Neurology Associates, Ormond Beach FL

I would not recommend this office for a loved one that needs ongoing support. Dr. Scott and his PA are both not very personable and even when giving my father a devastating diagnosis just barely explained it. They announced it like you would tell someone they have the flu. Now that he's going to a New Neurologists, I can't get them on the phone to even get his old records. In the past if I needed something I almost always had to go in and show up in person to get it done. I don't know where the phone rings, but they never answer it. And forget about leaving a message or even sending a message through the patient portal. I'm so glad we're done with this office!

Was referred to in June. Have never received a call back. They do not return phone calls

My husband is a veteran and we received a referral for this office. Apparently the referral has not come in. Upon trying to explain to Tammie that I just spoke to the Va patient care coordinator and she’s going to give them a call, she began to tell me that won’t make us do anything we need a referral. I said yes, I understand I’m just telling you that she will be calling you in a few minutes. Again she stated that that doesn’t mean we’ll get an appointment because we need a referral to which I reiterated that I understand which is why patient advocate from the Va referral would call because if there’s an issue and they didn’t send it they can fix that and get them the referral. Tammie became even more agitated and told me I don’t know what you don’t understand that won’t do anything with out a referral. Seriously, this was so unnecessary as I was only letting her know I understand and since we are relying on the Va for the referral, the referral department will give you a call shortly. I stated I don’t think you understand Tammie, I am saying I get it, you need a referral which is why I’m having them call you. Tammie then told me that she can’t help me and hung up on me! How absurd!

This review is for the owner/s of Neurology Associates of Ormond Beach: I received a call on 08/28/2023 at 3: 03 PM by a female scheduler (if she was a nurse this makes it even worse) who was rude and unprofessional - The point of calling me was to schedule an appmt due to a referral in order for the VA to then send the authorization; she incorrectly stated what the visit was for which I corrected her, then she started to take intake information instead of taking basic information she was taking the actual detailed intake which was sensitive information. I informed her to please send me via email the intake form or I can fill it out once I get to the office the day of the appmt early twice. The scheduler repres.hung on me stating to have the VA call her back that this was the only way I would get an appmt. To the Owner, Providers, and Office Manager of Neurology Associates of Ormond Beach the staff is a representation of the name and the facility of who you hire if you are unaware of how human beings let alone patients are being treated now you are aware first impressions are everything. I will not be following through and it is clear of why the rating and reviews are a 1. I am a servant of God and have had past medical experience this is not acceptable therefore review is left for accountability and change of staff who represents you the way patients would want to be treated from the start. Will be sending a referral else where. Thank you. God Bless you All.

Very rude staff never answer the phone took 2 weeks for doctor to return my call good luck trying to get them to answer phone took me 2 days.will never go back.and place was not even busy.would not even give this place 1 star.

Would not waste my time with this group, found a very good neurologist who saw me when needed Dr. Manfred Gerwall
