Ortega Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Center - A Sinceri Senior Living Community reviews
17 My dad exposed to Covid on lockdown. Terrible place! My dad had cardiac arrest while we visited on Father’s Day. He was transferred to hospital! After my dad discharged was refused by head nurse to return after Hospital discharge. He was transferred to Pruitt in Fleming Island. He was not observed and died from cardiac arrest!
Ortega Gardens continued to charge my mom $5000.00 a month until we removed his personal belongings from his private room. Not one person from facility called my mom or family to get status on my dad!
I would of loved so much tongive this facility 10 stars but they are not professional when it comes to hiring process and providing documentation of employment records. I recently got off the phone via text asking about my TB test copy and they told me they had no record but thier nurse whom I won't mention allow witj the administrator was in yhe office upon my testing and now so convenient they have no record of me coming in 2x to get read but I have and claim they can't find me in system when I provided them with accurate information. So disappointing with this facility and its very clean and beautiful.
After much searching for a place that was the "right fit" for my wife's mother, we decided to visit Ortega Gardens. We are so glad we did. The staff was amazing. Wendy gave us a tour and went out of her way to show us everything we wanted to see and answered all of our questions. We placed my wife's mom there and she is thriving, happy. The staff is experienced with memory care issues which makes a huge difference when placing a loved one in a facility. When she lived with us she showed little interest in activities but now she is very active and happy. We are so glad we chose Ortega Gardens. Thank you. Its been a blessing to our family.

The overall atmosphere is extremely welcoming; light, clean and offers a great outdoor space where residents can come/go. The staff go above and beyond with care and were extremely kind. I can honestly say, I always felt at peace knowing my Dad was safe and very well cared for. Everyone at the facility was top notch, but I have to recognize the personal attention provided by Wendy throughout the entire process - she was AMAZING and EXTREMELY helpful. In addition, Sharon took great care of my Dad throughout his entire stay; she really got to know him on a personal level. There are so many others that make it a positive place. Dawn, Sam, Richard, Tesha, Sherry.the list goes on. If interested, definitely go for a tour.
Our family was searching for a new place for our mother and found it here at Ortega Gardens. When she arrived she was welcomed like she was already part of the family. What an amazing staff and facility!
My Mom is here and she loves it. The staff are warm and caring and they take such great care of her. I would thoroughly recommend Ortega Gardens. They are excellent.
Wonderful, friendly team of professionals and caregivers at this gorgeous building. The staff have a passion for the care they provide and treat their residents like family. Stop in for a tour with Wendy and see what they have to offer. You won't be disappointed.
My Mama moved in at the end of 2020. My first contact was with Wendy. She is really compassionate and I greatly appreciate Her help in this transition for Mom. The facility is very nice but most of all they have taken very good care of Mama. If You are going through trying to find long term care for someone with dementia/Alzheimer’s, You should definitely go and check them out. R Pittman
My facility needed to place a patient that needed a Memory care center, and Ortega Gardens was our first choice to present to the family, it was a smooth transition!
Ortega Gardens is the third place I have tried for my Mom. What a difference from the other memory care facilities. They know how to handle dementia and the staff is amazing with the residents. I cannot say enough about how happy I am that I found Ortega Gardens for my Mom.
Ortega Gardens provides the best care for loved ones with dementia. The staff is wonderful - very caring and compassionate. I recommend this community to many families.
Wonderful facility. We would highly recommend Ortega Gardens for anyone looking for an assisted living facility to place their loved one. Our loved one had a wonderful experience here for respite care.
When searching for an assisted living facility for my mom, I wanted cleanliness, caring staff, and a place where my mom felt comfortable. During our first visit, we were greeted with smiles and "Hello, Pretty Lady! "
My mom beamed; she waved to the other residents like she belonged there. Everyone was so friendly. We had found her new home!
Wendy, Admissions Officer went above and beyond to make our move easy. Even the maintenance dept.offered suggestions as to what personal items to bring to make Mom's room feel like her home. She was so happy there!
While there her dementia became more agressive. The staff worked with Community Hospice to provide her the best care and comfort. Mom passed away while living at Ortega Gardens. When I went to collect her belongings, I received a hug and words of condolence from all the Administrative Staff. We'd become like family. What touched me the most was that all nurses and staff in my mom's section whether directly assigned to her care came to me to share a story about my mom or extend words of sympathy. Wendy found me and said, "I'm so sorry this happened while your mom was with us. " I responded, "I'm not. I knew her days were numbered when she began her journey here. I'm happy she was surrounded by people who loved her and cared about her during her final days. "
A memorial table was set up that included my mom's picture in the lobby. I was grateful that I was allowed to share plants from her funeral service with Ortega Gardens. On the anniversary date of Mom's passing, Wendy reached out to me; I still know I made the best decision for me and my mom. Kelli Heath
Ortega Gardens has been a great place for my mother. Very caring and respond when I have any questions
Is such a wonderful place. We lost our Bobbie Jo but know she was in good hands. Thanks to all for the love y'all showed. Even to me when I got to visit.
NEW NAME but same (if not better) compassionate and impressive care. The knowledge of the ED and other leadership team truly makes a world of difference when providing the highest quality of care possible. The residents and family love this community. The family events hosted by the facility are truly an impressive testament to the care this facility provides.
There are few activities offered on the weekends. Staff are often not fulfilling duties on weekends. Frequent change of staff. Cleanliness of facilities could be much better. Contract agreements are not honored. I would highly recommend frequent visits at random times if you have a family member at this facility.
