Ocala Sun RV Resort

Great park, we’ve been here almost to a year now. And we love the park. Clean, everyone is friendly, clean pool.

We spent a week here, day to day basis. The staff was very nice in working with us. The park was clean, neat and peaceful. Construction out on the main road but still fairly easy to cross traffic. Close to 75.

It is not a hotel and/or a motel it is an RV park a pool behind or drivable rvs. Someone was moving out of their 25' pull behind RV I was hired to come clean it there are slabs to go with the R v's really nice I saw tennis court outside restrooms a recreation area don't know about the inside

I have had my RV parked here for 1 year and 3 months and plan on being long term. They are wonderful! They refill your propane tanks here in the park, they are reasonably priced compared to other RV parks & Everyone that works here is very nice. A lot of nice full time tenants as well. The pool is well taken care of and we get our mail in a mail room. I've been very happy here.

Pulled in here to get off the road from a long travel. Real nice friendly neighbors in a good area and plenty of room for a big rig. Mine is 41 ft and had no trouble getting in and out of the park. Will stop here again when traveling. 5 out of 5.

People are very nice here, place is impeccably clean, sites are paved and big rig friendly for sure. Would recommend and would stay again. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the occasional sewage smell. Not their fault

We are into our fourth week of a four week stay at Ocala Sun and honestly, this park saved our bacon. We could not book any state parks during this month and frankly they were our last resort but what a pleasant surprise. The staff is professional and efficient, the grounds are constantly maintained, and the bathrooms are clean and plentiful considering this is a huge park. There are many permutations of living arrangements here, from full timers, to cottages to those coming and going. It is quiet, secure and clean. The value for your money is remarkable. I highly recommend this park. Ocala is not the most exciting area of Flordia, but Ocala Sun is a real treasure. Truly the most bang for our buck in our eight months on the road.

"Pet friendly" is advertised BUT that doesn't take into account their breed restrictions. Those who work with rescue animals (myself included) would attest to encountering Chihuahuas (and Golden's and Great Dane's) more vicious then mixed breed rescue dogs. But to those who are in favor of BSL thinking outside the box is impossible.

You cannot have a campfire here but it is a safe secure place to stay when you are enjoying Florida.

No privacy whatsoever!
This would be a one star rating if it weren't for how nice the people that run this place are. The highway is only a half a mile from the campground. Oddly enough, it is much louder at night than during the day. Do not come here if you are looking for camping. They have a big section in the back that you can tell is full timers, but the front is for people "camping". It is a big grass portion with RVs lined up. The lots are extremely small. They make you pull in facing each other so they can get as many RVs in as a possible. You have no privacy from whatsoever. You are looking at your next door neighbor and they are looking at you when you sit out in front of your camper. That's how they pack them in here. They allow screen tents. But told us they had a RV coming in that night to pull in next to us so we should bring our tent over so they can fit them in. We clarifed that that was our lot, but they said we would still need to move in case they need to come across our lot to get into their lot. That's crazy! We RV eights months out of the year and have never come across anything like this in a campground. But then again, we have only stayed in campgrounds, not parking lots.

My wife and I have camped here 4times over the last 2 years. Each time we have brought our 3 dogs with us and scooters that we ride. The last time we camped there, I was told oh, you have a loud scooter, if you don’t bring that you can camp here. Today, I tried making a reservation and was told because we have 3 dogs we can’t camp here unless we leave 1 behind and only bring 2. AND if we get caught with 3 dogs we will be kicked out and never be allowed to camp there again. This in not pet friendly or customer friendly. Two times we are told to leave something behind. All of the Harleys in the campground are way louder than any scooter. Previously allowing us with our dogs and now shutting us down. So much for pet and family friendly.

I simply love this place! I'm a newbie to RV life, and was only planning on staying a month here, but now I've decided to stay awhile longer! They will help guide you and answer all questions without hesitation. Staff is super helpful and very welcoming! Perfect for your furbabies as well!

Arriving at the campground I totally missed the office. It really needs a bigger sign. I thought it was a bath house. The staff was awesome and super nice. My site was clean and well maintained. I used the dog park and loved it especially the dog wash area. The only problem with this park is that it has a septic smell throughout the campground. I'm not sure if they are having problems but it does smell and not just in the back of the campground. I was near the entrance and could smell it. My overall experience was great. I would stay there again.

We called for a one night stay same day. They had several one night spots. Full hook up. Very nice grounds. Bath house very clean. Friendly staff and regulars. Dog friendly. Would recommend.

Park is clean. Lots are plenty big. WiFi is, well, pretty weak. My only complaint is that you will rarely see anyone outside due to the extremely strong sewer odor.

We are currently staying in spot 269 I am writing this review as I am sitting looking out the window after reading some of the other reviews saying to beware and this place that it is something it's not. This place is beautiful! It's brand spanking new the staff is super nice the place is ultra clean and we have zero complaints so to all of you who have an issue with this place I can tell you from first-hand experience this place is really nice. We highly recommend Ocala Sun RV resort!
