Park Nature Center reviews
17Didn't get to explore the entire park did to weather but I'm definitely going back. Beautiful park with great trails and views.
Good place to rent kayak or canoe. Staff is very friendly and informative. We had a good time with our group of 7 including 2 teenagers and two children.
$25 for single kayak rentals contrary to the info you may find online. Very low key spot that's well maintained. If you're looking for an outdoor adventure that can handle your coach potato abs and arms, this is the spot:)
Great price on kayack rentals. Very difficult ramp to get your self in and out if the kayack and the water. They yell at you for not carrying the kayacks to the water. They could easily charge a little more and have a young employee helping the customers move the kayacks and canoes around.
Walked the 3 trails and logged 3 miles. Sunny but still enough shade for a morning walk. The grounds are well kept. Easy parking. Restrooms also nice and clean. Next time will pack a picnic lunch for after my walk.
We did not rent Kayaks as we have our own, but the park is super nice and you can launch at the very nice launch facility there. The Park Ranger gave us a laminated map of the waterway and off we went! We kayaked for several hours and still did not explore all of the area. Definitely a must if you like being on the water.
Beautiful park! I just wish they had a beach or a kayak launch inline to the dock instead of a "T" configuration to launch from. It's tough to launch a heavy fishing kayak here. Nearly impossible by yourself.
Very nice park on at the top of Tampa Bay. It is hidden away in the back of a neighborhood hood. There are trails and boardwalks to enjoy. They also have kayak and canoe rentals right from the Nature Center.
I gave it 4 stars because the Nature Center is not open to the public yet, except for the restrooms.
Great paddling trails through the mangroves. The area is shallow and there are oyster beds in the area, so not the best location for SUPs, but great for kayaks and canoes.
They have a dedicated launch with rollers on a floating dock, which makes launching and recovering pretty easy.
We rented a two-person kayak and explored for a couple of hours. We enjoyed lunch on the kayak too. It was so beautiful - mangroves, fish and birds everywhere. We even spotted a manatee! It was so nice to be immersed in untouched natural Florida beauty so close to my house!
Loved it, really nice place for kayaking and the rental price is too low.best place and great experience
Was visiting down from NC, grew up in Port St. Lucie. By far the best kayaking experience I’ve had. Super chill, laid back vibes, makes you wanna take a nap drifting in the water. Staff was even better. Super helpful, understanding, and good-spirited. They even noticed we needed a hand carrying our kayaks, helped us, and then offered to wash them down and finish taking care of them. 11/10 and 6 stars.
The park is great and the canoe launch is great the nature center is not opened because of covid
Such a cool place for a kayak and hike. There is a cool interpretive center and plant of places for picnicking.
Love upper tampa bay park they just finished there remodeling so come check it out and check out the diamond back terapins
What a nice, quiet, peaceful kayak trip out to the Bay! I saw lots of wildlife. The employee was very kind and helpful. The center had some nice, informative displays as well.
Great place to take kids and get out into nature with very nice Park Rangers. The park was currently under construction to make it better. So we look forward to returning and checking out the new updates.
Going out with the canoes was a blast and very peaceful and great experience. The water is very shallow so it’s safe and makes you feel comfortable even with small children.
