OYO Superior Budget Inn Bartow

As soon as we walked in there were roaches crawling on the wall. The entire place had immigrant farmers staying there with all of their dirty shoes lined up against every wall and they were outside or inside being loud all night. We did not feel safe but couldn't change hotels because there was no refunds. There was no hot water at all. Could barely sleep knowing the filth we were in. Had a bug crawl on my arm at one point and couldn't go back to sleep. We were here for one night for our sons state championship game since we live 2 hours away. The photos were extremely misleading. We will never stay at a place like this again.

If I can give this place 0 starts I would. The room was disgusting and all the sheets where stained and had hair on it. The furniture is falling apart and the bathroom had a dirty wash cloth from the last person who stayed there. After we refused to stay there and wanted to leave they refused a refund. Please don’t stay here.

The bed was disgusting. Cigarette burn holes in the sheets and dirt underneath. Bath towel had a huge dirt stain on it. We only went to this motel because of hurricane Ian and we were out of electric. We only stayed to use the shower and then left. Maybe there an hour or two. Never again.

Rooms are dirty for one, Cobb Webb's on ceiling, and bugs Roach's and spiders crawling around. Owner sprayed but only in a couple spots, cheap spray. Say free wifi but you can't get wifi even with pass code. I asked if I can have a broom to sweep the Cobb Webb's he never returned with one so I I took them down with a towel. I would never stay here again. I only stayed cause of storm Ian.

Horrible experience, the place is not safe! A person that was with us was robbed and beat up walking to his room.
The man at the front desk was nice but this place is not safe.

I had a reservation on Expedia. When I got to the motel, they had canceled it without letting me know. They said they wouldn’t honor it because it cost too little. They shouldn’t have accepted it in the first place if they weren’t willing to take that amount for the room. I would never come here again.

This Hotel is absolutely terrible and disgusting mattress had urine and what looks to be maybe blood on it with bugs. The A/c was hanging half out of the wall. After we refused to stay there because of the situation the manager refused our refund! Hopefully he can clean it up after I send the health dept these pictures of his room if I could give 0 stars I definitely would! BEWARE

A complete joke of a hotel. I booked this for a family friend in desperate need of somewhere to stay and I wish I hadn't. When the family friend arrived to their room and settled in, they pulled back the sheets and saw that there were stains. Not wanting to sleep on dirty sheets, they pulled those off of the bed only to find dead bugs in the mattress. Fun, right? My friend was tired after a 9+ hour drive and had to be up again in a few more hours, so they chose to sleep on the floor. They took video of the dirty sheets as well as the bugs on the mattress.

My friend wanted to cancel the rest of their stay, so I decided to call the desk to try and cancel the reservation and get my money back. I was met with complete hostility from the person calling themselves the manager. I explained the situation and was questioned as to why my guest didn't come to the front desk (again, they were tired and didn't want to exhaust anymore energy), and that they were a liar despite having evidence proving the claims. I was also sworn at by this manager and was refused help. He demanded that I send these videos to his personal cell phone, which I didn't, because I didnt want him to have my contact information.

I ended the call in frustration after being refused assistance and advised my friend to return to the front desk to show the videos. He did this and was told by the manager that no one called (our phone call literally ended 10 mins prior). Eventually I called the booking line and they were able to connect to the hotel and get my friend another room for the duration of his stay, but the entire experience was absolutely terrible and I DON'T recommend anyone staying here. Spend the extra coin to get a clean room with employees who know what good customer service is, because the OYO Superior Budget Inn Bartow does not.

After a couple hours in the room there were flea's jumping on me. The hotel was dirty and felt unsafe from the full time residents loitering late into the night. The owner refused (in a very unprofessional manner) a refund when I left without staying the night. I small price to pay for avoiding a flea infestation or my car getting broken into. Avoid this place at all cost.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst entame. They lie to you and try and take advantage of you. I came in town for work and went to them, they told me $717.00 for one week, and said that was the best price in town, and also said that was the last room they had for months. I have drove past that place every day going to work and never have I seen more the 5 cars there, IF THAT MUCH! Plus the place is dirty an ran down.

I called the STAY IN down the street, price is $370.00 a week and the place is much cleaner with better up keep!

The property itself did not look that bad. I took one look t the room and ran away in fear - too many rather seedy looking people walking around - two of them encamped outside the room i was assigned to, at first blocking the entrance. If and when the management chases these scary people away, this could be a tolerable location. Given the kind of people presently hanging around here, I cannot recommend this place. ADDDED LATER- THE ELCTRONIC RESPONSE CONFIRMS THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED. THE RESPONDER OBVIOUSLY HAS NO CONNECTION WITH, NOR UNDERSTANDING OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE LEGAL PROBLEM "HARBORING TRANSACTIONS IN UNLAWFUL SUBSTANCES". I AM BACK IN MY HOME IN NORTHERN ARIZONA; I HAVE FRIENDS IN THE BARTOW AREA WHO WILL WORK WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS TO SECURE THE PROPERTY, ARREST THOSE RESPONSIBLE. HOPEFULLY, IF AND WHEN A RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT TEAM CAN BE BROUGHT IN TO OPERATE THIS MOTEL, IT WILL BE A RESPONSIBLE MEMBER OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

Stay away from this crack palace.
Room smelled like vinegar and blood.
Now for 3 days they have been texting me pretending I didn't check out like a wind up to hit my card again. Handed my keys to the owner 3 days ago and I'm on the other side of the country. They Claim I'm still there. Complete crackheads from the guests to the owners.

Clean renovated room, quiet stay. My wife and I were a little concerned about the neighborhood and its safety.

Worst place ever there was no pool as they us. The pool was there but completely empty. It was not hotel rather a motel. Very bad experience glad we never stayed.
