I love Dr. Smurr, but since he sold to New Tampa Eye Institute the staff for ordering glasses or repairing glasses are terrible. Years ago, you could take broken glasses in and Paul would either fix them or send them off. They were always back on time when Paul said they would be. Three months ago, my granddaughter broke her glasses, so they were sent off, she just got them back today 10/12/23, and the lens are about to fall out! The Optical women told her mom, she just needs to be careful with them! The lens are wobbling all around her glasses, and she needs to be careful! She went 3 months without them and they are not even fixed properly! I have a co-worker that said her glasses were lost due to the company/person that takes care of sending them off! I wished Dr. Smurr would have never sold, I wished the new company would use Dr. Smurr’s old company for eyewear and let Paul repair glasses! We will not be buying glasses from New Tampa eye institute again!

My experience is always wonderful. From the friendly professional staff to the doctors exam. I only have one request. Please find a way to make the waiting room more comfortable.

From reception to check out the staff at New Tampa Eye made me comfortable and confident I was receiving to notch treatment. No one rushed me and Dr Small took time to explain test results and made sure any questions were answered. I’ve made my 2024 appointment.

I am a new patient and was extremely happy with my entire experience that I had with Dr Smurr at Dade City.
The office staff are all extremely friendly, happy, efficient and ready to help.they have a "small-town-friendly, no pressure" atmosphere that I felt very comfortable in.
The office modern as is the digital scanning and equipment they use.
I was treated with respect and courtesy, and my exam and consultation with Dr Smurr was both thorough and informative.
I ordered new glasses which I am still waiting for, and will update the review after I get them.
