Old Hat Fishing Charters, Miami Beach FL

Had a great time fishing with Captain Chad and deck hand Nano. We had some young first-time deep water fishing kids with us. Captain Chad kept us on the fish and Nano kept us and the boys informed and entertained. The highlight was catching the shark. Thanks for the good time.

We booked a shark fishing charter and hooked up within the first hour, a large bull shark. We had another hook up but unfortunately spit the hook after a 25 min fight. We also caught a mixture of other fish from bottom fishing. The trip was great and I would recommend the charter and will for sure come back.

Had an absolute blast with Captain Chad and Nano. They made our first charter experience exciting and fun. They were detailed, organized, explained, and taught us a lot. It was definitely a great time with them, they even cleaned our fish and gave great tips on cooking each type of fish.

Highly recommend old-hat fishing for any saltwater adventure with 6 or less people.just the 2 of us caught 22 fish in the course of 4 hours, 1 large barracuda, 2 good size mackerel, 5 colorful tuna, 1 large snapper and a multitude of small colorful fish including a strawberry grouper. Nice knowledgeable Crew.
The air conditioned indoor environment included 2 comfortable chairs, a couch, a TV, a radio, and spacious bathroom. I wish i could’ve enjoyed the air conditioning longer but it seemed that every time i sat down a fish was on. The boat is equipped with 8 rods, advanced underwater mapping technology, and bluetooth speakers. The top deck also has extra seating with great views of the city.

Best Fishing experience ever for me and my Boys! Great adventure! Can wait for the winter! HATS OFF TO THEM BOYS!

Captain Chad and first mate Nano are amazing! From the second we met them at the dock they were professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly and safety oriented. We did a four hour morning charter and our faces hurt from smiling by the end of the trip. Would highly recommend for anybody wanting to fish in Miami. It was the highlight of our trip! Wow! Everything you would expect. We went catching not fishing! The boat was in great shape, clean and fully functioning. The captain and first mate were friendly and expert fishermen. The whole family had a great time.

On May 22 while in Miami for a convention our customer invited us to a 1/2 day fishing trip with Old Hat Fishing Charters and we had a great time. Captain Chad and Nano did an outstanding job and the 6 of us could not have had more fun. To top it off everyone caught fish. The boat, the fishing tackle, and the professionalism of the crew were all outstanding! I hope in the very near future I again have the opportunity to go fishing with Captain Chad. I highly recommend Old Hat Charters.

We had a great time on our trip this weekend. Capt Chad and Brett were fantastic and very knowledgeable. Some on our trip had never been fishing, and were pleasantly surprised how much fun deep sea fishing can be. The entire experience from before we went on board to when we stepped off, was so relaxing and exciting. The boat was so clean and the cabin was cool and comfy. We caught so many fish, but even if we didn't catch fish, the trip would have been a success. Watching the dolphin swim was the icing on the cake. We highly recommend Old hat. Capt Chad knows where to go and how to get there with ease!

The absolute best! Did a full day trip with Capt. Chad and was not disappointed. He put us on the fish and we had a blast. As a S. Floridian I highly recommend and will definitely repeat!

I went out on two charters with Old Hat and both trips were awesome. Chad and Nano went above and beyond to try and find fish, land fish and ensure we were having a great time. On the first day we didn’t have much success trolling. We ended up bottom fishing and had success landing multiple golden tile fish. Chad and Nano were determined to help us land a few and after losing a number of bites we found success. We then changed tactics to jigging and hooked a couple vermillion reds.

The next day we had a lot of success trolling and, we’re able to land multiple
Bonita’s and a really nice black fin tuna.

They cleaned and filleted the fish for us, leaving us with a great meal and great memories.

Captain Chad had a great eye for putting us on top of fish, and his mate Nano kept our lines working all day! They were a great team and gave us a fishing trip we will never forget!
