Amazing! The pizza has great crust, great to cook in any type of oven, and is amazing in taste. The cheese is the best flavor to get! Extremely recommended. New favorite pizza!

Let me first start off by saying that I order from this place all the time. I LOVE their food and service. So this review does not reflect the food quality or overall restaurant quality. However, today I decided to use the new app, SLICE.it’s literally just a delivery app full of pizza places. No most of these places have separate drivers for standalone companies like Uber and DoorDash and all of the above, so of course I assumed that SLICE would also have their own? Anyway, I got a promo code today for a free pizza since it’s my first order on the app and I chose motor city. The pizza was about $18 or $19 and I think I paid basically $8 with the promotion. The tip accidentally got put to $. 50 and I thought maybe for some reason I could adjust it after the delivery like for most of these apps. But either way, I had some cash to give him, the driver. He pulls up about 10 minutes later, the app doesn’t even tell me he’s on his way and a motor city employee pops out of the car with my food. The first thing he does is comment about how apparently everybody’s giving away free pizza because clearly he saw that I paid next to nothing for my food. As if it came out of his pocket. THEN he decided to look at the receipt and complain about my “tip”. How $. 50 isn’t even gonna get him out of my driveway. So then I had to awkwardly explain that I messed up on the app and that I had some cash for him, but since when is it OK for delivery drivers to actually COMPLAIN to customers about a tip? I understand it probably concerned him to see $. 50 but there’s definitely a nicer way to bring up your concern. I love this pizza place and I won’t stop ordering from here because they have amazing food but I’m really not happy with this experience from a disgruntled employee.

Pizza maker not wearing mask. Counter help not wearing masks. When I confront the manager he said Corona is over and I don't have to come here if I don't like it. Stay safe My friends.

Great pizza and interesting atmosphere. I learned a metric cheese ton about Detroit just stepping through the doors. Good ol' pizza boy vibe. Plus good neighbors.

This restaurant provides great service as well as enjoyable food. My favourite place in the city. The drinks and food came out fast and the prices are affordable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had a awesome experience in this place with my girlfriend. The food comes quick and the service is just good. Prices are fair.

This place has impressed me from the beginning and has continued to do so, every time. I started off with a deep dish cheese pizza while my girlfriend got the meatball parm-hold the cheese. She fell in love, immediately. I waited until I had finished the pie to chime in with my own adulations. We had been hearing good things about this place for a while and everything that we had heard was true. Fast, friendly service and excellent food. I'm originally from central Illinois, so I grew up eating Godfather's Pizza in the '70s and heard about the whole Chicago vs Detroit deep dish "war". As far as I'm concerned, Motor City beats out my memory of Godfather's like it was no contest. I've tried several of their deep dish pizzas, the onion rings and motz sticks. Delicious! Going back for another pizza, onion rings and their fried ravioli, tonight!

I ordered zucchini fries and Chicken Piccata. They called me to say they only had breaded chicken. He asked what else so I got Shrimp Scampi it came with popcorn shrimp maybe 8. I didn't get garlic rolls, I got pita bread. Never again

They're my favorite pizza joint because in addition to hometown pizza, they do Coney dogs, Coney burgers, and chili fries.

While the atmosphere and the service aren't the best, the stromboli here is actually very impressive for the price. Don't buy a large unless you're feeding an army, the small was enough for 3 meals!

Their special salad (something about "Detroit's Own") was just a pile of lettuce with some meat on top.

Their fried cheesecake & wings are good, burgers & sandwiches are good- but they keep messing up my pizza orders. Like insanely badly. Like. 3x.

Had company and ordered a large "MEATY" pie $27.00. It was so salty most of it got thrown out. Have had regular pies and they were great. Would not recommend the MEATY PIE

High quality ingreediants, good amounts and even a little extra cheese and bacon seems to be their formula for success.

Authentic, worth the price. More than pizza, this is a real taste of Detroit. Nice decor, nice people, good food. Frequent customer.

If you're from the D, it's fun to see all the memorabilia. Food is ok. Sometimes great sometimes not quits there. We still enjoy it when we are in the area.

We were in that area working it was 3 of us but we did not get to eat there because we was black.we place our order and four other people came in about 15minutes after us and got food before us so when we saw this we got to hell out of there it don't take 35 minutes for a hamburger that's my motor city encounter 0 stars

Delicious! Awesome Detroit atmosphere and food that is going to be close as it gets down here to Coney island or Detroit style pizza.

Their deep dish pizza is outstanding! Nice and crispy on the edges. I tried the magerita and it was pretty good. The two of us got a large and had plenty of leftovers. It even tastes good cold the next day.

Amazing pizza and wings. The wings were so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their fried cheese cake was delicious too. It was my first time trying it and I couldn't be more happy with my food. Very attentive to my wife's tomato allergy as well and offered tasty ricotta and garlic to replace the tomato sauce. A bit pricier but very worth it!
