I recently had glaucoma surgery with Dr. Perez and he definitively saved my vision. I was seen by another glaucoma specialist in town who keep telling me that my pressure was OK but my vision kept getting worse. I had surgery with Dr. Perez and now my pressure are low and don’t need to use drops anymore.

I was suggested by my optometrist to see another physician for cataract surgery, but after reading reviews, I chose to see Dr. Perez. I'm glad I took action. My recuperation from surgery was swift, and I had no pain at all. My eyes felt a little bit dryer than usual following surgery, but I only needed to use lubricating drops for a few weeks. I suggest this physician to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I had intermittent headaches and eye pain for years while receiving treatment for migraines. However, Dr. Perez used a laser in his clinic to treat me for narrow angles and excessive eye pressure. I no longer require pain medication because my headaches have disappeared. He and his employees have my gratitude.

I had cataract surgery from Dr. Perez, and I'm so happy I did! I decided to go with the more costly laser and multifocal lens option! Although a little costly, it is well worth it!

My regular ophthalmologist quickly recommended me to Dr. Perez because I had elevated ocular pressure. In less than a week, he implanted a glaucoma device, lowering and controlling my blood pressure. My eyes no longer hurt, and my vision has improved. I heartily suggest Dr. Perez to anyone with glaucoma problems.

I like Dr. Perez as a person and fellow veteran. I prefer to see him instead of having to deal with the VA eye clinic

Wend to see Dr. Perez urgently after getting a piece of metal in my eye. The ED tried removing it but they were unsuccessful. Dr. Perez removed it painlessly and quickly. Recommended.

My cataract surgery was successful and easy. I had a premium lens to correct astigmatism and can see without glasses for the first time in my life. I highly recommend this office!

Dr. Perez performed cataract surgery on me a month ago and I can't believe the difference in my vision. Now I can see far and near without glasses and the colors are brighter than ever. I recommend this doctor to anyone needing cataract surgery.

Unfortunately I cannot review the doctor as I never got the opportunity to meet him. My appointment was at 9am I ended up being 7 minutes late due to life circumstances. I did however call the office to both verify the address and inform them that I would be 5 or so minutes late to my appointment. Willomena, the office manager told me on that call that it would be fine so I drove 30 minutes to the office. When I exited the highway with 4 minutes left before reaching the office, Willomena called me back to tell me that I needed to have arrive 15 minutes before my appointment, which would mean my appoint was not at 9am as scheduled but 8: 45. I went to the office anyway to ask why she had told me to come into the office knowing that I wouldn't make it by 8: 45. She was less than empathetic for the time and gas she wasted. Willomena became loud and over talked me. I was told that the policy was texted to me; however I didn't see it. No one called me to confirm the appointment which is my preferred method of communication. Again, I called the office well before the appointment to alert them of my timing issue and was told to come in anyway. Willomena has a horrible attitude and is not respectful of the time people take off from work or the inflated gas prices. Instead of acknowledging her mishap she doubled down on her disrespect. I had already completed all requested paperwork and uploaded a copy of my insurance card. There was nothing else to do. Willomena said they needed to verify my insurance,
but had all of the information needed to do so for 3 days. I was referred to the office my my optometrist. If Willomena is the front face of the office then it is safe to assume she is a reflection of the doctor.

Regrettably, I am unable to provide a review of the doctor, as regrettably, I did not have the opportunity to personally engage with the practitioner. My scheduled appointment was slated for 9: 00 AM; however, due to unforeseen life circumstances, I arrived seven minutes tardy. In a proactive effort to maintain transparency, I contacted the office prior to my scheduled appointment time, both to validate the office's location and to apprise them of my anticipated slight delay. During this initial conversation with Willomena, the office manager, she conveyed her approval for my intended arrival time, thus prompting my 30-minute journey to the office.

Shortly before reaching the office after exiting the highway, I received a call from Willomena, who then informed me that I was required to be present 15 minutes in advance of my originally scheduled 9: 00 AM appointment, thus revising it to 8: 45 AM. This sudden alteration led me to inquire upon my arrival at the office, seeking clarification as to why I was directed to attend despite the improbability of reaching the adjusted time. Regrettably, Willomena's response lacked empathy and instead was marked by an increased vocal intensity that overshadowed my attempt to engage in a constructive conversation.

It was mentioned that the office's policy had been transmitted to me via text, although I had not been privy to such information. My preferred mode of communication for appointment confirmations is via phone call, and regrettably, no such call was made. To emphasize, I took the initiative to call the office well in advance of my appointment to convey my anticipated delay, and I was explicitly advised to proceed with my visit.

My overarching concern pertains to Willomena's disposition, which I found to be lacking in respect for the value of individuals' time away from work commitments and the prevailing high fuel prices. Rather than acknowledging the misunderstanding, she chose to uphold her stance. It is pertinent to note that I had duly completed all requested documentation and provided a copy of my insurance card well in advance. There appeared to be no further procedural requirements. Despite the availability of all necessary insurance information for a duration of three days, Willomena cited the need for insurance verification.

I was referred to this office by my optometrist, and I cannot help but infer that Willomena's conduct may be indicative of the overall atmosphere and professional ethos of the practice, including that of the doctor in question.

As answer to your reply.
My mom is a patient and we called early this morning asking for an emergency appointment. She has glaucoma in an advance stage and she woke up with her left eye red as blood, with extreme pain, blurry vision. We called today asking to see the doctor because she was and still in pain and the only answer was to continue with her drops and treatment the doctor might see her in two weeks. How is that a patient that has advance glaucoma and her eye in extremely pain can’t be seen by her doctor for an emergency visit? Not just that but the fact of telling her that the doctor might see her in two weeks after expressing this terrible pain is inhuman.

NO FOR PATIENTS WITH SPECIAL CONDITIONS. Its evident the staff is not properly trained to deal with ederly or people with special conditions. I brought my mother in who wears hearing aid. While she is seeing by the nurse. I explained to please talk to my mom facing her so she can hear the instructions better and this lady just got mad replying to me: I am doing stuff in the computer that I need to do too. This is not the right answer to a customer or a patient that you are seeing. That sets the mood of course. I think with an simple OK will be sufice and move on. When I confront her with her attitud, it got worse. This is an indication of the low customer service manner towards elderly. This same nurse also said with attituded that she had so many patients and she doesnt have time. Time? I am just asking to PLEASE talk to your patient that you have there to her face instead of the computer screen. So, what is this? Nothing to do with time lady. No thanks. Defenitly. If you are looking for patient considered staff. This is not the right place for you. Yoing lady at check out was super sweet! Kuddos to her! We wont be back.

My vision was really affected by dense cataracts. Dr Perez performed the surgery to remove the cataracts and implanted intraocular lenses in both eyes to correct the astigmatism. Everything went perfect and as of today I have a 20-20 vision and do not need glasses. He and the staff were very professional and knowledgeable.

Although there was a very long wait which I hate, Dr. Perez and his staff are phenomenal and the waiting area is comfortable. Dr. Perez is an expert in glaucoma and cataracts. I highly recommend his practice if your primary care physician recommends a specialist.

I do not give 1 star because the doctor is good, but unfortunately the customer service is terrible, more than 1 month ago they sent a few drops to my mom who is not covered by insurance, I have called more than 10 times and they never answer, they just send a message, I must call from another number for them to answer, apparently they block the numbers or dial, but I'm still waiting for them to send the drops so my mom can complete her treatment

Dr Javier Perez
Excellent, friend of the patients, your love. Empathy, guidance and support keeps patients motivated. If you need an ophthalmological surgeon, he is indicated. Thanks for your support.

I can't believe how much better I see now. It's amazing. I had no idea that was even possible. My eyesight was 20/100 before the surgery, and now its 20/20!
