Old Town Trolley Tours St Augustine reviews
21 These guys do their job very well.
The only observation is: stay on top of maintaining the wagons. The last ride of the day today was a killer. It got me exhausted.
Really great tour and really priced well.should extend hrs though as there just is not enough time in the day to see it all and you will want to get off and on believe me
I give 4 stars because on the trip you go pass by the same place more then one time and is too long! But is very interesting to learn about Saint Agustine. With all the heat and traffic is like never ending. I think the best time to really enjoy this attraction is during fall, winter and spring time, no during summer.
Nice to see all the spots; the driver we had was great; however the 45 min wait to get back on the trolley was not very good. Should have more trolleys for peak visits.
It's a good place to start your day! Try for one of the old seasoned drivers who have a lot of different and knowledge of the city.
Trolley drivers all friendly and great guides. I found the trolley a bit more difficult to maneuver because of the "maybe -tire wells", sometimes narrower space between seats and step up height. I had twisted my knee just before the trip (of course!)
Trolley ride was perfect for tourists to get the lay of the land but it's a bit expensive, and our guide complained constantly that people were talking too much, although no one in our car was talking.
If you're just going for the guided tour than it's not bad but the price is pretty high for what it is. Don't bother to use this for the hop on / hop off feature, it stops running pretty early and if you park in the big garage, you're a short walk to anywhere you want to go and its open 24 hours a day for a flat rate.
Our personal experience was just okay. It was great to see all the history there is in St. Augustine. Unfortunately our guide at times visibly struggled to remember some of the information. The constant talking, which was very loud at times, didn't help (please know at one point he adjusted his intro to include keeping personal conversations to a minimum). He really struggled to stay focused when this was going on. These combined definitely effected our trip. Thankfully we were at the very front and therefore still able to hear most of what was said (sidenote: the front should only have two people who can sit comfortably). With this I still recommend the tour. The stops alone make it worth it. Plus I did hear other guides who were doing a great job.
Very nice tour. The driver's were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see St Augustine.
Over crowded, often couldn't get on a trolley because it was full. What's the point of hop on hop off if you can never get back on?
Prepare for a looong ride. The drivers don't stop talking the entire ride and yell at your party if they start talking. If you listen hard you can make out what the driver is saying but be prepared to miss some and not be able to ask about it.
We bought 6 trolley tickets for a day of sightseeing in St Augustine. We only got to see 2 attractions because we waited for the trolley most of the day. With 2 small kids- this is just awful! Each trolley stop was about 1 hour waiting! When trolleys did come by, people did not get off! Please add more trolleys to the daily tour. People pay good money to ride these and don’t want to wait in the hot sun all day to ride one! Note that at Christmas trolleys are plentiful! This is ridiculous! Don’t waste your time or money on this service!
Expensive! Not enough trolleys running. You can't even get onto the trolley at most stops because they are already full.
Parking is at a premium here so buying trolley tickets seemed to be the solution. Not only did they have 20 plus stops, but you got a narrated history of the town. You can hop off and on at every location as they come at 10 to 15 minute intervals. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes every time we were ready to revised. Good timing maybe but I’ll take it. Will definitely use them again the next time I visit.
A great way to see the city of St Augustine. It stops at all the main attractions. Shout out to Big Red! He was awesome.
This was a great tour! Very informative and what they offer is worth the money. I love the concept of the 22 stops and being able to hop on and off. I want to highlight a staff member there named Molly who works at the oldest store museum. She was absolutely the best! All the staff was friendly and welcoming but she touched my heart! My elderly dad loved her the most out of all the tours that we did that day and yes we toured the Flagler college also. We love the tour and we appreciate Molly.
Had fun cruising around downtown St. Augustin with the family. My 1yr old daughter had no problem going through all 22 stops the trolley makes along the way.
This is a great way to tour downtown St. Augustine without having to do the driving yourself. All of the stress of driving is eliminated so you have time to focus on the sites.
