place to walk my dog. I stayed 2 night.
Could use a rug at the door. But other than that it was ok

I stayed here for 2 weeks, when my fiance was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital as we were traveling. I would pay for a couple nights at a time as I was unsure when he would be cleared to leave. The staff charged me an extra $30-40 on top of my room costs every time I went to extend my stay, and when I questioned it was told "prices change all the time" despite the price I was charged not matching anything I could find online anywhere.

I booked a room from 11/6/21 to 11/7/21 and I had to leave early because of the roach infestation. I went into the refrigerator around 1 a.m and a roach was on my food inside the refrigerator. I turned on the lights and there were 2 roaches on the refrigerator and one on the floor in front of the refrigerator door. Then I look on the walls and there were 4 more! I checked my luggage, packed and checked out! At the front desk I told the employee about what happened and she didn't care at all. Motel 6 has not reached out to refund my money or correct the situation. I've waited 3 weeks and nothing. So I decided to let everyone know. Sleep here at your own risk. Also there was pet hair all over the floor. Who ever is cleaning, they need to be fired. I included 5 pics with this post.

UPDATE: I see that you replied 3 months later after the incident took place. I'm responding 2/10/22 fyi. Where is the refund? Apologies are a typical PR move, we all know that. You can list your contact information and I'll reach out. Only if a refund is on the table.

I suggest everyone trying to save money on a motel room just head on over to the red roof inn. The staff is way friendlier and they won't try to scam you for having a pet. The woman at motel 6 tried saying I had to pay a 50$ pet deposit in cash only incase of damages, and others have said they never got their deposit back because of "pet hair on the bed". I turned around and left. I've been to many motel 6's, they are usually my preferred motel, but I've never had them do that so in my experience it seems like their just trying to scam you. Red roof in was only 10$ more, no pet fee, no roaches, friendly staff, and nicer rooms!
