Paint it and More, Southport FL

I hired Lance Mewes for an exterior paint job, and he starts the job, then a few says later announces he’s leaving town, and without my agreement “gives” the job to one of his workers, Steven Clark, a guy with self-professed ADHD. I figure a week later that the trip isn’t temporary but that Lance has totally abandoned my job. After 3 1/2 weeks of discombobulated efforts to prep my house, Steven informs me that he is out of money for the additional materials needed to finish prep. And in fact said he had been using expired products that were donated to him by Sherwin Williams. When I asked where the $3100 deposit was that I paid, he admitted the funds were spent elsewhere! So now I’ve just wasted $3100 because other painters that gave looked at the work said they will have to “start over” with the prep. After Steven left the job I discovered that due to absolutely no prep whatsoever, he splattered paint on my windows and tops of the porch roofs, and even my grill. He also used a masonry primer straight on wood and put caulk inside the weep holes of my brand new windows! All in all, it was a giant mistake to hire Lance Mewes, and apparently he has now moved to Indiana, so future potential clients everywhere need to beware!
