Nine Spices Hotpot reviews
27First time at this type of restaurant and it was fantastic definitely would recommend trying it
If it's your first time going ask for Bryan! Excellent server! Food is delicious! Would go back!
We walked in at 11. They closed at 12. They told us they couldn't serve us. Big disappointment since we just moved in town. Will definitely find somewhere better to go where they treat guests a little better. An hour before closing time is no reason to send a customer away. Who does it benefit? I hope the owner sees this.
Love the variety of dishes that are on the rotating belt. The sauce station also has a great selection of sauces to get/mix.
Very unique dinning. We choose the all you can eat option. They give you 2 hours for dinner and the food comes around on a conveyor belt. You can pick and choose from seafood to vegetables. The food cooks in a hot pot with your choice of broth.
We were there on a Sunday evening and the place was very busy. The concept is simple but I would recommend going with someone who has done this before to show you the ropes.
Not bad hot pot. But.vegetarians BEWARE.
At the sauce station, I asked the staff which sauces were vegetarian, and which were not. Obviously, seafood sauce and oyster sauce have fish. When I asked the staff about the Shacha sauce - which is the STANDARD sauce chinese people use for the hot pot, they told me that they didn't think that there was any meat inside.
What's troubling is.three staff members all told me that their shacha sauce was vegetarian.
NO IT'S NOT. I've been having hotpot since I was a kid. Shacha sauce is made of soybean oil, garlic, shallots, chilis, brill fish and dried shrimp.
I was quite disappointed that not just one, THREE members of their staff were unclear as to what ingredients were in their dish. I mean. If I were allergic to shellfish - and I had the shacha sauce - and you told me that there was no shellfish. Guess which restaurant is getting sued?
I think it's on the management to properly educate staff on what ingredients are in your food.
At Hotto-Potto - the hot pot place I usually go, they make it very clear what sauces are vegetarian and what are not. AND they provide a vegetarian Shacha sauce. Maybe you want to look into that. Yeah.
Just very disappointed that three staff members were not properly educated as to what ingredients were in the sauces. I was properly angry at their ignorance. Get it together.
As for the broth, vegetable selections and service - It was great! Really liked my server and the people there were pretty friendly actually. Just be conscious about your ingredients because being vegetarian-friendly is important.
You're welcome!
The broth was bland and the meat wasnt fresh. I love hot pot but this place was not good at all. Everything looked like it had been sitting for hours. I wouldnt come back here.
Staff is friendly, nice vibes in general, food overall is good but try to avoid seafood if you can because it isn't very fresh (bad smell).
It was a delightful dining experience. Be open minded. Please try the shrimps and dumplins. I added my sauce to the broth and changed up the flavors various times. Although they suggest to cook all ingredients in the broth then use sauce for dipping but I beg to differ. It was delish! I will definitely come back!
Liked the entire experience. My husband loves the cuisine though I am not a big fan of it.but he always loves to have it and he recommended it.
Bland soup base,
Little meat portion in combo,
Many sauces have oxidized smell,
Strongly suspicious about storing temperature is not low enough for fish balls, beef ball, fish ball, fish cake and some others.
Great food. Large portion for a decent price. Usually has a long wait time, and the service is okay- not the most helpful servers ever.
Super delicious and super fresh food. The wait is never long either even on a busy night. I absolutely loved the broths and the sauces. Overall a great place and wonderful drinks, as well. Will definitely come back!
I dont like it!
And i am from Chengdu
I dont like the taste (*꒦ິ꒦ີ)
Decoration is not bad
Staff are friendly
Not worthy the wait time
Eaten here twice so far and really enjoyed it! Love the broth options and all the meat and veggie options on the conveyor belt. It’s all you can eat which is nice. Service has been great and the place has been packed.
Awesome place with tons of selection for your hot pot. The price is great for all you can eat at only $25 per person. My favorite is the lamb and the pork dumplings. Also feel free to ask for anything you don't see on the conveyor belt. I always ask for some steamed rice as well. My favorite sauce is the sweet and sour which very light and goes well with the meat and vegetables. I recommend experimenting with the herbs as well (I love adding cilantro to my soup). Seriously love this place.
This place is great! I recommend the all you can eat @ $25 a person. There is a large selection of food and the broth has a really good flavor. My belly was full and satisfied after leaving.
Had a bad service today!
I visited here many times and love to have a hot pot here. (I living in Tampa, I could driving about 90 mins just for the hot pot)
BUT, today (8/16/2018), my husband and I visited again. Our waitress didn’t do ANYTHING after we ordered. Never came to fill water and soups. She disappeared after we ordered.
FEEL SO BAD!
An incredible restaurant! A little pricey but I am willing to pay for this delicious unlimited hot pot!
Too good to be true. All you care to eat for $25. You get to pick whatever you want from a constantly moving conveyor. Fresh ingredients. All kinds of meats, seafood and veggies. More sauces to mix and match than you would ever want. Seven soup choices. Attentive staff. Hope this place lasts.
