Full disclosure: I never actually went to this facility, this review relates to the process of trying to schedule a test my doctor has ordered here.

My doctor referred me here for a test but trying to actually get it scheduled was a nightmare.

I called a week after my doctor sent the referral and spoke with James on the phone. He said he couldn’t check right now. Confused, I told him I could wait on hold while he checked or he could call me back later that day, but he insisted that he could not check that day as they were “seeing patients today. ” He took down my information and said he would call me back in 2 days. I’ve never had a doctors office tell me it would take days just to check if they’ve received a referral, and found the reasoning of “seeing patients” odd since that’s literally all a medical office does. But he was insistent, so I trusted he would call back.

I did not hear from him, and after 4 business days I called back. He started to go through the same spiel of taking my information, but after explaining we’d already gone through this 4 days ago and being persistent, he put me on hold while he checked. Said they hadn’t received it.

I call my doctor and explain - they confirm that they did send the referral. But they sent it again after confirming the correct fax information with Neurodx. My doctors office told me they faxed it in the afternoon and it should be in Neurodx’s system the next morning.

I call the next day, they claim they still do not have the referral. At this point I was done dealing with them.

I called another facility (EMAS), got my doctor to send a referral there, and a very pleasant individual called me back 2 days after receiving the referral and scheduled me promptly. Just had my testing there and it was an easy, pleasant experience - so I suggest going there or anywhere else for your testing. Neurodx was scheduling for about 2 months out while EMAS got me in within 2 weeks (and it would’ve been earlier but their staff who does the testing was out of the office for one week).

(Btw - it’s now been a month and a half since my doctor sent a referral to NeuroDx and they STILL never called me.)

Thank you, Dr. Nalluri, AL, Stephanie and James for the wonderful experience I had at NeuroDz. I used to work in a Neuro lab in NJ and I knew what to expect. I never wanted to have the test. However, persistent numbness and and weakness in my right hand prompted to go for the exam. Everything on my exam day meet my expectation! Thanks NueroDx for making my time at Neyro Dx the ultimate experience!

This organization does not know how to handle insurance! I have three insurances, they accept all of them. They told me I would have to pay $400 up front to get the nerve conduction study done! These people act like they've never handled Insurance before! The insurance companies I talk to said that they do cover deductibles and but could not guarantee that I would get my $400 deductible back. They said I would probably lose it! Since I don't have $400 to throw away, I canceled my appointment!

I had to have both a (NCS) Nerve Conduction Study and a
(EMG) Electromyography study. Each can be uncomfortable at best and painful at worst. The tests are what they are. The staff went out of their way to make sure this was as pleasant as possible. James took care of the check-in, Stephanie did the preliminaries. Mr. Muzaurieta took time to explain what he was doing, was compassionate and obviously skilled. Dr. Nalluri was detailed, specific and has the ability to make an unpleasant test endurable - he actually made me laugh. You could not ask for two better medical practicioners than these two gentlemen. Both are probably the best you could ever have. Thank you.
