Mussel Beach reviews
16We arrived at mid afternoon on a Wednesday and they weren’t very busy and our service by Joe was great. We ordered 2 different mussel dishes and weren’t disappointed. They were fantastic. One was in an onion type soup and the other with some baby scallops. My wife and I shared both and couldn’t decide which was better. This place is a must if you like mussels
The food was great and the presentation was very nice. We stopped in for some chowder, had a wonderful meal would recommend it to anyone! Sorry I forgot to take photo of Stuffed shrimp, it was AMAZING!
Had the Clambake. It was fantastic. Finding a Clambake that is similar to what you find in New England is hard to find. This meal didn't disappoint.
Our waitress Rhea was great. Highly recommend it, we will go back.
The first impressions were that the staff was super friendly and inviting. The food was good as well as the drinks.
The nicest time at Mussel Beach! Had the best, freshest Caesar Salad! So delish! Great service by Joe, so friendly and nice. I was solo, but had the greatest time!
I went to this restaurant with my mom and we had a delightful experience. I had the crab cake and it was to die for! Mom had octopus and it was delicious. Customer service was outstanding! We felt like we were right by the beach. I recommend this restaurant and I will be coming back.
Mussel Beach is an outstanding restaurant that left a positive lasting impression. I highly recommend. Food is exceptional, along with the service and vibe.
Great experience. Delicious food and good service. The owner is a very nice guy as well. Highly recommended.
I have been to this place twice in one week, and I got to say the food is absolutely amazing!
I didn’t realize the difference in seafood when you eat it at a seafood restaurant or just a regular restaurant. Everything we ordered was fresh and the flavor was perfect. From the seafood tower, soups, ahi tuna and fried scallops, everything was amazing! And the service was on point.
Plus, the prices are about half the price of other restaurants.
I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a really good seafood.
Looked for a seafood restaurant in Delray and found this spot. My friend wasn't very hungry and opted for the French Onion Soup. I had to have the mussels but with so many choices I asked the server for my choice between Curry or Italian. The curry was recommended.
The soup was dripping with cheese and multiple croutons. I think there may have been too much bread for my friend as she left most of it.
The mussels were served in a large copper pot brimming with the black shells and two thick slices of bread. The sauce was at the bottom of the pot so I had to dig out an opening to be able to dip each delectable morsel into the tasty curry sauce.
Left feeling very full. Will be back to try more of the mussel dishes!
Did you know that a pound of mussels has almost 60 grams of protein?
Love their tuna sandwich. Served rare with a nice Wasabi slaw.
I get the spinach on the side
Best mussels in town! If you are by Delray Beach area visit this place! Service is excellent too!
It was my first time at Mussel Beach and as I walked in I got greeted by a lovely gentleman who ended up being my server. The restaurant was slow at this point so he let me pick my table. I ordered their tuna appetizer and if I’m going to be honest I wasn’t too impressed with the tuna. I’m a huge seafood person so I do become picky when ordering likes food at new places. After the appetizer I ordered their raw oysters. Unfortunately they didn’t have their original blue oysters so they gave me their alternative and gave me an extra oyster for the inconvenience. The oysters were fine however very very small. They were very low staffed that day so my server did a fantastic job taking care of everyone there during lunch. Overall it’s a great place and I’m sure with a full staff and all menu items available it would make this place even better.
For first time visit, everything was amazing, environment, service and food. Highly recommend it.
Read one review that nearly made me go somewhere else.
It is not in a strip mall. It is on the corner with parking on the side of the building.
So glad we didn’t.
The atmosphere was relaxing and a bit nautical.
The service was fantastic.
We got there just in time to order a happy hour fried calamari and fried banana peppers. It came with
Aioli and a tomato based sauce.
The calamari was ok. The peppers were thin and well cooked. The aioli was good.
A complimentary truffle fries was a delicious surprise so crisp and well seasoned.
I had the clam chowder which was creamy and flavorful. Lots of clams.
I shared a bit of my husband gigantic
Seafood linguini which had so many mussels, clams, squid, rather small bay scallops, good sized shrimp. The sauce was amazing a creamy tomato saffron broth.
The photo of the dish is missing a few bay scallops and some linguine which I enjoyed. Bread would have been perfect to enjoy with the broth.
It was a delicious and unrushed meal.
Wonderful service by the
bartender/server I believe her name was Cheryl.
