Plus a " To go room" to die for. Been going since they opened in the Mall, it just gets better and better with the additions of Dunderbrau house brews

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Went tonight and was happy to see it hopping. Despite how busy it was, our food came out lightning fast and it was GOOD. I also like how you can see the owner working there among everything else. Great food, great atmosphere, great place to eat!

Love coming here to itch my German craving. Serving large portions and a good happy hour menu. The food is delicious and they had a cute little country store feel around the periphery. It really captures the German vibes here.

When you can't bring Germany to you now, Germany can come to you here. Get a genuine feel of a bit of what it is like there with food, drink, music and most importantly a festive atmosphere.

Delicious food and an amazing beer selection focusing on German styles but every other style of beer you'd want as well. Their own brewed beer is a must try though!

My friends and I love going here. Even though non of us live nearby a more, we try to make time every so often to stop by and get some good food and drink. We are absolutely addicted to the Von Bomb sandwiches.

Fun place, friendly people, good food. Exciting atmosphere during October. We had a big group and they did a great job accommodating us.

The environment, the music, and the feel of the place is authentic German. The food was fresh and delicious! A new favorite!

Went for my son's birthday and wow we had a great experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all five stars. We will be back again.

Apps were great, but came out 15 min apart a big basket of fried green beans, and warm seasoned pork rinds which we dipped in the cheese beer soup. Food was ok, I had the Sour Cream Schnitzel with awesome German potato salad and homemade Pomme Frittes (could have used seasoning and a dip). My biggest beef was the indoor crowds and the seating. The hard wood benches made for a big discussion about bringing cushions next time or even a stadium seat for some back support. This is Florida, Delta is on the rise, there was outdoor seating but no shade so vacant. And indoor seating was packed. We called it the Covid Den.

Authentic German European dishes. Friendly helpful staff, one of a kind experience in Tampa Bay. Come hungry and ready to explore dishes and beers you've never had before. Stop by the deli and explore their many items for purchase from Germany.

Super clean, wonderful staff, amazing authentic food. Price is very reasonable for the quality of food served. Definitely be back.

This is literally the Best of the best place in Tampa area feeling just like in Germany!

This was mine and my dad's first visit here. We were both loving the atmosphere Mr. Dunderbak Biergarten provided. My dad order the Jagerschnitzel (veal) w/ Pommefritz and potato salad and I ordered the Der Rueben. We were both very, very pleased with our selections. Ruebens are my favorite thing to eat and this was by far one of my favorite ones I've had in a long time. The potato salad was different from what I know and was kind of thrown off by it, but enjoyed it none the less. The server, Will, was really cool and laid back. He was prompt with taking our food order, providing the drinks, and checking in on us throughout our visit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves German food and beer. Thank you for the experience, we will for sure be coming back in the near future.

Sausages are the best to try for German food experience. The freshly brewed beer collection is great.

Started with the sample collection beer which helps you decide on the one you like.we got a refill for the flavor we liked from the sample.

In our opinion, this is the best German restaurant in North Tampa. Very authentic in looks and menu. This restaurant is good for lunch and dinner and is usual busy for both times. But the wait is always worth it and the wait staff are very polite. They actually craft their own beer, but they also have a huge variety of imported beer brands on tap and in bottles. Although, the wait staff are there to help with samples. If you like authentic German food, in a really cool German atmosphere don't pass this restaurant up.

Dunderbaks is an institution for a reason around USF. Been going here off and on for a decade now and I never leave disappointed. Good is great, atmosphere is fun and service is always fast.

Have been coming here for the last several years and have never been disappointed. It’s always busy but for good reason. They have a great beer selection (drinks you won’t find anywhere else) and something about the atmosphere makes you forget you’re in Tampa and not Germany (or at least EPCOT). For food (and as a person of Polish descent) I would definitely recommend the pierogis as they are delicious. If you don’t know what beer to order don’t worry, the staff is always friendly and super knowledgeable so they can make recommendations.

Biergarten - Supreme! Mr. Dunderbak, never disappoints, from beer to food options. They even have a small German grocery and deli on site.
