Mystic Nails & Spa, Plant City FL

I went in one other time and was very pleased with my service. However, today I went in for a mani/pedi and this is what happened. Pedi first: I asked for flesh colored polish and was told that that wasn't a good idea because no one could see it and then told if I wanted it I should ask for chrome which would make the flesh color show up better. It's only $10 more. I asked for a basic pedicure but was told I had to dry feet and basic wouldn't cover the foot file to remove the dry skin so I should go with the deluxe. It's only $10 more. She then proceeded to dig down into the side of my left big toe (what she was looking for I have no idea) until I jerked my foot away. She apologized and moved on. However a little while later she went back to digging in the same spot until I again jerked my foot back and asked her what she was looking at? She said there was "paint" down there. In the beginning I wanted the flesh color because I wanted my finger nails that color as well but she excitedly recommended ombre so I agreed. We agreed to change the color of my toe nails to white because they would have matched the ombre better. White with chrome. However when we started my finger nails, she couldn't do ombre unless we put on a "new full set. " I was not interested. So she starts painting my nail in the flesh color. Now I have flesh colored finger nails with white toe nails. She did add the little flowers I wanted but then she decided to add silver lines which I didn't ask for. It's not awful but it's not what I wanted. Walking out, she upsold me all the way up to $125.00 and asked if I was giving a tip for a mani-pedi and talked me up the whole time about the full set next time so I can have the ombre. There will be no next time for me at Mystic Nails. Her name is Lanny so should you decide to go there, be careful or be stern.

They charge what they want never the same price from one week to the next they do really good work but c/s awful

I have been going to the nail salon for over five years I make the commute from Riverview to Plant City to see them. I normally see Nick unfortunately, he was out of town. The owner told me her cousin would be doing my nails who moved here from Alaska. I got a fill, and my color does not match. My nails are lumpy and uneven and I already showing cracks from where she did not apply the gel properly. I addressed this with the owner who told me they would fix it next time. Unfortunately, I have pictures with my daughter on Saturday and will have to pay someone else additional money to have these nails taken off.

In these times everyone wants to get easy money, I went to get a pedicure and terrible, 50 dollars and I left with my feet full of cuticles, and terrible pain from some extra strong massages, I will never go back And I don't recommend it to anyone.

Very bad experience and faced racism, they even ask for tips forcefully and will behave rudely if you refuse. Will never go back and will certainly not recommend anyone here be careful!

Owner and others are not so kind, felt like I was treated differently than Caucasian customers coming in. Have started going to another salon after years of coming here

My first time getting a pedicure with Nick and let me tell you! He is AMAZING, I’ve been looking around for the perfect person to do my pedi and I finally found it today! Thank you Nick.

Get a pedicure as often as possible.
The ones that speak English will tell you what the others are saying so you don't get that feeling.lol.

People are nice here but more expensive than some other salons. They're all too high to me!
