One Flight Up reviews
18 Love this place. Balcony view is great and the inside is cozy. I love the tomato basil soup, the turkey sandwich, and the salmon Caesar. Great if you have simple clean tastes in food.
I see a lot of complaints on service but haven’t had an issue personally, it’s always been friendly and quick. It is a seat yourself and pay at the counter service model, so if that’s not your scene, don’t go and then complain about it
My only critique would be for southerners to avoid the sweet tea, it’s instant and not great. Other than that, a great place for a lunch date or to share a platter and some drinks with friends:)
Our lunch on the balcony was delicious. I’m always looking for a good chicken salad sandwich and this was one of the best I’ve ever had. The AC was on inside and there were misters out on the shady balcony. The staff was very friendly, too
We love this place. Great views, and art work throughout the building. Great food, and drinks. There was live music as well.
This is such a great place to meet and eat. Lots of little rooms and an amazing Terrance. Well worth a visit.
I've been here a few times for their coffees, but we got to try their menu. I enjoyed their caprese salad with toffeenut oatmilk latte. She enjoyed their turkey sandwich and tomato soup with a frozen chai. Our service was great from start to finish.
Great little spot for soups, sandwiches and salads. We split the turkey sandwich. We were hungry so forgot to take a pic of the sandwich. Haha
I come here all the time. Very good service and a cozy atmosphere. Cheesey onion dip is amazing. They use fresh deli meat on the sandwiches and the egg sandwich is very filling. Not to mention the delicious frozen chai latte and blueberry muffins. But today I had a turkey Swiss sandwich to split with my daughter and the onion dip. It was perfect to share for two people. Great lunch. The bread is fresh and fluffy. Overall a great sandwich.
The best coffee in Mount Dora! Thanks Andrea and Amanda for your excellent service. The place is great, food is great, service is great. Very nice people. I’ll be back!
Great spot in Mount Dora once you climb the stairs leaving behind the 90° weather. Staff is super friendly and pleasant. We were super hungry after checking in at an Airbnb two blocks down and we ordered take out. The Turkey Sandwiches were delicious and more than one person can consume and the quiche did not disappoint. Only one picture of our food due to being famished and devouring our meals.
Our first time here. Stopped in for a quick, early breakfast. Quaint dining areas, with the patio being the primary draw. It offers a wonderful view of the downtown Mount Dora strip. Downside is dependant upon the weather; it was a bit humid and the fans don't provide quite enough air. The food was good. The quiche Lorraine was savory but not overly salty or leaving you feeling heavy. The portions were on the smaller side for the price, but being in the downtown Mount Dora area one can expect tourist prices somewhat. We would definitely go back and try some lunch options.
We come every year to this Cafe and it's our favorite. Fresh food and nice atmosphere, with a choice of the outdoor deck looking at the bustling street, or indoors. We'll be back again!
Great coffee and frozen chai! We had the lobster bisque and a chicken salad sandwich, super good. I have eaten here in the past and it’s always been delicious. It’s a cute place with a cute view of the Main Street here in mount dora
Nice place to have a meeting nice views and calming you could also go work here or find a nice place to write
It was a great breakfast as always. Love their Quiche Lorraine and then top it off with a cinnamon bun. Delicious!
5/18/23. It's still a great place to go. Sitting on the balcony for early breakfast is so enjoyable.
A must stop in Mount Dora. Quiche Lorranine and Chai tea did not disappoint. The husband's breakfast sandwich and coffee was tasty too, he was very content with his choice. Served quickly, great presentation of food and overall great service.
Charming upstairs eatery open fairly early (as Mt Dora goes) with a balcony view of Donnelly Street. During any town events, this spot fills up quickly, so the best time to enjoy it is just as soon as it opens. The bread pudding is pricey ($7.50 for a little single-serving ramekin) but absolutely delicious! Pet-friendly. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Our experience was great! We were out on a birthday celebration and stopped in for dessert. We ended up being hungrier than we thought and ordered 3 dip appetizers, as well. All looked freshly made and were delicious! We got the Cheesy Onion, Hummus, and the fish dips. For dessert we split the warm apple pie ala mode and the blueberry cheesecake crumble. They were both delicious and we scraped the bowls! Portions were very generous and reasonably priced. The only small criticism would be tortilla chips were slightly stale, but could have been due to the humidity outside. Our server Braeden was great, he was so personable and great to deal with. We were checked on frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Will be back more often, for sure!
Great little artsy place to eat. Love it. Will be back when in Mount Dora again. Had the chicken salad, nice and flavorful
