Hotel Ocean Inn reviews
12They will try to pull a fast one on you so don’t be tricked by the smile and no matter how nice you be plus I’m still itching from being in one of the rooms
The cutest little hotel I have ever stayed in.great for young couples who wanna be close to the beach. Service was amazing, I cannot wait to go back.
This a a dump motel! The bath towels, washcloths, all the linens and pillowcases were covered in stains. They had the nerve to roll the wash clothes when they were gray in color. The tv remote was dirty and sticky. The tv volume button didn’t work. I was so glad I brought my own towel and washcloth! There is no one in the office and they don’t answer the office phone or respond to emails.
There was another guest who was looking for someone at the office and they said, the office has been closed for days.
I saw a posting in one of the windows that listed this micro studio for $2,500/month. The only highlight about this property is the beach is a block away. Do not stay here!
Terrible experience dealing with this MOTEL. Unfortunately had a reservation the day the Fort Lauderdale airport was completely shut down due to the extreme flooding throughout the area. My flight was canceled, and I had reached out inquiring about a refund. I understand there's a no refund policy - but come on, it wasn't like I missed my flight. The runway was basically a lake and nobody was getting in or out of the city.
But I receive no answer to my email. And then I emailed a second time asking for my $20 parking pass I paid for to at least be refunded. No answer. It took a 3rd email harshly criticizing their customer service for them to FINALLY refund my parking fee and offer an $88 hotel credit (even though I paid $135) that can be used within a year. I have no plans to return to this area let alone this motel within the year, so that's completely useless to me. I'd highly recommend a name brand hotel who values your loyalty and business. Not the Ocean Inn where once you pay, they don't care about you.
My husband and I love this place it’s beautiful and relax and so close to the ocean, the staff Phill, Pilar, Kelvin and the owner are wonderful people. I will recommend this hotel to family and friends
DONT STAY HERE! I stayed in one of their rooms. I got there at 10am and wasn't allowed check into my room until 3pm. My room was crawling with ants, they were everywhere. All over the food, under and in the sink crawling out and onto the counter. Up in the cupboards, on the table. I had to check out early to go back home and they said they would pay back for the nights I didn't stay there but I had booked. It's been over a month of calling them and they keep saying it's a problem with their accounting. Now they won't answer the phone. They still owe me like $300. DO NOT STAY HERE!
My partner and I like this place, it's close to the beach and it's clean, nothing fancy, friendly people, I didn't like the bed the first time but they have been improving. We like the patio and I celebrated my birthday with some friends last year.
Very unique vibe in a super cool location along the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. A couple things did not work well, but we enjoyed it
This place was not good we had bed bugs all n our room an customer service sucked to even fix a problem never again
The Ocean Inn is simply the best location for the money you could reasonably expect to find on the coast of Florida. This is an old school independent hotel with 11 rooms. Only a few have a view of the water, but that is a small price to pay. It is a two-minute walk from the entrance of the Ocean Inn courtyard until you cross the Hollywood Broadwalk and are on the beach. Walk north along the beautiful beach, past the city park and to the pier. Walk south past the pubs, gift shops and restaurants.
The hotel is mid-century quaint. The rooms are each decorated differently. Our room was clean and the bed was good. The courtyard was a real joy with shade and a family of iguanas in the trees to watch. (Don't worry, they will not get close to you.) All of this for $150 / night including parking is unbeatable in the area. But PLEASE stay somewhere else so that my room will be available!
This is a zero star hotel. It is filthy, has peeling paint on the walls, no carpeting so sand is on the dirty floor. There are loud people on the second floor and I was awakened to beer bottles being thrown with sharp shards of glass that was not cleaned up in the morning. The toilet is pediatric and was filthy with dirty, broken caulk. The door is dirty and has poor seals so it does not feel safe. If you care about your significant other do not bring them there. See pictures for proof.
When we checked in, No one was there so we had to call a phone number to find out what was going on. We were given a room number to go to, which was unlocked and the keys were inside. The TV stand was held up by a 2 x 6 piece of lumber under one side to make up for the missing casters. The bed made a clunking sound when you sat on it. We stayed just long enough to use the wifi to book a different hotel.
