National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios reviews
13The main church and gift shop areas. There is convenient parking and a trolley stop in-front. Bring your bike rack/bike as well since there are many paths to enjoy.
Beautiful grounds, peaceful water views, inspiring monuments. The shrine has good AC…nice break from the heat:) 300’ cross is quite a site to see, too. Don’t miss the ‘miracle of the sun’ prayer room in the church!
Wonderful lesson in History, unfortunately we fail to learn and act on history in a positive manner.
I absolutely love this place. If you enjoy holy things, and environments this is the place to be.
Such a beautiful place for anyone to visit; the perfect spot to connect with your spiritual side and learn about important facts of the Catholic Church in Florida. The prayer garden is beautiful and very relaxing and the little shrine is amazing too. I attended daily mass there and the priest and community were incredible. Highly recommended.
We had some time to spare before we could get into our rental so we walked through here. So glad we did! It's beautiful, relaxing, and Sheila (a guide) was fabulously kind! Very memorable.
This is a beautiful place to visit. It has both historical and sacred significance, and wildlife abound. It's hard to find a better combination, and the price is right - free. Of course, a donation or a stop by the gift shop helps support the shrine, but no one will pressure you to do so.
Take a walk through the garden, with reflections on the life events shared by Christ and his mother. Contemplate Mary as the nurturer and nourisher of a newborn baby Jesus. Pray in a small reconstructed chapel. Consider the historical significance of one of the first Christian services in what is now the U. S.and the evangelical mission that followed.
If you have time, join for a weekday Mass. It is well-attended and lively.
Brought a person who enjoyed it very much. Lots of walking. Not a place for handicapped people. Would like to come back when weather is not raining.
This place is totally peaceful and beautiful, it's my favorite place to visit in St Augustine.
Beautiful church, had the signs of the cross, a gift shop, a huge cross (very big), a walkable Rosary, and they still have the original church (I think they said it was from 1500!) very beautiful.
The most espectacular place to visit in this gorgeous city! This temple is wonderful coming for the nature to the beuty of Virgen Mary.speechless totally amazing.
Nothing bad to say about this. This is a stunning shrine and display. A beautiful chapel. Well landscaped area. Beauty all around. Even if you identify with a different religion or not religious at all- this is a wonderful place. Located in Nombre de Dios Mission and has free parking.
America's Sacred Acre. Where history and religion reside together. Founder's Day is always a good experience.
