Nona Dentists and Orthodontics, Orlando FL

Both times I’ve been here they try to upcharge and sell me on things. I have never seen a dentist try to sell me on so much. It’s like a used car lot salesman trying to sell warranties. And squeeze them in at the end of the sale.

Great team! Laura was so attentive, always checking on me and willing to listen to my questions and worries. Jeanette helped my mother to relax and her cheerfulness made me feel like my mom was in good hands. Dr. Hien Chao was a dream! I think I found my forever dentist office!

I had a very pleasant experience at my visit! Dr. Chao and Jeanette were amazing. They made sure I felt comfortable during my whole procedure. They took their time to explain the steps and they did everything with a smile.:) I will be coming back here. Thank you!

I know I made the right decision when I picked nona dentists and ortho for all my dental needs. Dr Chris was very attentive and caring took his time explaining the treatment that I needed he was not rushing me through my visit, a real professional in his craft. When it came time for my cleaning Claudia a hygienist was great she explained the cleaning and I was not in the dark as the procedure was going on. All of the staff was great, Kendra at the front desk, working around my schedule to get me in a date and time that’s convenient to me, and Dr penni is a phenomenal orthodontist.

Professional and friendly office! Dr. Kris and Ari along with the other staff are very patient and compassionate.

Epic fail.disorganized. I felt violated and scammed.
UPDATE. I received the EOB from Medicare Advantage provider. I went in for the simple preventative dental visit, which should have cost next to nothing, and the charges exceeded $2,000. They included x-rays which I did not want or need, a deep clean, neither wanted or needed, fluoride which I definitely did not want and a bogus charge for instruction. The majority of charges were by a dentist I never met. They used fear to up sell. The actual cleaning was a joke. At the time they were advertising a basic visit for $59. Do the math. I was definitely scammed. Don't tell them you have insurance. BEWARE!

Dr Kris and Ari are awesome dental providers. Great and caring service. Highly recommend this dental office. Saved me a lot of expensive dental work from another provider.

Dr. Newman is the BEST periodontist! She was very professional, kind and my entire experience was seamless! Highly recommend.

Terrible. To start off the front desk workers were very unprofessional gossiping and talking loudly in-front of all the people in the waiting room. I waited two hours for a dental cleaning and nobody came to clean my teeth, it was very disorganized starting with the front desk people and with the workers in the back. I got an x-ray then got examined by my doctor then they asked me for my insurance and was in the waiting chair for 40 minutes. I am a medical assistant so I know that the people working in the front desk were very unprofessional.

Awesome experience with Dr. Newman and Caleb. They really made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The front office staff is also very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Deep Cleaning is obligated instead of a regular cleaning, if recommended. Just FYI for anyone who is form a different country and is not used to that. You don’t get to choose to have the regular one. This puts you in an uncomfortable position if you won’t want it for any reason, which forced me to do an annual check up at another dentist.

I have a huge fear of dentists and my experience was so comfortable and thorough. The staff there is amazing. My dental care was fantastic. I have never had a better dental cleaning in my life.

Dr. Nam and Jeanette are awesome! The services on Saturdays very quick and professional! I recommend 100% this doctors office on Saturdays!

They will deny you care if you don't agree to routine X-rays. Yet their X-ray machine is cracked and obviously not properly maintained. They tried to "fix" it with packing tape!

I once had skin cancer on my face and don't feel comfortable with X-rays but they don't care at all. They call it "neglect" if they don't force X-rays on you, but how is it not neglect to deny me care while saying "no other practice will see you either"?

They don't respect privacy at all. There's often random people hanging around when my health is being discussed. Today, I heard them discussing another patient's anesthesia and medication in front of everyone in the waiting area.

They also never apologize for any of their mistakes, including when they sent me appointment details for the wrong time. Today they tried to overcharge me for fluoride treatment that I didn't and have never received!

PLEASE do not respond with any of this "call us to discuss" tripe. Own up and discuss it here! If you reply to this asking me to call, it just shows that you don't care about what's written here. Why should a patient call you to discuss a bad review? You should reach out to the patient. This is my real name, unlike the many fake reviews for this office with no reputation attached to them.

I have been a patient at Nona Dentist for over 5 years, when I first moved to Florida. They were a brand new office that was close by so I thought I’d give it a try. They are totally outstanding and really give you the best care. Dr. Nam has been very attentive to me from day one. I was just there today for a very painful tooth problem. Dr. Nam told me to come right in, the oral surgeon, Bianca Newman and her assistant Caleb saw how much pain I was in and made me feel at ease. They played my favorite music (ELVIS), which helped even more. When I left the chair the pain was GONE. They have special cleaning dentist, mine is Yelena Kuyava. Another outstanding person, I feel like she is a family member. You 5 stars are just not enough for all of them. If you have a fear of dentist, have no hesitation they have all the most updated equipment which does not include any PAIN Go for it?

This dental team is unlike any other! I’ve been going there for a couple years now and even after moving I make the 3 hour drive to see my amazing hygienist Yelena. She is so thorough and personable which puts me at ease. Very thankful for the entire staff!
