Outpatient Radiology at Riverwalk, Fort Myers FL

I had to have an MRI today and the front staff person was friendly and professional. I was very impressed with Pete, the imaging technician. He was very friendly and professional too, and did a great job explaining the procedure and did his very best to put me at ease when I told him I’m claustrophobic. This was my first MRI experience and although the machine was very loud and noisy, Pete gave me headphones so I could listen to the contemporary Christian music I had requested, which kept me calm. He treated me with the utmost respect. I would not hesitate to go here again should I need to in the future.

While waiting saw the techs bring out a very old lady on a wheelchair, setting her in the middle of the room wearing only an undershirt, midriff exposed (her jacket hanging on wheelchair) and just leave her there! Its 48 degrees out here in Florida and very windy. After a while a driver came, pulled her shirt down a little and pushed her out in the cold like that. Nurse or technician offered no dignity, no respect for an old lady. It's so sad to see a human being pushed around as a lifeless sack of potatoes. Karma is unforgiving. Shame on you blondie

They do not answer the phone but ask you to leave a message and they will return the call. They don't. Dealing with the surly receptionist is not pleasant. I asked them to send an MRI disk to my surgeons in Cincinnati. They failed to do so. I went back and got one and FEDEXed myself. The techs are capable and seem to know what they are doing. This lab is not worth the grief, frustration, lack of care and inefficiencies.

Total fraud - (Pay attention to how they bill your insurance) they code their procedures as “Lee Memorial HOSPITAL” (no NOT Lee Health) to bill patients & insurance companies maximum costs. Outpatient Radiology at Riverwalk has a few different names, I guess it depends which hat they need to wear to be able to maximize the amount they can charge for each specific scenario. For example, I needed an MRI and they reported themselves as Lee Memorial Hospital to BlueCross Blue Shields so they could charge 5 times as much. This caused my insurance to basically bill this as if I were having a surgery and my patient responsibility went from $100 to $650!

Excellent facility. Over the years, i have had a chest x ray, ct scan, and brought friends and family for assorted radiology. Friendly staff, clean facility, plenty of parking, never a long wait, convenient location.

The staff was great however my shoulder is only slightly better then it was when this started. I was charged over $5000! That's for 8 - 45 minute visits. That's $833/hr. That's a great wage! Way more then the doctor and the radiologist charged me! $3000 of the above charge is my out of pocket. Really? And you think I'll be back or recommend you? That will be a HUGE NO. I'll live with the pain. I can't afford this for the little that it did me. I had 6 weeks of rehab on my knee at Riverwalk sports and med rehab for less then this!

Very discourteous staff should be addressed. Many better facilities in the area, no reason to choose them.

The service is very good, quick, the people extremely friendly and profesional, I really recommend it. I was there for three opportunities and always was in this way.
