Orchid Club, Ocala FL

An awesome gated community. It's pretty much a self sufficient city inside of a city.well kept neighborhoods full of nice homes and very clean and well manicured lawns and all of the roadways and sidewalks have very crisp straight edging keeping the lines very visible

Lived in Oak Run for 3 years. It might have been nice years ago but now, not so much. Oak Run is full of people who spend their time gossiping about others. No diversity of any type. It's nice to not be there anymore. I would never live in a 55 plus community again.

I moved here about a year ago. I researched the 55+ communities in the area and Oak Run is by far the best community for the monthly service fee. I think some people move into a 55+ community or other similar community without realizing how they operate. I'm happy living in Oak Run and I have great neighbors. Someone else commented about "old people everywhere" which I find amusing since this is a 55+ community.

I have the DECCA Digital 100 MB cable which works without issue for me. I replaced the outdates internal wiring in my home with cable that meets the standard for high-speed internet and as a result, the internet service is great. It is higher priced that other options but then the other options for me would be significantly slower speed.

Oak Run is current doing a complete upgrade on the Island Club and the 3 pools in that area. It has taken several months but I expect the upgrade to be well worth the inconvenience of this location being out of service.

The Oak Room Bar & Grill is currently undergoing expansion to add a new bar area. I look forward to this new addition.

None of the 3 spas are working at the Orchid Club. The island club is closed for renovations. Poor management and maintenance of the amenities.

I love living hear. It's quiet most people are nice the pools are great. Some of their other services are lacking. Cable and internet way too expensive and not competitive. Thier customer support is lacking at times. The decoration restrictions can be over the top but over all I really like it here.

Oak Run is a wonderful place. The facilities are always clean and have all been remodeled, (that is the only time they have been closed after the Covid related health concerns in 2019-20) the added security gate system was to enhance the control over the access to the community, there are still live guards on site. There is always going to be a handful of people who want everything for nothing. Fees are low here compared to other 55+ that are more for less. Go see for yourself, they opened the restaurant and Golf course to public at certain times with reservations.

Great golf coarse wonderful people. Just a beautiful atmosphere. I can assure, you will love it here.

Moved here 5 years ago and at the time, it was wonderful.then things started to change.security disappeared.then the pools became dirtier.prices for the sub-standard cable started to rise.the over flow parking lot prices doubled in one month.homeless washing their clothes in the jacuzzi. I'll be looking to leave here and move to a place where I'll get value for my money very soon.

Oak run use to be a nice place.until Pria took over.she is a slum lord.her parents would be ashamed of what she has done to it.taken many amminetys away from.but she lives in a brand new 2 story house with all the latest and greatest. Stay away from oak Run.its a disgrace.wish I could put 0 stars. Decca cable is horrible.take away channels constantly.but raise the rates.internet is just as bad. ABSOLUTE TRASH.

This subdivision is always well manicured and taken care of. Since they have HOA you don't see junk or trash anywhere. There are many options for active adults, golf course, pools, basketball court, bacci courts, tennis courts, crafts, events, etc. Most people are friendly. The place is safe and it requires every visitor to use their driver's license as ID before getting in.

Need road reflectors at front entrance. Difficult to see roadway when turning from sr200 onto 110th at night and onto 89th av from 110th St.

Only got a chance to play six holes paid for 18 had a family emergency they wouldn’t reimburse me or give me a rain check for the other nine Tough love here…

Nice gated community, very clean. They have nice pools for exercising and big community centers.

Great community to live in. Watched the Super Bowl on a huge screen at one of the four community centers. Fun!

Oak Run is a great, 55+ gated community to live. The amenities offer a golf course and an assortment of club houses and pools, events and plenty of things to do if you want to. This is the place to live in Central Florida!

Beautiful place to live for the 55+. Tree lined roads, greenery every where, and very peaceful environment.

HOA apparently are not enforcing the rules. Too many yards and homes are not maintained. It is bringing down the community. It's a shame.

I live in Oak Run it is the most beautifulest community I think here in Ocala this is only one of the three outdoor pools that we have it has recently been renovated and it is absolutely beautiful. Hot Fun in the Summertime. What can I say it's an adult playground 55 and up community.
