Ochlockonee River Wildlife Management Area reviews
4Depending on the season, good fishing can be had at this river. I typically target white bass and catfish. Pretty cool to see the wild life out there, birds, gators and wild have been spotted regularly
Very nice area lots of old dirt roads to explore that have been blocked to car traffic
Awesome place to run my dog, enjoy the outdoors and watch wildlife.
Also, another review said there are no trails to the river and there are. Just no signs, but a map is usually located on the board just inside the entrance on your left. (Not there anymore). There are even benches along a few places although some could use some upgrades. If you are looking for a park like atmosphere, this is not for you. It's woods, it's trails through wooded areas. There are mosquitoes and bugs, snakes and other critters, along with mud when it rains. A Disney like forest, it is not, but it's a beautiful place.
Would be nice if they added trails to the river. Did the whole loop thing. Couldn't find the river any where.
