Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center reviews
16Always a good experience at ORMC I especially appreciate the care given by nurse Shekairia who went beyond regular duties to see I was comfortable. If I have a complaint it was my hospital stay extended a full day for no apparent reason. I had several unnecessary tests the previous day and they claimed they were waiting for results. At. 7: 15 am I was told I would be out before noon so my daughter took the am off work to pick me up. I left the hospital after dark! Again transport was polite and apologized but my daughter missed a full days work for nothing.
I arrived at 630 am to have MY ESOPHAGUS stretched as I do NOT have a stomach. When the digestive group, Dr. Bang's team, finished the stretch I had excruciating chest pain and severe headache. They transferred me to Orlando health in the afternoon for observation. The order was given. NPO. THERE WERE NO IV liquids PROVIDED. When RN Tana attempted to give me the IV as i was leaving, it blew the vein and went through my arm. It started leaking and then they came in, turned off the machine and then later came in and said i was being discharged. They placed a chest monitor on me.and it ran for a bit then no more. The monitor was never removed from me nor picked up from me upon discharge. No one discussed the results of the test. I was prescribed high blood pressure medicine. Can't take when blood pressure is low. I was told but RN Tana it was a water pill. I was prescribed sucralfate for stomach ulcers. I REPEAT. I DO NOT HAVE A STOMACH nor was I told I have any ulcers. To date i have not picked up those prescriptions or taken any blood pressure medicine.
Today. 11/7/23.my blood pressure is correctly 100/67 pulse 62. When I got home it was 90/67 pulse 62.
I have informed my primary care physician with the VA of all that has happened.
Exceptional care was given to me on the floor 5B and the Cath Lab. Excellent communication from physician to the nursing team on the floor and Cath lab team. If you ever need a vascular surgeon Dr. Jon Wesley was spectacular!
From the moment we drove up to the hospital, everyone was extremely helpful in getting him to preoperative care. The nurses Lindsay, Julia and Ariana were magnificent as well as the rest of the staff in preop and post op care that came in contact with him. They were very patient with my son who is handicapped with special needs.
I think I was discharged too soon, first day out had a problem breathing! My face is still numb. As far as Hospital staff seem to be phenomenal
I needed knee advice and they were all great. I have another health situation I deal with and needed to understand. They were informational and patient with me.love that!
Uneven delivery of care. Many good folks. For major burns sent me home with pain medication for three days. Only provided for three days. Have been forced to take one a day during dressing change. Some providers were excellent.
The people are very professional and dedicated to taking care of their patients. Very nice place and I would recommend it to anyone.
Great staff! All of my nurses and technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to be there the staff was very supportive toward me. The only negative thing was in triage that it was over crowded and short staff. It took me more than 9 hours to see the doctor. And I had to wait another 4 hours for a room to be put into.
I recently spent a few weeks here let’s face it no one wants to be in the hospital. However, if you find yourself faced with such a situation, you want to feel like I did at Orlando regional Medical Center the whole time I felt safe that I was in good hands and that they actually cared about me not sure what else to say A+.
The staff and my Doctor was great. They really care about what your going thru. And try to make you feel comfortable, and tell you exactly what they are going to do. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my health needs, as far as surgery. My
Plastic Surgeon from Orlando,
Couldn't had made me feel like I was in the best care.
Nurses let me suffer thru my first night of surgery without calling the doctor or resident for changing my pain meds that were not working. Poor iv care discharged with swollen right hand from iv. Currently being treated for infection. No shower till night before discharged after 4 days.
Just keep up the great job & may The Lord God Almighty in Christ Jesus continue to bless you all. Stay blessed!
The service and care I received was top-notch. Staff was very sincere and concerned. Five Star Service!
I faxed a request for medical records but it doesn’t seem to have made it there although I have verified the number and have a confirmation. Had I been told about this online way of requesting it, I would have the records by now. This was fairly easy. Melissa is the one that helped me with it and she was very kind and professional. I am 2 weeks behind now since I was told to fax the request on my initial call. I am currently and hopefully temporarily disabled so it was difficult to get out to get it faxed.
Our health care system is dysfunctional in so many ways. They do not look at a person as a whole which is a problem when a patient is complex. Lots of great nurses and not so great ones. I don’t appreciate being lied too. Also lots of poor communication and errors made during our 21 days. Not acceptable. The lead doctors need to be better at coordinating the team and reading notes in the system from the different people within the group to provide best service. I feel for the people who don’t have family or advocates.
