Pahokee Campground and Marina reviews
20The staff was okay. They could definitely be a little more friendly and welcoming. The views are amazing. All sites are right against the water. Bring bug spray, but it is beautiful.
Beautiful sites! The laundry was clean and the employees were friendly (thank you Cheryl and Angie!). Fishing was amazing!
Pretty spot. All camp sites are on the lake's edge and there were plenty of openings even for a weekend. Watch the drive in and out if you have a long trailer, you will bottom out. The property isn't mowed well or kept flat and smooth (holes, etc.). To my surprise, the restrooms were really nice. Hot water took a minute or two to get hot but the showers are very large and new tile. No place to set your dry cloths or a bar of soap through. Was mostly quiet overnight except for an occasional trail going by. You could hear dogs barking nearby on and off and chickens somewhere in the morning. Unfortunately fresh manure was what woke us up in the morning. Overall not a bad place but could be much better.
Staff were helpful and on top of things, thanks! Beautiful serene views of the lake. Campground was spotless and we'll maintained during my visit. Pool and tiki bar were closed due to covid 19. Spaces are spacious, most on grass but first few have brick. On the down side, access is unrestricted and trains can be heard at night. I will go back and do some fishing from the pier.
It's a hidden Gem, Price $30 to $50 payed parking. The town is deceiving to see what awaits you at this over the hill they call dyke.
Nice showers. Marina here. You have to call, not on website reservations. Plenty of room. Recommended you drive 18 miles to Winn Dixie to purchase food. Good Sam excepted here. Love the Okeechobee lake.
Love this campground, love the view, love the breeze off the lake and love the sunsets over Okeechobee. Usually the same snowbirds, people and dogs. This year there've had a lot of electrical issues.
Fabulous campground. Camp sites are right on Lake Okeechobee!
They offer 30amp.and 50amp.service, water and sewer hookups at each site. They have tent sites also. Beautiful new pool area with lake and Marina views. Bathroom and showers are new and kept clean. Laundry facilities are awesome and feature new commerical size washer and dryers. Most importantly great management and residents. Very Quiet, safe and beautiful.
We generally go every year. They've done some nice upgrades to the facilities. We always have a blast. Looking forward to next year!
Poorly run. Managed by angry politicians. Pool has been down for at least 2 yrs. Black on white discrimination is rampid and ok here. Very sad.lake water extremely toxic. Thats the truth.
Love this place every camp spot is on the lake. Nice pier to fish off. Simply beautiful. Saw manatees swimming. Lots of gators as well. Down side is very little shade and the bathroom shower house although clean could use updated.
This is a zero frills CAMPGROUND. It is situated at water's of Lake Okeechobee. It is a great place to just relax.
The view is stunning. People very friendly no Wfi and no restaurant not sure about the pool. Price is right!
I was just there for the day looking if looks very clean and nice you can bring your big boats into
Super friendly staff!
Huge marina, kinda thought at first it was abandoned but there are a few boats at good dock most of them are broken and floating away!
Beautiful view of the lake!
The park is VERY busy people are outside all hours of the day and night.
Awesome camping option in central Florida. Almost always a consistent breeze off of the lake. Very relaxing if maybe lacking many nearby amenities. Stay out of the rocks unless you like snakes. A few stray cats in the rocks as well, but they're likely welcome as they keep the critter population at bay.
What a terrible place! This place is located in the ghetto and the whole time my family was there were two fights and someone broke into my cabin.
Love it especially in the morning when your walking and doing your exrcises. Early In the morning you see people doing their morning walks and evening 2.
About thanksgiving 2015 we stayed for 2 1/2 months loved the peace and quiet of the ocean and great people headed back and stay again.
Used to have issues with rough water but they fixed it.now waiting for people to come back because it's pretty dead but very nice and clean.
Awesome sunsets, very peaceful. Everyone very friendly. Will be returning to this hidden treasure. We did experience some very windy nights, but survived them. Cannot wait to go back again.
