Okaloosa County Tax Collector reviews
18To an outstanding employee who honestly deserves a huge promotion, raise, etc. Thank you for a terrific Dmv experience, extremely professional, friendly, passionate. Like 10/10 costumer service skills! This girl who I never had the pleasure to get a name from was working from booth 2. I arrived around 430pm 2/8/2023. She helped get my car plated, thank you mystery women! - Antonio
The numbered ticket wait line seems efficient, as customers seemed to circulate through at a steady pace. The service agent I worked with was knowledgeable and friendly. I have been to this office several times in the past few months and was not always paired with someone who knows their job well, giving inaccurate information at times.
For common transactions, this office does a fine job.
Attempted to get my Florida license today. I have an old Indiana license that is only valid because I’m military. Brought the correct paperwork in. Because the clerk can’t read correctly, she told me I needed post deployment paperwork. As the photo shows, if I were trying to RENEW my Indiana license, I would require said paperwork. Considering we’re in FLORIDA and I’m attempting to obtain a Florida license, she’s incorrect. She refused to listen to my side and I was forced to leave without a license.
DMV is about as smooth as you can ask for. I did a walk in and got service pretty quickly. I would recommend going early though.
Correcting paperwork on appraisal and agricultural use was handled quickly without any issues. A return visit from the Okaloosa Courthouse for additional paperwork revealed the use of old letterhead and envelopes containing appraiser name and address of four years prior still in use. We were told they were trying to use up the old letterheads and envelopes. We were visiting from another state to correct paperwork of a deceased individuals estate. The intentional use of outdated letterhead and envelopes is very troublesome and disturbing! It is also misleading and cautions me to question the legality of all at hand.
Absolutely no reason to be closed on "black friday". Not like they discount anyone's bills
No personal service from phone or app customer service rep lazy and will not do anything she doesn’t phoned 4time still have got a simple renewal just the absolutely laziness people I have encountered
I called about some registration questions and spoke with Chris and she was very helpful, professional, saved me a lot of money, and kept me from scammed.
Went in to get my wife a fishing license. Called up to a station and she game them her Florida ID. Agent at the station kept asking for the social security number, inputting it numerous time. They finally when to get help from another agent that was no help at all. Made a call to another location and finally was able to due the fishing license. When getting ready to pay they had charged for a nonresident fee.never said a word about that it was not going be a resident license. Then asked for mail proving the she was a resident, I asked why the state issued ID was not enough proof. Asked to speak to the manager and was told that she was to busy to talk to me.
Went to Walmart and got the license ant the correct price as a resident.
Waiting for over 2 hours with several others. Now where on any of my forms did it state to make an appointment. WHY? People have been coming in and going with their appointmments. Should have took a ticket and ran all my errands, lunch etc.
Currently sitting here. 4 out of 10 stations in use. Showed up for my appointment. Still waiting hours later. The ticket order/list doesn’t update on the screen. No clue if the line is moving or not.
Was the third day since opening for walk-ins. There was a long line when I got there, waiting in line for a while to give my cell number to receive a text when they were ready to see me. I went and got some coffee while waiting to get the text. After receiving the text waited about an hour in the lobby to be seen. It took four hours total time but I was surprised they were able to see me and the people with appointments so even though it was a long wait it was better than waiting a month and a half for an appointment. Service was good as well!
I need to preface this by saying I hate government as much as everyone else. Having said that, every time I have been to this office I have gotten nothing but fantastic service. The individuals working there make wasting my money feel much less painful.
Fantastic phone service! My question was swiftly answered by a friendly and professional representative.
Came here three times within a month every lady that helps me has always got the nastiest attitudes in world. Argue more than help you out its almost like dont really wanna provide a service at all 10/10 would not recommend going here. If you do expect an attitude.
Made an appointment to get my license. Waiting over an hour just to be told to do the test online. I get home and find out that the only people that can take the test online is those under the age of 18. Been on hold for God knows how long just to be told they'll call me back. Been waiting two months for this. I have a 2 month old baby and need to get back and forth. Got screwed over by them.
Very rude phone service, no manners. They act like it is a really big hassle to answer your questions. You also need every piece of paper you’ve ever received just for a reg non drivers license photo Id. So to prove who you are is a real hassle on vacation.
About what you expect from government agency mixed with crestview populace. Overcrowded, under managed, yeah just go to Niceville or Destin. It’s worth the toll to be able to be helped within a 2 week turnaround.
