I went in Sunday during the cars and coffee event. There was a line of about 20 people. After waiting a significant amount of time for a drink, they said they were out of the tea to make it. We then ordered a different drink and a hot chocolate. Both drinks were mostly milk, served WARM. All around very unpleasant experience. After reading several reviews, it appears that this establishment often is out of what they have on their menu. They should at least have stickers or notes with the menus to show that they are out of stock of items. Poor management.

I absolutely love the Narrative Cafe! This is one of my favorite places to go to. The decor creates a cozy and inviting vibe, making it my favorite hangout place. However, every time I'm here, I find that the Chai tea is a bit watered down; it could use some improvement. Overall, it's a great place i'd recommend.

Ive never waited longer than 5 minutes for a coffee until I went to this place. It wasn't even busy, but I still waited 15 minutes until I just left with no drink because I had to get back to work.

Nice area to meet for casual or business. Pleasant employees and were quick to assist in wiping the outside tables for me.

I honestly think this is the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Even the army has better coffee.
You have to really work to make coffee this bad. Like apply yourself have a board of experts on how to wreck coffee. This coffee should only be served in Guantanamo bay Cuba to the guys in the cages there.

I had the pleasure of drinking coffee at Narrative Coffee Roasters for the first time, and I tried the Teddy Graham. The coffee was an unforgettable experience. The cold foam was exceptionally rich and velvety, making each sip a pure delight. This coffee raised the bar so high that it's clear how overpriced some chain alternatives like Starbucks or Dunkin' can be. If they charged $10 for this heavenly brew, I'd gladly shell out the cash.

Love, love, love Narrative Coffee! By far our favorite coffee. Top tier quality, great staff, delicious and innovative seasonal drinks, and let me tell you the foam on top of the coffee is the best part. Thank you Narrative for not just providing basic coffee filled with tons of sugar.

Love Narrative! The espresso is delicious, the atmosphere is bright and beautiful, and the staff is friendly. It's always worth the drive to me.

Also, the Chocolate Orange Twist summer specialty drink was so creative and delicious!

Great place to have a morning drink! We had the Lavender Honey Latte and it was some of the best coffee we had in Naples! Love the atmosphere and the location!

Like the previous coffee shop before it (Second Cup Coffee), I’ve noticed Narrative Coffee take an unexpected/unfortunate decline in numerous categories within the past year.

Before I get into this review I would like to state ever since it’s grand opening, I have been a huge advocate, fan and supporter of Narrative Coffee. I would like nothing more than to continue being these things, however if Narrative continues on its current path, I fear they will lose their fan base ultimately leading to its demise like it’s predecessor.

Narrative Coffee has been a huge staple in my life. I would come here to conduct my academic studies, unwind with friends and go on dates with my girlfriend, all while enjoying their delicious specialty coffees, modern decor and cleanly atmosphere. Some of my favorite things about Narrative was the staff which I believed did a fantastic job at establishing real connections with their guests all while taking pride In their barista skills.

I’ll start my review on the staff members (this is targeted at the majority of staff I have encountered and it does not include the very few kind employees I have dealt with). I find the quality of staff members currently working at narrative appearing unmotivated and lacking in personal skills. I’ll even go as far to say some of the staff have presented me with brief/rude behavior including some major sass and attitude.

Moving on I’ll mention quality control. I used to go into narrative knowing my specialty lattes would be constructed as advertised. Now, I go in and find myself glancing over at the baristas to ensure all the proper garnishes have been added. Sometimes my drink comes with a hearty serving of delicious cold foam and other times I’m lucky if the top is half filled with it. Maybe my drink will have sprinkles or maybe it won’t. Will my latte come deliciously sweet or horribly bitter? It all depends on the day now.

Next is the cleanliness. I used to find Narrative to be in a constant state of being clean. Whether I walked into a clean building/bathroom or walked I into staff actively cleaning it. Now, I just find the store to be in a constant state of dirty. Stains on the couches/chairs, garbage/crumbs on the floor and an over all unsatisfactory bathroom (just a few photos taken from one of my visits posted). It’s important for management to know Narrative is housed in one of the more prestigious areas of Naples and should be upheld to fairly high standards considering it’s clientele. The store must be well maintained.

Finally, I’ll end with the specialty drinks. Within the last year the specialty drinks/flavors have been getting more and more delayed from being released. If you state you have seasonal drinks being created, those drinks can’t be released at the end of said season. If the team is having trouble concocting the drinks then just inform your customers the seasonal drinks are being postponed. When it comes to the flavors of the specialty lattes, I would like the inventors of the drinks to keep it simple. Trying to re invent the wheel with some of these drinks is not enjoyable (I.e. Citrus infused with coffee).

I would like to end my “narrative” type review with re-stating that I do not wish for this company to fall victim of complacency just like the company that came before it. I would like it to return to a clean establishment filled with friendly staff who like their jobs and coffee that tastes delicious. I would like to find myself wanting to go to Narrative on my days off instead of going just to see if I will be irritated at what Narrative has become. I hope Narrative can pull themselves together before it is to late.

My boyfriend ordered the cappuccino and the overnight oats. The oats were ok, and looked good. However the cappuccino tasted like cat food and black coffee for some reason. At least it looked cute though. The chicken ceasar wrap was really good though!

Spot on in terms of what a coffee shop should be: great vibe, perfectly textured steamed milk (for cappuccino), great latte art, and of course excellent coffee. It’s also rare to find a coffee shop that makes ESPRESSO macchiato not some Starbucks macchiato. They also have a great selection of Cuban coffee: cafecito, cortadito, and café con leche. Can’t wait to make a cappuccino of my own with their freshly roasted beans. Highly recommend.

This coffee shop was super close to where I stayed in Naples, Fl visiting family, so it was my first stop. It was the first specialty coffee shop that showed up on my Google search, and I wasn’t disappointed. They’ve got great pastry and breakfast sandwich options, too. The only down side was that they’re a little hidden from where the navigation drops you off. If you felt turned around, like us, when maps told you where to park- don’t worry! The coffee shop is behind that store (Kilwins). Just walk to the large patio behind it as if you’re walking towards the green lawn, and it’ll be hidden by the big umbrellas. Other than being confused by where to go, their customer service was great and everyone enjoyed our pastries/breakfast so much- I didn’t even have time to photograph it.

Cold brew, and a egg bacon sandwich were excellent. I wish other coffee shops would do their sandwiches like this place does. Because they do it right, nice and grilled on a panini press. Lost points today on bathroom not being stocked. Found this out, during a "critical moment" of my visit in their restroom. Nuff said! Secondly, idk, people behind counter were less than friendly. At one point they were sharing a laugh, smiling, then when they look towards me, all mirth is gone. Like I was intruding on a clique. Perhaps a one-off. But the place has nice modern feel, with ample natural light from large windows, minimalist ceiling with exposed duct style that works quite good at creating an oasis of cool, and faint upbeat music drifting through the air. Feels like a coffee shop I worked at in Austin Texas. Overall I recommend. Might change this to four stars, if next visit they are friendlier.
