It seems that the staff has issues with each other all ways talking about each other and marking some employees feeling not welcome to work there if they can't get along with each other how can they get along with the residents they should just do ther jobs and leave each other alone

The level of neglect is astounding and shameful. I am filing an Agency for Healthcare Complaint against them today 11/06/2023. This was a 4.5 Star facility when it was Glen Oaks, then it was bought and changed to Orchid Cove and went downhill fast. The RN won't even acknowledge you when your standing in front of her trying to alert them to a urgent health matter. I pray everyone at that corporation ends up like their patients.

First of all, since professionalism was not given, I decided to leave a review. The staffer “Sean” is very unprofessional along with the ignorant Lady who sits at the front desk. I am an agency worker who worked a shift at this facility. All time sheets are to be filled out by a nurse but on this particular day, a CNA took it upon herself to go get a time slip and filled it out for me. PAUSE! I am to fill my own time slip out! This CNA Falsified the time on my slip which started a small argument because I wouldn’t accept it. I then proceed to contact the agency I work for and made them aware of the situation. Upon walking to the front where the blank time slips can be found, I noticed the CNA taped the time slip she filled out, onto the front desk window. I removed the time slip and brought the matter to Ms. Deb’s attention who then asked had I completed my charting. I let her know that I had not because I don’t have a charting log-in. She reached out to the person who’s responsible for assigning the log-ins which Is “SEAN” or shall I say “RUDE SEAN”, however his name is spelled! Ms Deb let Sean know I didn’t have a log-in. By text, he responded to her cellphone that I was lying, called me a liar and stated I just didn’t want to do it. I was actually viewing the texts while standing next to Ms. Deb. It is his job to give all employees a log in to chart, the shifts I worked every time I came started at 7pm and at that time the staffer Sean and all office personnel are gone home for the day which contradicts his lie that I had a log-in, in which I did not because we never met sir. Thanks to Ms Deb I was now given a log-in set up by him over her cell phone through her, meaning I still never spoke with him. I completed my charting and my time slip was then signed and with the correct time for me as I had completed 2 shifts and not just 1. Recently, I was notified that I have been placed on DNR “DO NOT RETURN” by Sean and after contacting him on today to know of why, once again a display of unprofessionalism was given then I was hung up on. No respect as a human was given and one thing he said was the lady at the front desk said I was rude to her, when in fact the lady at the front desk was rude to me, she doesn’t even know how to greet you, doesn’t smile or nothing just acts as if she’s dead unless my color made her feel she didn’t want to act like a front desk personnel should! After hearing what the staffer had to say, I was not given a clear chance to speak back and it’s one thing to lie but to be unprofessional is another. Please do your job and have the charting log-ins READY for the employees who work there temporarily or permanently, this will avoid you having to be called at 5 in the morning so that the new overnight staff can chart and go home!

When this place used to be Glen Oaks, it was the best care for my client. Since 2020, Orchid Cove has been, the worst, by far, nursing facility to work with. It's all about the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. No one says anything to you. You try to call and no one picks up. If you go to visit after hours, it takes an act of God for someone to come to the door and let you in. And when they do let you in, they look at you as you are the ground they walk on.
Although most of the facilities nowadays are awful, this one takes the cake.
The turnover there is unreal. A new admin, Social worker, and exec director each month. It goes to show what you are working with and how they treat your residents. I wish my client had enough money for a caregiver to come in and sit with her. It's so sad.
Stay away!

My mother resided at this facility for 5 months. She was not bathed well. She smelled horrible often and hair was dirty often. They made her eat in her bed and rarely cut up her food. She is 84 with dementia and has a lot of trouble doing things and needed assistance. I was witness to one Med error and caught a second but also felt there were far more errors because of how mom would be when I would see her. After we moved her she wasn’t like how she was at this place. For a long time hot meals were cold and when I would ask about it they would look at me like I was asking for too much. They stuffed her in her wheelchair and took her ability to walk away. She now walks now that she’s out of there. Patio and courtyard are filthy. Cigarette butts and food thrown out into the grass. No attention to any landscape maintenance. Administrative staff has extremely high turnover- so bad that it is frightening. Staff are loud even at night. No respect for the residents sleeping or even during the day. We had a few who I felt were very good but so many staff members were just not good at all and several were very cruel. Very little activities were done if any at all. It’s a very sad place and not where you want your loved one to take their last breath. I just feel there are far better places to put your loved one. Keep looking and don’t settle for this place. It was a true nightmare for me and my mom suffered at this place. I know because after I moved her she is off all the meds they kept her on because she now has a better quality of life and doesn’t need the mood stabilizer meds any longer. Any good reviews make no sense because I was there every day and even many evenings and saw it all very clearly.

Great staff. Only thing I think needs to change is the up keep of the building.it's very old looking inside and needs up dating as in floors, paint, electric bed.yes they have alot of crank beds, haven't used them since the 70s.corporate needs to help the staff by doing these updates then it would be a great place
