This office is absolutely amazing they care about their patients in their fiduciary responsibilities in the community. Maria is Extremely ethical and an outstanding person thank you guys for everything that you do.

The Optometrist is AMAZING, he explained everything and was very supportive. The location is very accessible, the inventory of frames and the pricing is great, and the STAFF is absolutely FABULOUS! The BEST!
So grateful for their services and they are and will continue to be “MY EYE DOCTOR”!

Sadly, this place does NOT have it together. Both my husband and I had a good experiences with the doctors but the rest of this place is a nightmare Unfortunately, for my husband, 1st pair of glasses came in wrong. Second pair ordered, and almost 2 months waiting and nothing. No return calls when we would call to check on them. I went in twice and last time I believe I was told a lie as Maria said she called the lab and they were to be in exactly a week later. Come to find out, they were never ordered per another employee. (His name maybe CB but not sure.) He said it was a mess and it was their fault. We ended up getting a refund and going elsewhere. In the interim of waiting for the return of my husband’s 1st pair, husband’s friend went in and he also had a horrible experience. Doctors are decent but rest of the staff is awful.

Update: As you can see, someone responded to our review asking for us to reach out to them. We tried but it constantly says invalid email address. Plus, they HAVE all of our contact information so if they truly wanted to correct their errors, they could have easily contacted us. This response was just to make it appear to whoever reads this as they were trying to get to the bottom of this ridiculous situation but in our opinion, they really are not.

This is my first time here for an eye exam and for contact fitting. The staff here are the best of the best. Everyone is pleasant, friendly, helpful, and patient. Dr. Gerald is amazing, very thorough which I truly appreciate. I highly recommend everyone to come to MyEyeDr.

It’s our second time here at this location I bring my son the doctors are very nice and professional. They make my son’s glasses there too. We will continue to come to this location.

If i could give this place a negative comment i would. This location 13170 Atlantic Blvd Suite 53, Jacksonville, FL 32225 is the worse. The customer service and accountability is horrible. They broke my Prada frames. Said i had the option to get new frames and when i called back to confirm they rep on the phone forget to disconnect the line and had a lot of unprofessional things to say. Mind you there vendor broke my frames and they offered me a frame pf my choice. After i heard his displeasure i asked for a refund. They said no but did agree to getting a new frame. Okay they get ordered, the manager said she would call me when they was ready. We are now going on a month. I call today and they mailed my frames out. I didn't know they was ready since no one informed me. Ive updated all my files since this was my first time at this location and now they saying it was never done and they mailed them to address i havent lived for 4 years
. I go to the eye doctor yearly so i know my file is updated. Stay away from this location.

This has to be the worst place to get glasses. The communication is horrible, promises made and not kept, was lied to, I was told there was issues with my insure causing the delay, after talking with the insurance company they stated there were no issues that they seen regarding the glasses. I was told I would receive a call from the office manager. No call ever came to me. If you can go someplace else for glasses, I would do that at all costs. The complaint has been filed with the BBB, and I have also filed a complaint to have this place removed as a provider as they are horrible.

Update: After another call to my vision insurance, they inform me that myeyedr just submitted the claim on 2-9, a month after I was in getting my exam and glasses. My vision insurance has reached out to myeyedr for an explanation and stated that this practice is unacceptable.

This is the second review that I have written for this business.
I went in with my reasonably new glasses, and asked that my glasses would be adjusted. The gentleman seemed gracious and knowledgable.
A few days later, I went in and politely explained my situation. A rude Asian woman told me it was my problem, there was no way I could prove that they broke the glasses. I wrote this same review on YELP, and received a gushy apology. Would I please send an email, and they would gladly take care of the situation. Two weeks later.

Today, I walked out of myeyedr on Atlantic Blvd, with complimentary replacement frames. Alexis, a kind young lady that works at patient relations, reached out to me. She even chased me down, because my initial information was incorrect. So, thank you Alexis.

I made an appointment online hoping they would have a last-minute opening and thankfully they did. I checked if they accepted my insurance, they did! However, when I was entering my info online for the “pre-appointment check in” it would not let me put in my insurance info. After battling that for awhile, I figured I’d click “no insurance” and take care of it before my actual appointment. Flash forward to today, the day of the appointment, and I woke up to a missed call from MyEyeDr - they left no voicemail. I attempted to call them back only 15-20 minutes later, stayed on for two minutes for the line to just continuously ring and have no one answer it (it went to voicemail). I figured since no voicemail was left for me, they were just calling and confirming my appointment. When I actually get there, I’m told that they were calling me about my insurance, I explained how it wouldn’t let me enter the info online, but that I had the physical card with me. Well, that seemed to be a big deal because I was then told that since my insurance “couldn’t be entered in time” they’d have to reschedule me, and that *I* would have to personally call the numbers listed on the back of my insurance card to see what they “will and will not cover” (what? !?). I then ask if I could just give her the insurance info to put in and she told me that no, she wouldn’t be able to do that until I call them on my own time, etc.and that I wouldn’t be able to be seen today because of that since “the doctor is very, very busy. ” After that, I took my cards/info back and ended up canceling the appointment altogether.

Target’s vision center was wonderful to work with instead, taking my insurance info on the phone and finishing at the office (the doctor was also, very very busy, but still had time for me to make sure my information was all correct!)

I love the technician and eye Dr at this location! My son and I have been coming here for years. The original eyewear consultant that sold my son his glasses CB was Amazing. So helpful. Unfortunately today I went to pick up his glasses and the "consultant" Kaci tried to dispense to my son. During the process she broke the frame and tried to pass off the used frame off the floor as a new frame. Lucky I saw her get the frame from the sales floor and inspected the frame She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to get CB to help me and order my son a another new frame. I don't fault myeyedr but Kaci definitely needs more training and people skills.

They are ok when giving eye exam and taking your money but terrible for delivering your new glasses in a timely manner. They will lie to you about getting them when you need them. I ordered 2 pairs and only received 1. I needed my new sunglasses for my vacation but after promising me they would be here before I leave now they tell me they will not be here on time. 19 days is too long to wait for a new lens. POOR customer service. There are many better places to get new glasses from.

DO NOT BOOK APPOINTMENT ONLINE

(this review is just about my poor experience booking-haven't had actual appointment yet)

Went on their website to schedule appointment online. It listed 2 available appointments for the next day so I booked 1 of them because it fit perfectly for my schedule. First thing next morning while I am in the middle of completing the online check in paperwork through their patient portal they call me and say that since I didn't confirm my appointment they canceled it and I would need to reschedule. I said I booked yesterday afternoon and was doing the paperwork now so that didn't make sense since there was no confirmation call etc. The girl said oh you booked yesterday? Well that time wasn't actually available someone already booked it so I need to reschedule. I was like your system booked me saying it's available you need to honor it. She said we have no control over that system I need to reschedule. I'm like it's your system! After going back and forth I was given no option but to reschedule for a week later. (Even though since it was their fault they should have worked me in and dealt with the double booking). I then asked to verify that the special listed on their site is good and she said no it expired yesterday. When I told her it's still on the site with no expiration date she said oh yeah it's still valid. She told me I would receive a call a few days before my appointment to confirm and I need to make sure I answer it or I will be canceled again and go back into overflow. When she stated I need to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork I asked about their online patient portal check in being valid a since I was in the middle of completing it and she said she could email me the forms. I have no idea if the check in will be done when I get in because they don't seem to really accept anything done online even though it's THEIR OWN SYSTEM.

Fingers crossed the actual appointment will go well and this was just they don't know how to reconcile online bookings and properly handle customer service when they screw up.
