Okeechobee Airboat Rides reviews
19Awesome experience! We took my parents on their first airboat ride for Christmas Eve. I'm so glad we chose Okeechobee Airboar Rides. He's extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and lake. Even though it was chilly, he found so many alligators! That would be a challenge but he was able to exceed our expectations. Highly recommend.
Today was our 14th wedding anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than an airboat ride on Lake Okeechobee? The experience did not disappoint. We had so much fun following along many of the airboat "paths" through the vegetation along the lake shores. Kenny brought us into some amazing and beautiful locations and was very informative of the bird life and knew right where to find the 'gators even though it was a bit cool outside. The best part was seeing the patio full of the younglings (app. 16 months old). Thank you so much, Okeechobee Airboat Rides, for the unforgettable time we had this morning!
We loved it. Capt Kenny was full of information and knew the best spots to see alligators. Very friendly fellow.
The only way this could have been improved upon is if i had two beers, a pair of pit vipers, and yelled "hell yea brother" to everything the guide said.
Top notch, would recommend
Captain Kenny gave an enjoyable tour with lots of interesting information provided. Highly recommended.
10 out of 10 recommend! I've lived in Okeechobee for two years and this was my first time on the Lake. What a perfect thing to do with family in town! Captain Kenny is a fantastic knowledgeable guide of Lake Okeechobee.
This was so much fun. The captain was knowledgeable & showed us great areas. The wildlife was incredible.
7/23- My brother had never seen Lake Okeechobee, nor a wild alligator, so I though and airboat ride would be a great birthday present. We traveled from WPB early morning, and it was a really nice ride out to Lake “O”. We RSVP’d for a 9: 00am ride. Early mornings are best, and it was a beautiful, clear morning.
Depending on the time of day, heat, and month of the year, you may or may not see any animals. We were lucky this day. We saw a lot of wild life. Many birds, which at times, flew right with us in front of the boat as we glided along. We saw two alligator nests, with the mom present and on guard. We saw quite a lot of baby gators, which float so easily in the water. Captain Ken pointed out many flowers by name and stopped so we could see them up close. He is very knowledgeable about Lake “O”, and can
answer any questions you may have. We even saw a huge invasive Pleco fish up close and personal. This was very cool.
Throughout our 1 ½ hr.tour, we glided along the reeds, in the shallows, and also out on the open water. Captain Ken’s airboat rides are on Lake Okeechobee and not in the rim canal, which is great. The bathroom is not at the ramp area (it is in the park), so I recommend stopping at a gas station right before you get there.
Wear long sleeves and a baseball cap, and also a bit of sunscreen if you burn on your neck, etc. Captain Ken tries very hard to show his guests a good time and it shows. We had a blast. My brother would love to do it again. I highly recommend
Lake “O” charters with Captain Ken.
There's a reason why this business gets great reviews. Captain Kenny is more than just a tour guide. You will learn a lot. No need to go farther south to the glades. Very few tourists. Saved hours on driving, too!
Highly recommend the hour and a half tour. Well worth the money. Our guide was amazing and a lot of fun.
The Okeechobee Airboat Rides with Captain Kenny was fantastic. He took us out in the open water and also in the canals always being sure not to upset the ecological balance of Lake Okeechobee and looked out for the safety of his passengers. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, birds, plants and Lake Okeechobee in general. As Floridians, we were very happy to find someone who could take us to areas we had not been before. We would definitely recommend Kenny and Okeechobee Airboat Rides. Loved having high quality headsets so we could hear Kenny so clearly and a beautiful sunrise on the water.
Excellent day on the water. Taking in the scenery, the boat ride and exploring the Everglades was a blast. Seeing all the birds and gators was the icing on top. Captain Kenny is the man. Well worth the money!
We had an awesome time with Capt. Kenny! Our experience with Okeechobee Airboat Rides more than exceeded our expectations! This is definitely the company to go with for your airboat ride!
We had a great Birthday weekend with Kenny. We own Cruisin' Tikis Treasure Coast and know the hard work it takes to make sure guests have a fun and safe time on the water! Absolutely recommend Kenny
Kenny was simply awesome and even understands Australian sense of humor!
Do the 90 minute tour and you will see loads of wildlife and Gators.
Great ride with Kenny! Saw alligators and lots of birds. The boat ride on the lake was great and Kenny was very knowledgeable about the ecosystem. Definitely worth the drive from St. Lucie.
This is the airboat ride to take. Capt Kenny is very experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to Lake Okeechobee. The baby gators were a plus! We'll definitely do this again.
Kenny was an excellent tour guide. We saw alligators of all sizes, birds, a raccoon, and some bunnies on “bunnie island”. It was a gorgeous day and the 1.5 hr.your was excellent. Highly recommend!
Update: 02/20/2023. We returned for another airboat ride with Captain Kenny, and it was just as good as last year. It’s what we do annually for our anniversary and we’ll continue to do so. I highly recommend doing the 1.5 hour tour. I wish it lasted longer.
