Northdale Rehabilitation Center, Tampa FL

I am currently a patient here and have been the last 5 months due to health issues and I have received PHENOMENAL care by the most caring, loving, and attentive staff that goes above and beyond to not only see to their patients physical needs but go the extra mile to do what it takes to support their emotional needs as well. They love what they do and it shows in their hard work! Everyone knows me by name, never passes by me without a smile, hello, how are you, and usually a hug. I am always clean and yes, sometimes it takes time to get the call light answered, but let's be REAL honest! Emergencies happen and there is a medium to high patient/CNA ratio in ANY facility! However, I've waited more than 2 and 3 hours in several other facilities. I will admit, the food is not the best, but I'm an extremely picky eater, so you can take that with a grain of salt.

Mom went in with one fracture and was transported to the hospital a few weeks later and the ER found four more fractures, yet this facility denied a fall. I would not allow her to go back there. We found a better place. I do not recommend this place. It is severely understaffed and not safe. My mother had two floral nightgowns. The pink one went missing and I had to bother them and it finally reappeared. But, after she was admitted to the hospital, I went to Northdale to retrieve mom’s clothes and the blue floral nightgown was missing. Not as big a deal as the additional fractures and the drugging with Xanax without asking me, her medical surrogate and DPOA.

BTY - I tried your link and only was able to enter my phone number in a "non secure" site according to my computer. Just look up the last name MERCER, first, L. She left your facility with four additional fractures! I never let them send her back.

My mother-in-law stayed at Northdale Rehab for 7 weeks. This Facility was spectacular! Everyone there was so friendly and nice. They made my mother-in-laws stay very nice. I highly recommend this rehab for anyone who needs that type of place. Juanita

The Northde rehab center is a place zI highly recommend. They are kind and give good consistent care to the patients. The place is clean and does not smell. The nurses are well qualified and careful with your medicine. They seem to hire enough kind help that your needs are reasonably taken care of. The food is more like home cooking and usually good. It is a nice place.

My Mom has been at Northdale since Sept. 2022 and all I can say to everyone at Northdale is THANK YOU! Everyone has been so kind, so supportive. My mother could not be in better hands. Everyone from top to bottom has treated her as if she was their own family. I Love and appreciate everyone there. THANK YOU. I can go into more detail and point everyone out to a person but I'd run out of space.

BEWARE. My father was in Northdale Rehab for approximately 3 weeks following a heart procedure where a stent was inserted at St. Joseph's Hospital. 3 days after the procedure was complete, he went to Northdale Rehab. The first evening at Northdale I received a call stating your father had fallen from his wheelchair. I asked why he was put in a wheelchair following the heart procedure and was told buy the physical therapist, Rolando they were unaware of the procedure and would not have put him in the chair had they had known. I was baffled they were unaware of the procedure, as that was the main reason he was there. During the 3 week stay at Northdale I received just one update on how he was doing. I left multiple message with their Director Nursing, Jennifer Lawlor and never received a call back. Messages were also left for his Unit Manager, Joe Betts and also received no call backs. During his entire stay he had a catheter. The catheter stopped working for as long as two days per the St. Joseph's doctor, causing him to be rushed back to the hospital as his bladder had in excess of 650 ml of urine, nearly double the amount that can potentially cause the bladder to rupture. Again, this went unnoticed for up to two days by the Northdale staff. This caused my father to have sepsis, a UTI and a bladder infection. Shame on the staff who is responsible for the wellbeing of others. The lack of communication is completely inexcusable. This review is only my opinion.

One of the schedulers are rude and ghetto I don’t care if I’m PRN or not no permanent assignment no show then wanna haha with another nurse like it’s funny grow up you should have addressed that in orientation I bet you don’t treat your children that way

My father was transferred to Northdale Rehabilitation from the hospital. He has received excellent service. The staff has been amazing, they have all made my dad feel safe and nurtured. They have been on point with his care and because of this my dad has made great progress. Thank you all for everything you do! God bless you!

My mother has been resident for 3 months now. First in rehabilitation and now in long term care. The facility is clean and staff is very friendly. Marion Vasquez in the administration has been very helpful from the beginning and is a true asset to the organization there. I'm truly blessed to find this place for my mother.

My mom was admitted at the Northdale Rehabilitation Facility. It was the best decision my siblings and I made for her.
Starting from the admission…MARION who helped us on the required documents needed to get my mom admitted. She’s a wonderful knowledgeable person.

AUGUST, maintenance guy who is always fixing things that needed to be fixed.
PT’s LAUREN, LLOYD, TYRONE, AMY and HONEY who are always there to help.
TCU nurses especially nurse JEN who I bother with so many questions. She’s friendly and very caring person
MELVIN the unit manager, busy busy man but will give you his undying attention when needed.
JACKY the house keeping lady who keep my mom’s room clean.
The activity ladies…TINA, DIANE and ROSA who keep my mom busy with daily activities.
Most of all the CNA employees who take care of my mom daily needs…IRMA, SEKUO and MANDY

Dont want to work there. The last time i work there is that CNAs are not doing their job very well. The nurse manager is unaware of whats happening. I don't want to work there.they made me sign something that is not real story.that place for me is a bad rap.

One of the hardest and challenging undertaking is to find a good SNF for a parent. After much research and visits at facilities, my sister found Northdale Rehabilitation/SNF. Our mother has been a resident in the facility for almost one year. She is well taken care off by the entire staff of Northdale Rehab. All her needs are met and addressed at an admirable expeditious manner. We feel better and so thankful that our mother is in good caring hands at Northdale Rehabilitation/SNF!

Praise & thank You Lord for sending Ms. Marion Vasquez of Northdale Rehabilitation Center & all the staff from the managers, nurses, CNAs to the therapists to our family. I agree with my 3 sisters Lari J. Peterson, Boots J. Konig, Lori J. Diaz & my wife Suzette N. Judalena that Northdale Rehabilitation Center is the best nursing home for my mother Elisa M. Judalena. My husband and I are from the Philippines. We have been visiting my mother-in-law everyday since October 2,2022. I must say that the facility where she is at has done a very good job in taking good care of my Mom in-law. I must commend the staff who has been doing the best they can to make their patients be comfortable & that all their needs be met. The Unit manager, CNAs, nurses, therapists, maintenance head & staff, receptionists… everyone’s been very friendly & most of all, respectful. The facility is clean.
