We left a veterinary facility where we felt like just a number (and a dollar amount) and began at North Port St. Lucie Animal Hospital. Our two large puppies have been seeing Dr Carell (and Ms Rita) on our visits. They have each had blood work, exams, and a procedure (spay/neuter), and we have been pleased every time we've gone there. Our dogs' incisions look amazing! (You would think our doctor was operating on his own pet.) Every time our family goes in with our very active dogs, the amazing staff treats our dogs as though they're their own! Our pups have boarded overnight, and obviously had a good time as they run in the door and get extremely excited every time we go! The prices are very reasonable, and the staff (Jenny, Angela, Kristen, Samantha, etc.the list goes on!) has wonderful follow-up care. They checked on our pups for days after their surgery with real concern. The office has a very relaxed (but "on top of things") feel. The atmosphere adds to the great experience we've had each time we're there. We would HIGHLY recommend Dr Carell, the staff, and the boarding at North Port St. Lucie Animal Hospital!

On Tuesday my dog was suffering from a tick bite infection so I took him to an animal hospital who was open. After blood work was received, they sent the blood work to North Port St Lucie Animal Hosp indicating that it was a tick bite infection and required treatment. They never called or contacted me to let me know that he needed immediate treatment By Saturday my dog was too far gone and had to be put to rest. On Monday the hospital called to make sure I was notified and that my dog was being treated. North Port St. Lucie Animal replied saying that they assumed the hospital was taking care of it and they just filed the blood work. All that was needed was a phone call to me letting me know it was a critical situation and my dog most likely would have been fine. Such a lazy irresponsible staff cost my dog his life and losing a buddy who I’ve had for 11 years. No words to describe how I feel.
They don't even deserve one star but I had to give one star for it to post. A total disgrace. I am also very upset that the Animal Emergency & Referral Center in Fort Pierce did not notify me either after calling numerous times to see if the blood work was back yet. Instead, they passed along to another irresponsible Vet who sat there and did nothing while my dog was dying. Also, don’t just go by the reviews on their webpage they only post the good ones. - Anthony N.

Brought my little weiner in for Dental work last week and everything went extremely well. Staff was very helpful and friendly especially Samantha who helped me through the whole process. I recommend anyone in need of animal care to see them. They will not be disappointed.

The staff is great and the place is well kept! Sam cared for my dogs as if they were her own. I’ve been to other vets and this one doesn’t compare!

My family has been taking our pets here for many many years. They are always so caring and compassionate. They are so gentle and patient with all of my pets, especially my pitbull, who needs to be sedated to get his nails clipped every 2 to 3 months because he moves around soooo much. The staff is always very sweet. They help me with my kitties ailments and I took her back to Northport last Saturday to have her put down as she was 17 years old and very very sick.dr. Morton gave her a check up anyway before the injection and she even choked up a bit. I’ve never seen that before so they are very caring people. I had her cremated. They sent her out to Haisley‘s funeral home and called me as soon as they got her back. This is still so fresh to me. I can hardly write this review.in tears.
I husband picked her up for me. She came in a beautiful wood box with a certificate, her paw, print and plaster, and a piece of her fur. A few days later, I received a sympathy card in the mail from Northport. It was signed by the staff with each one giving a heartfelt message. That was just so wonderful to me! Thank you so much North Port staff! It means a lot!

My name is Leo and I am a difficult patient. I had the best experience today with Dr. McNamara and her technician. They were very accommodating to my anti-social behavior to all other furr babies. Thank you for all the great care and fair price.

Due to traffic I showed up 16 minutes late. While in the parking lot I called and said Meeko is here thinking they were still coming to the cars. They told me the front was open to come in. I went in just foe both ladies to tell me the vet couldn't see me because I was late. I am handicap that could of been told to me when I was calling from the car.

Fast forward to the next day as I had to reschedule. I couldn't go as the day before all of that impacted my ability to walk since I'm handicap. A lady called and sorta argued on the phone to tell me that I didn't do what I just wrote here and I called to tell them I was late. This is not correct. It's a shame that people exist like this will lie to cover their mistake and don't take unto consideration handicap people. The veterinarian on this office is nice but the employees have ruined it for me. I will not be brining any of my pets back. Next time make sure of who you are speaking to and make sure you accomodate handicap people.

My experience was great. I had 2 small dogs and the animal tech /nurse was extremely patient and handled each dog with care.

I have been with Dr. Carrell since I moved to Florida in 1989. He is so caring and kind and would highly recommend if you are looking for a vet. Kristen is excellent and so kind. The staff at North Port St Lucie Animal Hospital is very caring and kind. They always make you feel welcome.

You took care of us promptly, I didn't feel rushed al all, you answered all of my questions and explained everything really well, and Kristen gave me options. I appreciate feeling as though my animals were as important to you as they are to me!

Today was my dog's very first visit to this clinic to get his rabies shot. The Vet Technician and Veterinarian were very kind and patient when they were dealing with my Dog who was being fussy today. After my experience today I've chosen to make this clinic my dogs permanent Veterinary. So I recommend that you bring your pet to this clinic because of how kind, caring, patient etc.the Vet Technician, Veterinarian, and all of the other faculty and staff are.

Me and my husband are very happy to have found this hospital after a bad experience at another place. We take both our puppies here. One of them got a surgery. They’re very attentive, we get reminders and calls about results and due vaccinations and exams. Dr. Erin takes good care of Rosco and Ronan.

Carried my healthy little boy in to get his teeth cleaned and 2 hours later I carried him out in a box. The vet explained what she thought may have caused his death and I agree with what she said. Before we left to take him home they gave me a 192.bill and 40.of it was for CPR. This just proves that beyond the shadow of a doubt this establishment is ONLY out for the money. When Dr. Gill was there it was a whole different office. If anyone knows a vet that you can count on please let me know. I am only giving 1 star because they won’t let me post unless I do. We just put him in the ground 5 minutes ago.

Staff is super courteous on the phone answering my questions for a new patient appointment for my cat. They were thorough and explained everything that was needed for a first time appointment and even gave me suggestions on how to get my fur baby prepared for her upcoming visit.

If you’re looking for a hospital where the staff genuinely cares about your pets well being, THIS IS IT! They explained everything to me regarding treatment for my sick pup and treated him like he was their own. My pup actually enjoys going into that building! Great team and hospital overall.

My dog Harley was not feeling so well she had a abscess tooth that was really infected swelled up her face she was in so much pain she could barely eat the wonderful people at this place dr. McNamara and Courtney the tech helped Harley and I lol to feel better they gave her two different types of meds and scheduled her for surgery on her tooth she's doing so much better thanks to the wonderful staff they are so polite and great with my pet I would recommend them to anybody Harley loved dr. McNamara as we all know chihuahuas love no one but their owners.people do check them out great priced and staff treats your pet like their own it's like family there and to them they are family and that definitely helped with Harley she hates vet appointments
