OHLA Tampa

I was so impressed at the professionalism of the campus director Paula Pinto. She gave us a tour of the school and you could see the genuine attention and thoughtfulness she had for the students. One by one they make it a point to greet her in the morning and you can tell that she’s someone they look forward to interacting with during their school day.

I sent my daughter to this school last spring. She attended the classes for two months and was supposed to go on a summer break.she asked the DSO of this school if she could stay in the USA, before she went to university, the DSO said yes and nothing else. However after summer break, none of the Universities would give an I-20 document to officially start her studies in the USA. Because the OHLA director told my daughter several times that it was okay to stay after language school, it was late on her status that we both knew that her visa expired and her status wasn't active. She had to comeback to her country to start everything from scratch and had to miss the semester off of her University. Unfortunately, this is not normal for people in charge to disinform someone's child in another country. At the end f the day, neither DSO nor the director of the OHLA assisted my daughter on the process to transfer her I-20.

Very uneducated staff there on this issue, they have no clue about the visas and I-20s or anything related on the international students matter.

They're going to ruin and mislead your child's documents.

PARENTS BEWARE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY ON OHLA.

They don't even deserve this one little star. They ruined my life and my status in the US. Don't walk, RUN. Paid all the tuition, attended the classes, passed the exams. The director of the school misinformed me about the visa and I-20 info. I came here to OHLA to support my I-20, my student status in the USA, however he told me that I could stay in the US during summer and it won't effect on my status. But it was too late, when I contacted my attorney about this situation and realized that my I-20 was expired and the DSO of the OHLA was supposed to inform me. The DSO of this school just misleads the students, doesn't even know what he was talking about, doesn't know anything about documentations of the international students coming to the USA. After that, he didn't even support me or told me how to proceed. He just started to ignore my calls.

If you don't want to be out of status, misled about you documents, about your visa and anything that is close to your files, then please, don't get involved with them.

Also, my teacher couldn't even speak in English properly and didn't know the grammar and some advanced words. Are all schools in the USA have poor teaching system?

If this is the case, what's the point of this language school? Just to get the tuition money from international students?

I had to spend thousands of dollars on attorneys to fix my status, and OHLA staff never admitted what they did to me.

The administrators Ahmed and Paula are the best. They help you if you need anything. Paula is an understanding person and loves to help everyone. She is a very nice person, and the teachers are nice Paula and Ahmed, thank you for everything.

My experience with OHLA Tampa was excellent, for several months I studied in online classes and the teachers were always very dynamic and attentive when there was difficulty in understanding. And pushing us to break through the language.
I highly recommend the OHLA Tampa school to anyone who lives in Tampa and the region!

I did an academic trip to the city of Tampa for five weeks to obtain the English intermediate level. The experience increased my knowledge of the English language and of other cultures the world trough out my classmate. I wish have more time for continue this awesome trip in OHLA! High recommend!

Awful experience with them. I’m talking about how they’re irresponsible and selfish. I asked them to change my teacher multiple times, because my teacher wasn’t responding to me. The staff kept asking me to pay the tuition, of course who wants to pay them, when they don’t even do their own job. The worst treatment i got from them!
Plus the teacher stopped my video several times during the zoom class. But there were students smoking electronic cigarettes during class and the teacher didn’t say anything to them. I tried to reach her. Nothing worked.

Terrible service, very expensive. It's not worth it, they give 2 months of vacation that I'm supposed to pay for without attending. I do not recommend it.
