Dr. Paixao is the most unprofessional doctor I have encountered. I spent less than 10 minutes in her office. She does not speak, she shouts, when she asked me for information in regard to the orthopedist I had been scheduled to visit, I asked her to give me a minute so that I can look for the information on my phone notes. She proceeded to scream at me " you don't know who he is? " I asked her to give me a minute to pull out my notes, but she continued to berate me, and then she sent me to her assistant to pick up a blood test and sonogram order. Again, she is unprofessional, did not bother to listen to me, it was crystal clear that she just wanted to get rid of me. Once I left I saw how she called a colleague and/or co-worker into his office to chit chat. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

My daughter told me that Dr. Paixao trying to put her back on the transplant list by transplant list meaning her (Dr. Paixao) Cleveland Clinic transplant list, cause she afraid that my daughter kidney will fail even though she still making urine and no feet swelling. My daughter had been with Miami Transplant Institute for 6 years already and Dr Paixo wanna take advantage of my daughter kidney trying to fail it so she can go back to dialysis and I don’t want that to happen to my daughter again cause she miss out so much during her high school years and no parents wanted that for their own kids. The Miami transplant do her blood work pretty much every month or 2 weeks depend on her levels. Dr Paixo doesn’t take any advices from the Miami transplant doctors or her Rhuematologist because my daughter had lupus, she will come up with her own excuses and plan to think my daughter have this and that and want to do treatment her own way. She didn’t even bother to look at other doctors lab and said you need to do my labs cause I know better she shouted that at my daughter. My daughter will not be coming back with this doctor again we was trying to find a transplant center close to home and this is the worst experience and doctor ever! Better be safe sticking to Miami Transplant and her local nephrologist Dr Ira Lazar who is a well known doctor and good nephrologist in boca Raton because she need a local nephrologist who follow up with her every month while Miami doctors only see her 1 year or emergency issues like send her straight to the hospital immediately.
