Nick & Johnny's Osteria reviews
18Nick and Johnnie's is very very good the food is excellent the service is outstanding. And the atmosphere with the music is just awesome.
Sinfully delicious food!
Great portions, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and top notch service!
Highly recommend!
Busy place tonight. Oysters Rockefeller are wonderful. Fried ravioli are thick and heavy, not like the St. Louis fried ravioli. Osso Buco is good and falls off the bone. Chicken calabrese, (lightly breaded and baked, topped with gorgonzola, spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella) has two huge pieces and is delicious. The Riggies, rigatoni with chicken, mushrooms, prosciutto and mozzarella cheese comes piping hot in a huge bowl, and is very tasty. Really nice service from Eva
Went here for the first time with a group of my family for dinner. The red sauce is really amazing. I had the chicken parmesan with penne and the peanut butter pie for dessert. The chicken was seasoned very well and it was a generous portion. The pasta was good, but could have been a bit more firm. Our server was very friendly and kind. The ambiance of the place is really nice with the live music. Great place for a casual meal!
Music on most weekdays. Friendly atmosphere and can sit at bar or eat in either of 2 spaces, casual or more formal.
Our favorite restaurant during winter months in Florida; at least once a week. Got there at 5: 30 yesterday, and moody looking manager wanted to give us a table about 18” wide in the middle of the room. Asked for one of the booths or table in the barroom. He refused. Just as we were about to ask for outside table, two ladies walked in, asked for a booth, and he seated them! We left. Didn’t see Nick or we would have spoken with him. Had dinner elsewhere. No more Nick and Johnny’s. Sad.
I made reservations on the answer phone and then had to call back to cancel. The man who picked up my call answered "Ya. I then asked if this WAS Nick and Johnnys.he said Yeah. I then said I had to cancel.l said what name it was under.silence. I hung up.good luck to anyone else.rudeness abounds
Loved all the food we had. Although the crab cakes were exceptionally delicious. Highly recommend
I never leave bad reviews but I feel compelled to for this experience at this place. As per their voice-mail instructions I left a message to make a reservation for Christmas Eve at 7: 30 for dinner of a party of 5. According to their instructions they only call you if they can not accommodate you. I never heard anything back from them so I assumed my reservation was good. We went there on Christmas Eve at the time of our reservation and was met with the rudest hostess, Regina or Gina, and was told that she didn't get my information and that was no way to make a reservation and that the owner put that message in their voice-mail but that's not how she does things. Then she lectured me that I should know better. I asked her if she could accommodate us or not she said sure I can sit you outside. We were having a cold spell in Florida and it was freezing out. At 48 degrees, I could not have my 80 year old mother sitting out there. I told her forget it and started to leave. She told me I should speak to the owner about so I am. You should be aware that this is happening since you read these reviews. You should know how your employees speak about you and how they treat your customers. We have dined at your establishment in the past and used to love going to Nick's Tomato. Never had any issues, food was always good and the staff was always pleasant. But this hostess with the chip on her shoulder shouldn't work in hospitality service. She did neither you nor me any service. Any would be patrons out there, don't leave them a message when trying to make a reservation. They will not honor it.
My favorite Italian food in South Florida. I know that's a bold statement but it's the truth. The red sauce is incredible. If you like karaoke then make sure to check it out on Wednesday nights.
As two persons in our late 80's, We were overwhelmed
by the confusion at the front door as we entered.
Even though, we made reservations for a nice quiet anniversary dinner, sunday was the wrong day. The hideaway corner was not adding
to our no happiness
at this restaurant.
Hostess rude and snappish. Food ok but not like Nick's Tomato Pie used to be. Interior too dark.
Good grandma Italian food. The Aribiata is wonderfully spicy. The lasagna was very good. Salads good. But the eggplant was exceptional. Not fried. Sautéed with spinach
I go to Nick’s on average at least once a week and the food is always outstanding. Angela, who runs the kitchen, does a phenomenal job. And Nick knows how to run a restaurant. He’s been in the business for years and he’s always there to welcome you. The staff works hard from the hostess to the bartenders and waiters. I highly recommend Nick & Johnies.
Disliked the food and style service was ok but could be much better going to avoid going here
Waitress was fantastic, Very attentive. Meal was delicious.
I would recommend that the house salad be upgraded. Music was really delightful and the musician was a lot of fun.
Calm casual ambiance. Food is super delicious. The only negative was the too loud music Friday night set up near bar. Do not want to hear that group again.
OMG! Radio station was so excited to advertise Nick and Johnnie's, but the Food, entertainer and staff, brought it home. Just finished leftovers with my family, Aida and Marie.
