Mount Dora Modern Dentistry, Mt Dora FL

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I asked them not to do any work on me that my insurance wouldn’t cover and they did anyways. Now I have to pay $1114 which I can’t so it went to a collection agency.

The care is decent the billing, administration is a 0/5. This place has no clue how to electronically submit a DHMO Claim. Even if you are in network avoid this place at all costs if you have an HMO plan vs a PPO plan. I am in network and owed a substantial reimbursement. In my many attempts to resolve this it was recently discovered that the claim had been submitted improperly with the wrong Payor ID after many previous attempts to get them to submit it. My plan type does not allow me to mail in or fax my own claim believe me I have tried. If you want to pay huge costs out of pocket and have screw ups like I did by all means choose this Office.

Had a new patient appointment and it took over 2 hours. My appointment was scheduled for 10: 00 a.m. And didn't get called back until 10: 25. X-rays went smoothly and then I sat in the exam room for an additional 15 minutes before seeing the dentist. Then waited for another 15 minutes before the dental hygienist came in for my cleaning. The dentist and staff were pleasant but feel that the appointment should not have Taken 2 hours

I want to thank Dr. Le for being so kind and welcoming! I have high amounts of anxiety going to the dentist and he made everything so much better! He explained everything with details for my understanding and I couldn’t thank him enough. I would recommend this dentist to anyone!

My husband and I have been going to MDMD for about 3 years now! It’s always great service! The office is very considerate and helpful. Dr. Le and his staff are awesome, down-to-earth, and cares about your health. They’ve found long term patients with us!

Just my phone experience makes me want to avoid this place. The man behind the phone put me on hold for 20 minutes. The girl that picked up didn’t even offer to run my insurance to give me a ball park of what would be my charges with my insurance.

Also, the patient knows what they want 9/10. Don’t tell a patient that it’s up to the dentist. These places only want to go the expensive route.

Pull the tooth of the patient wants it pulled and stop trying to draw money from us. Our president does that enough.

I wouldn’t trust this place with my worst enemy. I’ll drive 50 minutes to my old dentist before I come here.

I cannot thank Dr. Cruz for her selflessness over the weekend. She performed a surgery on 4 of my top teeth at one time last Thursday and by Saturday I was in an extreme amount of pain with a knot under my left eye. Dr, Cruz gave me her cell number in case of an emergency and I contacted her about the pain I was experiencing. Dr. Cruz generously gave up time from her son's birthday party where she had family visiting, to not only send in prescriptions to 1 pharmacy, but 2 because the one she sent it to prior was not open. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and she made sure to prescibe me meds that were safe for my baby. She's a very caring, selflessness individual who goes out of her way for her patients. I can't thank her enough. Dr. Chan is also an amazing doctor, I know he would have done the same for me if I had contacted him. Highly recommend Dr. Chan for dental needs and Dr. Cruz as a surgeon.

Liked Dr. Li and the whole staff. Great office. Great attitude. Made sure I understood everything. Friendly and professional.

Scam, don’t come they going to tell you they need to do procedures that you don’t need just to charge the insurance. Called and spoke to manager and basically was told there was nothing they can do. Only give you options that insurance does not cover. & only thing they write back to review is call and they still don’t do nothing. And been to the dentist my entire life never been through this.

Best dentist I’ve ever been to. Everyone is very friendly and takes the time to explain everything.

I also liked the office. They have rooms with one chair. I have been to offices in the past where it is one open room for all of the chairs.

10/10 would recommend.

2 more customers lost (oops-“patients”-sorry, the dentist corrected me). $25 charged up front and you think it’s for visit co-pay, but it’s for fluoride they don’t even tell you about.
Told dentist I wanted estimate for crown. Ok. He went on to insist I have deep cleaning. I asked for regular cleaning. My wife had the same treatment and went somewhere else where it was determined she did not need the deep cleaning. He refused and told me I can go somewhere else that subscribes to that philosophy, and showed me out (even though I told him I needed an estimate for crown, but I never saw the estimate). Sorry I am no longer welcome here, as I did like these people, but they are up-sellers. Be aware.

I had a tooth extracted yesterday. Dr. Le was wonderful. The extraction was totally painless from start to finish. The office staff was very helpful getting me in to get the extraction the same day I walked into the office. They saved me a lot of pain.

They scheduled an appointment at 8 am and they actually open at 9 what a great customer service! Nobody answered the phone either.

Dr. Lee and Bianca are amazing. I alway have great service from check ups, to cleanings, to the customer service when I come here! Thank you for making my experience a positive one!

This office has helped me with my dental anxiety they are so calm and collected and worked with me through my visit as a nervous wreck, I needed a lot of work done and they had options to help me afford my treatment, I appreciate the staff there so much from the front desk, to the dental assistants to the doctors and lastly the hygienist. They are phenomenal, great service, clean office and very knowledgeable and I will no longer be doing my dental service no where else. I highly recommend this office.

Felt a lot of pressure to buy extra services. Did not floss my teeth as part of my cleaning and no new toothbrush. Instead of feeling relaxed, I felt pressured.

I came to this practice after having a terrifying experience with a previous dentist who talked me into getting implants that failed. The team took great care of me here. Dr. Li made me feel very comfortable as well as Carlos the office manager. He was very empathic of my situation and worked out a payment plan with me that was very reasonable.
Dr. Zulema removed my failed implants the same day I met with her and made sure I understood the procedure and my future expectations. I believe Logan was her assistant and he was very sweet and caring about my pain. I was very impressed with the entire experience and I have already referred family here:)

Very unsatisfied customer. I’ve had to call my insurance company several times to have them dispute charges for services either not authorized or not explained to customer in details at time of services. They also attempt to charge you for services that were not provided. To charge someone $95 dollars for recommending an electrical toothbrush is a rip off. You may want to ask questions, ask what is being billed to your insurance company, and know what your services are covered by your insurance before going here. Very unprofessional!

Great practice. Dentists are really good and super helpful. Hygienists are really good as well. Super nice front office staff and are really transparent with costs and breakdown of billing.
