Nellie's Deli Market & Catering reviews
14Recently stopped in and ordered a tuna fish sandwich on toasted sourdough. That is exactly what I got. No lettuce, no tomato, the bread wasn't cut in half. I wasn't asked any questions other than about the bread. This cost around $9. Very strange. Not sure if this is how tuna fish sandwiches are typically eaten.
I am so enjoying my breakfasts and so love that there is fruit i didn't even ask for, that is the best part.
This is a place I grew up going to. I am sad to say that it has changed a lot over the years. The food is still quality but the staff in the deli is rude and doesn't let you complete your sentences before she assumes what you are going to say. The deli also frequently doesn't have what they lost on the menu.
I'm new to town and found this place quite by accident today. Turned out to be a happy accident. Had the Reuben sandwich and it was fantastic.
I will be back to try more of the menu.
Nellie's catered our wedding! Not only was the food delicious but the service was outstanding. We hired them to do everything. They did the set up, they did the tare down, they made sure my new husband and I knew what was happening and when it was happening. Honestly I was worried and stressed about the wedding until I hired Nellies Terry set my mind at ease. The day of the wedding I had no worries at all. I spent time getting ready with my girls. I got to the ceremony to find it perfectly decorated, the tables were set just as we discussed for dinner. It was a perfect night made stress free by the wonderful Terry. I would hire them all over again and I tell everyone I know how wonderful my wedding day was because of them!
I was in the mood for a pastrami sandwich. I've been jonesing for a good deli since Toojay's closed (still haven't found one).
I ordered a hot sandwich to go, was given a cold sandwich on a plate. It was mediocre. The sides are pricey but tasty.
Since they "proudly serve" only Boar's Head meats, I could have bought the ingredients at Publix and made 2-3 sandwiches for the price of one here.
YMMV
I love the Italian! Food is great. Staff is always friendly. They have catered manu of our get togethers.
I still miss the old location on Beneva, but I still like their food. They have great matza ball soup, and a corned beef Reuben. I rarely eat meat, but when I do, the Reuben is def a favorite (minus the sauce.)
I'm new to Florida from NYC and found out about Nellie's through my job. HANDS DOWN Besides Publix sandwiches of course, Nellie's has made THEEEE BEST sandwich I've had since 2019. I felt like I was buying a sandwich from a deli down in Soho, better yet, getting one from the WTC.
Like the girl's behind the counter said "the food here is made with love". It damn sure was! I had the Vermont with a bowl of their cheddar n broccoli soup. BANGN'! Even the pickle on the side was on point I have no picture, I ate, savored my lunch and 2hrs later I needed a nap!
Now that's a sammich people!
Top notch outstanding service. They pay attention and go out of their to fulfill your order. A weekly stop for both Lunch and Breakfast they staff makes you feel like family.
They make really good sandwiches, but I have never had a great interaction with the employees at the deli. I have tried to get sandwiches multiple times within 15 minutes of closing (before they close) and they’ve just refused to make them. It’s bizarre because I’d be happy to spend my money there! They don’t seem very happy to be working and the customer service is poor.
Really good deli style sandwiches and soups. Incredibly friendly staff. A little pricier than I expected but was worth it. Only real issue we had is they didn't have sweetened tea, only unsweetened. I know it's a New York style deli, but this is the South and we like sweet tea, lol. I would recommend it for casual eating or just to go and hang out. Seemed like a lot of regulars go there people knew each h others names and the staff knew them.
Staff are always pleasant and friendly. Great food. Our local go-to for business lunches or catering.
I would never buy anything from this place they are rude and the food is mediocre at best. When I called about ordering something before I could even finish my question the person who answered the phone said, NO! We are not taking any orders. When I asked If I might be able to pick it up without having an order she said we fill orders first so don't bother coming in, maybe on Friday if we have any left. Incredibly rude and I have had similar experiences when I bought things from them in the past. NEVER AGAIN. I called Mortons Market, who has way better hours much better food and customer service. They had exactly what I wanted and said no problem whenever you want to pick it up. I highly recommend using them.
