When I tore my posterior tibial tendon, I thought my athletic career was over. However, with Orlando Sports Medicine's expert help and support - I was able to not only compete, but compete on a world stage. The attached photo is of my finish at last year's Ironman World Championships in Kona.

I don't recommend peter at all 2 month with him nothing change and he don't know how to work in neck or desk hernatoin or lower back and just when we ask him he said I don't know and he put sore pain for long time

I began physical therapy with Peter Buffington at Orlando Sports Medicine - Altamonte Springs two weeks after a total hip replacement. Peter was very easy to communicate with and created a plan for my 10 sessions. Each workout was made interesting by the addition of different activities and I saw excellent progress in my recovery with every session. Johnny has been awesome! I’ve been having issues for 14 years with my hip (possible torn labrum). Lots of pinching and sharp pains when I do squats and lunges. My range of motion in a squatting position has been limited as well. Johnny has set me up with a dynamic plan of attack to get me back doing the sports and activities I love. I’ve completed three sessions so far and can get past a 90 degree squat with minimal discomfort. He’s also going above and beyond by helping me pinpoint and strengthen some weaknesses that have contributed to my chronic low back pain as well. Johnny is knowledgeable, easy to understand, and fun to work with. I would recommended him to anyone in search of solutions for chronic pain and mobility issues.

My first experience with sports therapy in relation to an injury I recently sustained. The facility is very well equipped and the staff is excellent. I worked with Johnathan who took the needed time to understand exactly what my injury was and what I needed to do to recover. I’ve been through 2 acl reconstructions and 2 different therapy businesses. And to say my end results were less than satisfactory is an understatement. For some reason in both instances I just couldn’t get the bend I needed to have a decent quality of life. From 2011 to 2022 I’ve been unable to do basic things that we take for granted. Squatting, sitting without holding something, sitting Indian style, using stairs, and of course running. Fast forward to the last couple weeks where I was able to meet Dr. McFadden, get a cortisone shot, and start therapy at Orlando sports medicine. I already have a better bend. My pain in minimal and Peter and his team are helping me physically and mentally through it all. They are great and I recommend them to anyone looking for an attentive physical therapy team. Thank you all and can’t wait to see what’s next for me.

After a pessimistic outlook from Dr-I was fortunate enough to find Altamonte Sports Medicine. The attitude they conveyed was so POSITIVE-with exercises, in just a few short weeks, I am much better-Peter and Mark have been terrific. Best PT ever!

From my first appointment with Peter, he took the time to listen to what was wrong, and they both were always very encouraging and understanding of my limits and got me on my feet in no time before my wedding.
