Old Florida Book Shop reviews
16 Very cool vibe! You can find a lot of interesting books here. Especially if you're looking for books for your coffee table, options are plenty.you can also find magazines (Life, Fortune, etc) from 30s, 40s here in good condition, so cool!
Worth to pay a visit especially if you like books.
This is one of those don’t let looks deceive you stores! From outside, it’s an unassuming shopping plaza with books out front for $1. When you open the doors it’s like transforming to another world. With over 40,000 books, maps, and more I was a bit overwhelmed but so excited. Some books are super rare others signed by the author. This is a special place! Definitely recommend visiting atleast once.
Great selection of collectible editions. You can find: Limited Edition Club, Heritage Press, Folio Society, Easton Press and Franklin Edition. Most if them in pristine conditions. I will get back once a month.
This is the very best store for a book lover. Owner and staff are superb! Worth every minute spent here. Go!
Magical place.you would never guess how otherworldly it is inside Much love to this book shop for being my little escape from reality!
An amazing place.a treasure trove of not only old books of diverse genre but antique paraphernalia as well. And what would an old book shop be without a resident kitty! I will be going back there.
Super rude guy, owner? Never going to go there. Called to ask about possible books that may have increased value. He told me to call him back. Called back later and he was rude again said he was busy. Guess what your not a nice person and you chase people away with that behavior shame on you
Very neat book store. Lots of old books from floor to ceiling. They have a $1 book section outside that remains on honor system 24 hrs. And the bookstore has a beautiful mascot, Peter the cat. Worth a visit to just look or pick up a book for purchase. Definitely a unique find and worth the stop.
This is a special gem for book lovers! You can spend hours here looking around and not realize the time that passed. Will be back regularly!
What a cool place! Definitely stop by and give it a look! Lots of old first edition books and old magazines
I was like a kid in a candy store. There are so many titles to look thru, but take your time. It's a treasure hunt for your next great read.
What a magical little place. If you love books and exploring cool places, this ones for you. Staff is very nice, and it's like something out of a movie inside. Outside is a regular small plaza, but inside, it's a different world.
Antique style book shop. There are all kinds of books, and even my daughter found one for her to read. The owner is on site, and he was very kind. My only wish was the place to be a bit bigger to sit and read comfortably.
Find me on IG as @divine.southflorida
What a neat gem! From the quirky "leave a dollar" for the books you buy outside to the stunning transformation into an amazing literary wonderland on the inside.and of course they have an amazing cat. We really loved the cat.
You have e to stop by. You are not going to believe how cool this place is. Tiny isles but LOADED! Reasonable
What an incredible find! For anyone who is a self-declared bibliophile, this will be your DisneyLand!
In an unassuming strip mall, this gorgeous book-cave of wonders unveils its hidden treasures the minute you walk through the door!
I could have spent the entire day here, tbh! From just the massive amount and variety of books (old, new, and everything in between), to the aesthetic that makes you feel like you've not only wandered into a different era, but a different place altogether; reminiscent of rustic bookshops you might find abroad or in NYC w/its floor to ceiling shelves housing antique tomes and modern page-turners.there is honestly something here for everyone and anyone from collector to bookworm!
The owner was super nice; he will leave you to your perusing, but is readily available for questions or just to share info on any book, relic, or whatever you find to ask about.
I left with 3 books and bargain bin find 1836 handpainted/sketched lithograph from a Parisienne magazine for under $30!?
The quality, ambiance, and fun finds are just unparalleled here; honestly one of the BEST hidden bookstore gems in the US!
