Motif, Fort Lauderdale FL

Quite honestly the worst experience with an apartment I’ve ever had. From day one this apartment was miserable. When I went to get keys for move in, my apartment hadn’t been cleaned yet. With my stuff packed up ready to move and no where to go I ran errands while I waited for it to be cleaned. Trish neglected to notify me when it was done so after hours and 2 times having to physically check, I checked back and the cleaning professionals had left. There were still things left there and stuff on the shower walls. Multiple times I went to the mail room, would be chatting with a neighbor and they warned me about how horrible their experience and management was. One neighbor that lived by the garbage shoot had maggots. Over the year I lived in the apartment I noticed how gross the hallways were, one of the elevators on the second floor always smelled like fish. There is feces EVERYWHERE. Dog feces and human feces as there are homeless that sleep on the building. Don’t bother calling the leasing office, they won’t talk to you and will tell you to refer to their email. If they do, they act like you’re wasting their time and you’re doing something wrong. Way over priced for the quality of management. It’s a very beautiful but very dirty, and poorly ran apartment community. Such a shame.

Always wanted to tour this building and I decided to explore my curiosity. From the outside you wouldn't think it would be so affordable. The price is truly
worth it! Considering where I live at, I know I am truly missing out. The quality and experience that I received, was unmatched. I Toured with Trish and she is representing this building well. She was so welcoming from the moment I walked in. One word for this building WOW.

Outstanding pool & gym experience and units are very nice. Everything else in between with parking, dirty hallways, feces & urine everywhere by poor dog owners, elevators constantly down and lastly and very much the most important, the management team is flat out incompetent in every way. Show no communication skills, don’t follow up and don’t care with anything you say or request. Hate to mention names but Trish shows no signs of friendliness and always stops you when you speak and thinks you are attacking her when you speak to her. Evident by prior reviews you find similar stories about this. Lacie the property manager does play the role as highest person in charge on-site and is no help. Your reviews will be answered by regional manager in CALIFORNIA with the same plugged in three response and will never return your emails or calls. Anything you do has to made by appointment and “done in email”. At some point every resident will have to deal with management during their lease and this was a huge factor of my departure.

This place is beautiful. I love the amenities. Management is super professional. Have been touring a lot of properties in this area and they have by far the best customer service!

Toured this community yesterday. I wanna take the time out to say that the building is beautiful I love the rooftop pool, gym and the glass showers. The office staff is so professional. I toured with Trisha and she was so informative and bubbly. Every resident she ran into she knew them by name and they greeted her with a smile. That was a plus for me. The price is too high for me but I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to live in a Luxy art community

I move in this month! The building amenities is better than the apartments in the area. One of the reasons why I moved into Motif. Shout out to Motif Leasing Office. I know I have been a pain, but Trish has been super helpful and understanding. The entire Motif family thank you.

I had an amazing move-in experience with the staff at Motif. I was honestly a pretty bad customer. I came in too early and on the wrong day to pick-up my keys and yet the leasing agents still accommodated me. Everyone was very friendly. I also had to reschedule my move-in multiple times after canceling last minute and they quickly helped me reschedule with no fuss.

We have been over 3 year residents here at motif and the new management company which is taken over is just awesome. Lacy is on top of everything maintenance she keeps everything running like a fine Swiss watch cleanliness has improved 100%. Maintenance has improved 300% the latest management team working constantly 7 days a week and it shows. We're very proud of where we live and we're long time real estate broker's 50 years in the business we have a town house here we couldn't be happier. We talk to new residents and residents that have been here almost as long as we have and they are so happy with the new management. Our management company cares they're doing their best they're turning everything around it's the place to live.

I hardly share reviews about my experiences but this one means a lot to me. Overall the apartment is great and is in a good location. What left a bad taste in my mouth was the Trish girl at the leasing office. She's not mature yet to qualify as a woman despite her age due to her uncultured manners. How do you talk over people asking you questions about a lease and say we have to sign the lease before you can answer any questions. For a leasing agreement of 56 pages each of which you have to sign, it's easy to miss a few pages, and I missed only one, so if I'm wondering why it didn't submit, don't give me an attitude as far as telling me to sign the lease NOW when I'm wondering why it's not working. Also, there's no reward in silently emailing someone in the leasing office while we are having a convo to come in and be on your side as if it's a ghetto squabble or as if I'm committing some crime and you have to snitch. After talking to a friend who lived there she told me far too many people have had issues with her. Lo and behold, a moment before writing this, a delivery guy entered the leasing office to drop of an item, only for Trish to shout at the guy: "sir you don't need to bring that delivery here, go through the back. " only to be civilized and shutdown with a simple "this package is for someone in the office". I'm also seeing a few comments on here about her so this is something you need to look into seriously.

That girl is the best, she knows how to do her job. It's very good. The apartment and the pool are 100 out of 100

I am currently moving in and still getting acclimated -Ms. Stephanie and the Motif staff have made me feel welcomed and I am grateful to begin a new journey here at Motif so far

I was looking for apartment in Flagler Village I toured apartments in the area I went into Motif I met Ms. Kayla Joaquin she took me on a tour it was very incredible I did not make my decision yet I was looking for more apartments I lost a very important folder and I did not know where I lost the folder I went back into Motif I spoke with the staff and to my surprise Ms. Layce Baker Magana Held the folder for me until I came back in to Retrieve it They were so kind and helpful from that point on I knew I wanted to live in Motif The amenities are wonderful they continue to strive for Excellence they always have Events for the Residence the Building are always clean is also a very diverse community Maintenance is on top of everything all around a wonderful experience Superior Management Under the leadership of Ms. Layce Baker Magana Community Manager and Ms. Patricia Rostock Assistant Community Manager and Ms. Kayla Joaquin Leasing Agent They run a first class top-of-the-line organization Mr. Swamy a residence there he Spoke how he was living in a studio and when he wanted to change into a two bedroom apartment it was kind of Complicated but the staff help him out and made it smooth Motif is truly one of the best apartments I ever lived in in my life and that starts from the top Once again superior Management thank you all

We're so happy we moved here! The whole move-in process was made so easy thanks to Trish, who's kindness and expertise made a huge difference and a very smooth process. We can't thank you enough Trish! Kayla is very sweet & the other ladies in the leasing office have been very accommodating as well. We love the building's design and all the facilities, with our favorites being the 7th floor Sunset terrace & the pool (a rooftop pool is hard to beat, specially when it comes with a view!). Great gym too. Free coffee is offered at most upscale properties, but the Motif takes it a step up and offers free beers & wine. Now that's what we call a great perk! Our pups love the Pet Lounge & the park and we love the convenience of the Pet Spa. No more grooming fees! All in all we're very glad we chose to move here despite a few bad reviews (by the way, the garage security issue has been addressed and the building has its own security patrol now). We highly recommend the Motif to anyone looking for a great building in the most convenient and desirable location in Flagler Village, the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Unfortunate management company for a beautiful apartment. Amenities are poorly cared for. The fire pits are rarely useable, the gym occasionally has cleaning wipes, and the shared mail room is a nightmare. Not to mention, for the pretty penny you pay in rent, you now have to pay for parking for any and all guests. This was changed 1 year into our lease. We lived here for 2 years and the best thing we did was leave. The management company, the third one in 2 years, were rude and unhelpful. If you can find another place, especially with the new construction, I would suggest looking around for the price and area.
