Orange County Convention Center - West Concourse reviews
21Went to the Van Gogh immersion experience, very impressive.facility is huge (2nd largest in the U. S.) but parking was available ($10) on site. Great time down on International Drive.
Great convention center with ample parking and many restaurants nearby. You can also walk around and enjoy the scenic area.
Orange County Convention Center is located on International Drive. It is one of the top destinations for trade shows in the USA. The facilities are beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very professional.
Crazy amount of walking to get to West Concourse area from parking area. Not enough signage in building. No staff to help direct you along route only cardboard signs with arrows. Most hand sanitizer units were empty. It looked like an empty mall. Restrooms were big enough with multiple stalls and very clean. Carpeting and glass on entry doors throughout the building were all clean.
Very nice place, but I have been a few time for events and it is always confusing to find the event directional signs are not very helpful
Parking for Van Gogh exhibit was horrendous. Poorly lit and terrible signage. Then literally a half mile walk through the convention center with my disabled wife. Inexcusable!
We were here to see the VanGogh experience. I would give 5 stars because this show was beautiful. My only problem would be that I am limited when it comes to walking long distances. I cannot express how large this facility is and how far we had to walk! I'm not exaggerating when I saw a few miles. When we arrived we asked someone at the gate where the best entrance was for me because I have a bum ankle. He did not tell us there was a shuttle bus so we crossed the facility inside to go to the other complete side. When we left someone noticed my struggle walking and directed us to a shuttle. Bless that man. We caught the last shuttle back to our parking area.
Staff was perfect for convention center, Break Time cafe was not. I paid for a chicken ceaser wrap which lists, sun dried tomato, creamy Caesar dressing as you look at the pics neither was present. I notified staff who assured me they would make me another correctly, also I requested dressing (just in case) bear in mind we had 15 min intermission for Nutcracker. I opened my newly made wrap, no dressing, no tomatoes. And staff let me know, No food was allowed in theater, so we wound up throwing it away.
The recent car show at the convention center was the worst I have ever seen. A hand full of exhibitors, no concept cars, Chevy didn't even show up. Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep didn't have a Challenger or Hellcat and no Fiats. Ford had the best display. Other than some driving experiences there was little to do. Not even a vendor hawking the newest polish or glass cleaner. They should have let people in for free after paying $10.00 to park. Not the convention centers fault. This falls directly on the Central Florida Auto Dealers Association for doing a crummy job of putting on a miserable show. Time for new leadership
It was amazing as every year when they hold meetings and conventions! Customer service is great, amenities, and accommodations. I honestly was missing come to this place after two years of being closed due to the pandemic. I'm glad to see this place open again doing great business!?
I shared the wonderful experience of Immersive Van Gogh! It was a truly awesome show*:)! We did a lot of walking, but it was truly worthwhile!
Very thrilling. **
Why are the loading docks closed? Trying to deliver gear was painful this go round, bit the staff was quite helpful. Also, $20 to park is a little steep.
Great Great venue. I was thoroughly impressed with the size and layout! The architecture was nice to. Everything was clean and kept up.
It's what I would expect from a Convention Center. They could have had more signage which would be more helpful but otherwise it's okay. I wouldn't recommend eating at the site because the food is standard and it's overpriced.
It was a nice convention. We stopped here to see my sister-in-law in the Mr. OLYMPIA WORLD FITNESS COMPETITION. She won a few times, and we know she will win again. We are so proud of her.
Came for Megacon 2021! Was not disappointed. Clean, well-kept space, with masks required. Thank you for keeping our safety in mind and helping us protect the most vulnerable among us.
The event itself was well-organized and super fun. Sad that so many celebrities canceled but really can't blame them. We made the best of it regardless.
See you next year!
Attended for megacon 2021. Multiple days. Very spacious, kept clean. Staff of the center were very helpful to guests and attendees. If your con / event is being held here the location is definitely top notch. Bus options for transport. Easy to walk to from neighboring parking garages.
Stunning architecture! Beautiful pathways of lush plants and trees as you approach very clean and well maintained. Parking was crazy but they provided very comfortable air conditioned transportation to and from the event.
I love comic con it's always a great time and now with covid affecting the world I love that we can still do it an they keep u safe with there cleaning and precautions between people buying things and sellers
Great place for a large event. Came here 3 days in a row for MegaCon. Plenty of parking although getting in and out is tough. Would've been nice to purchase a 3 day parking pass ahead of time or the 1st day instead of going through the line 3 each day.
There are lots of bathrooms, concessions and other services available
