O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill reviews
17We had cocktails in front of the hotel in front of the pool and sitting there having a wonderful time the hotel Hilton I cannot say enough thank you you have been so wonderful to me and my husband. And that is our gay community thank you.
Cute little tiki hut right on Sarasota Bay, but when they don't or won't even show their drink prices, stand by for a royal shafting.
I would like it better if they had regular tables rather than picnic tables. Prices were good. You have to order at the counter and pick it up when it's ready. However, we really enjoyed being on the water and we will definitely return.
I’m so surprised this place has 4 star review. We came here from out of town after looking at the reviews and online menu. When we got here, found out the menu doesn’t even have half of the items from the online menu which is pretty disappointing. THEN we find out we have to wait in line for 30+ minutes just to order food from the bar. Then they give you a buzzer and you have to go back up there and pick up your own food! If I would have known I was going to do all the work I absolutely wouldn’t have gone here to pay $70 for subpar food. My mahi-mahi tacos were so dry and flavorless I couldn’t even eat two bites. The only reason I gave two stars is for the good drinks and pretty view even though it was SO windy to really enjoy, but that’s not their fault.
Was really nice and relaxing at the picnic tables. Nice atmosphere with live music. No problems finding a parking spot.
I just love this place! Since we moved to Sarasota, this have been the local bar to go. The entire staff is amazing and now us by first name. The bar staff is absolutely the best, and Terri one of the managers is friendly, great attitude, loves dogs and always gives dogs treats when the place is not slammed! The views at this place are breathtaking. The music on Weekends great. The drinks made by the wonderful staff amazing. My dog Rocket loves it there too!
We love O’Leary’s. We come most Friday evenings. The only thing I would like to ask/suggest to O’Learys is if the volume of the live music could be lowered just slightly. We love coming here but the music is SO loud. It would be perfect just a little lower. How it is now it feels like you’re in a club. Barely can hear the people you’re trying to have conversations with.
Very beautiful beach tiki bar that we discovered on the water. Tons of outdoor seating. For the food and drinks you go up to order, which was a little bit of a wait due to the long lines. Food here is really good!
We ordered the fried shrimp, Curley fries, fried alligator and mozzarella sticks. Highly recommend coming here!
Location is everything and that's what you pay for. Food does not live up to Sarasota 's amazing food and it's disappointing. Stop for a beer and the sights but take you appetite elsewhere.really, you will thank me for that advice.
New place to me, bf had been there before. He had cheese burger, he like it. My chips were a tad stale, salsas was a bit too spicy for me. Not a fan of spicy but that’s me.
Gorgeous view from outdoor seating and excellent food. The manager came to our table to let us know the GF tortillas were unavailable and worked with us to make an acceptable substitute. I honestly think my meal ended up better for the substitution - so to any fellow gluten-sensitive plant based folks, I highly recommend the garden quesadilla filling served over spring mix with the hummus on the side. So yummy!
If you're looking for a causal environment for a cocktail on the beach, look around and realize that O'Leary's is the spot for you. A kind, responsive staff will tend to all of your tropical needs, and you aren't gonna break your wallet enjoying the world class scenery. I mean, its 80 degrees in December.how do you complain about that?
7 out of 5 stars.find me and you might get a free drink.
Cheers
After waiting in line for over 30 minutes the manager came to announce that some could move to the 2nd line for ordering. There should be a sign or host to tell you this. The food and drinks were good as well as the atmosphere. It was busy due to holiday weekend but we had a great time with our dog setting outside.
If you’re into bland, precooked, Sysco produced food, this is your place! Disappointed in quality and taste, but views are nice and the staff is too.
Beautiful tiki place on the beach. Great family atmosphere.live music and you can bring your dog! Looks like a place in a movie at night. Love it!
This was a very friendly place with excellent food. First time I had alligator bites and they were GOOD.music was good. Very nice time. Will come back for sure
Every time I come down to Sarasota which is about 5 times a year I come to o'leary's. I've loved this place from day one. But the past couple of times I've come here I don't know if it's a sign of The Times or new management, The food has not been as fresh and the portions got skimpy. But we still keep coming, Great view great environment great service.
