This South Florida field trip staple is still holding on, with some cute exhibits for kids of varying ages. Seems to lean mostly to the younger kid crowd, the toddler in our group had an absolute blast but I could see kids in elementary school and early middle school enjoying it too.

The two stories feature exhibits about a bunch of things including a play area for the younger ones, some fish tanks of wildlife, a heavily branded broward health sponsored section about the human body upstairs, an aviation themed area, and what looks like a mars explorer ride for the older kids.

Some of the exhibits are definitely a bit older, but others have been updated. The museum was clean and it was great to see the iconic clock up front still working.

Parking is downtown Fort Lauderdale so prepare to pay to park in a garage or lot nearby.

We bought the year passes and definitely got our moneys worth. There are many interactive areas for the kids to enjoy. The imax is large and feels real. There is a really nice baby/toddler friendly area with colorful balls. There is a cool outdoor area with more science exhibits. Even the adults were kept interested. The staff are really friendly and nice and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend.

Would be a 5 star museum except that in the toddler area they make you remove very little babies from strollers so you need to hold them the whole time. Expect to to a lot of baby holding

Probably the best place for kids on any rainy day. Excellent staff, very cool interactive exhibits and great wildlife. They also change up the exhibits pretty frequently!

I have the annual membership and I love bringing my kid here. They change the main display every few months so there's always something new.

Amazing displays, beautiful architecture, interactive activities for kids, and shops have interesting and relevant items. I will go with every friend who comes to visit.

My grandson had a great time. Park in the Government parking lot 3 Blocks away, much cheaper. $3.00 first two hours then $1.00 additional hours. A lot of the attractions are broken. The first level is pretty much a play area for young children to run wild. Upstairs is for older children to explore. The entry fee is a little high if you are bringing 2 or more children with you. The prices in the IMAX theater for snacks was absolutely ridiculous. A VERY expensive day!

A fantastic interactive to go with the kids. Tickets are $27 for adults and $22 for kids above the age of 2. Do get your reservation for the discovery spot. They get sold out and kids love this interactive area. You will also see alligators, turtles, python, fish and oters. They have two simulator on the second floor a toy ride and rover recommend both. In addition they run movies in their IMAX.

A lot of fun for the whole family. Clean establishment and friendly workers. Plenty to do and see here.

My 9 year old had fun with the aviation exhibit. He even got a private science demonstration.

I'd give this place a 5 star review if more of the exhibits were working. I'd estimate that 20-30% of the exhibits were either out of service, missing parts, not fully functioning (lights burnt out etc) or damaged. For the price we paid, I was a little disappointed.

Fun family entertainment! Got my parents an annual pass so they can take my daughter during the week. The special exhibits are nice and interactive. Great place for kids of all ages!

I really like to bring my kid here. It's is really fascinating for us to see the animal (fish, reptiles, otters and more). They always have some good exhibition on display that teach the kids about nature and engineering stuff. The play area is big and filled with activities.

Great place for kids. Get there early so you can do everything without fighting with the crowds. Also good to get there early so you don't get too hot in the outside area.

A lot of the exhibits have seen better days, but a good place to take kids that are interested in sciences. Very good for the price and I hope this museum keeps running for many years, but the animals look to be well taken care of and the staff were very friendly.

I started visiting MODS almost 30 years ago, going every few years. I was there yesterday (it had been about 6 years since I'd last gone), and while we had fun it was also so disappointing to see how obviously run down it's gotten. Sooo many of the 2nd floor interactive exhibits were broken, the downstairs aquatic tanks need some serious cleaning, even the main attraction, that huge clock thingy you see in the outside patio area wasn't on, we were looking forward to that alone too, so sad. The Everglades ride didn't seem to be running and no one knew anything about it. How come your employees can't answer basic questions like that? For a science museum this size you need to do better. I was shocked at the condition of the museum since I have seen it in its glory days. The IMAX was good, but I suspect that if it wasn't for the IMAX part, this museum would fail if not updated or kept up. I recommend coming up with a whole new concept for the 2nd floor, since everything is broken anyway, just start from scratch. They do have some fun play areas for toddlers, not sure if worth the full price of admission however.

This is a magic place for creating love for science to your children. Tons of fun for them and you.
